One of the best stories I ever did see; Awesome gifs btw Dante

Bullshit! They can't seriously think this sensible? Surely, it'd make sense to just proper slash down prices as well? If you could buy N64 games for say...20p a piece, wouldn't you go and buy about all of them?! Saves them cost of destroying it too. I find it so hard to believe. I wish I was an eccentric millionaire gamer and I'd buy it all right now, then distribute it to the gamer massive/sell for small prices!

Is there a way to hard reset it? Basically something that resets it back to how it was when you first got it? Probably by pressing and holding in the reset button for 30seconds(or so is the case on my dlink di-524). I had to hard reset mine the other day after changing the pass then forgetting it lol. Of course, all routers are different and this might do something else to yours. I know with my router there's a thing you can do that makes it require a software install before working. In fact, it'd probably be best to get a firmware file just in case before doing anything, in the event that it can be totally wiped.

Wii Freeloader Thread - FAQ & Info in First Post

365games do Brawl+Freeloader with free delivery(3-5days) to anywhere in UK and various other regions for £40. £2 for first class, £4 for recorded, and £6 for next day. They claim same day dispatch for all orders before 3(Mon-Fri), and I ordered from them this morning, so I can't comment on how accurate their claims are, yet. If it's all true, it should be dispatched monday morning, and hopefully arrive wednesday or thursday. Don't think there's post on friday-monday cos of the whole easter shiz, but I might be wrong. I hope I'm wrong, cos I don't wanna be waiting too long! -
I feel like a bit of a slob reading this! I swear I've not been out(bar the front or back garden) of the house for a week or so, and on many occasions. I feel like saying the longest is 3 weeks, but I'm not really sure. If I try to think of it, I can see why I would, and why I wouldn't. For now, I'll stick with 1-2 weeks, due to me being on a break and having nothing much to do otherwise.

Sounds to me like it's a decision between the present and the future(well, the soon future and further future). You could have a good time for 3 years, and end up doing something you'd rather not be forever more afterwards, whilst of course the other option is the opposite. Yet, it seems with either course you'll end up in a similar place, right(game design)? So I see why it's a dillemma. Though, saying that, and knowing zip all about Bradford, I think if it does the better course/course you want to do, go there. It'll be hard for a while, but if you're there and immersed in it all, you've gotta be able to find some sort of place to fit in surely? You're gonna be one of those 3 black kids in the 1500 person school, so how did you, as one of the 1497 others, treat/think of them? Sounds like alot of preconceptions or prejudices might be getting in the way, try putting yourself in their shoes and think of things. Unfortunately, it's no guarantee though. There's the chance of Bradford being horrible, whereas Huddersfield is the safe and easy option, but part of me thinks if you go to Bradford you'll find your feet eventually, and you'll get alot more out of it all than just the course as a result. If you go to Bradford, would you be able to change after a year or so?

I see your point, unfortunately me quoting you kills your quote, but the second quote in that post looks to be totally wrong. It isn't wrong, I see you got it off the official instructions. I think in that case, it is referring in context to the second method, and by 'alternative selective upgrade method' actually means the first, main, method. I've just ordered my stuff from 365games, £40 and hopefully will get here wednesday or thursday(no post on friday, right?). I am so excited, I feel a bit like a kid, and it's some good motivation to get my work done off the pumpeduppedness! Viper, that sounds strange, have you tried it on a different TV or a different SCART socket on the same TV, if it has one? I have no idea why it won't work, but it worries me. -
Glad I'm not the only one with a problem with the art style, Dante's practically read my mind! When I saw it I thought it looked like some half arsed anime style, a bastardchild mixup of that an standard western fare. There's little point complaining though, cos let's face it, when has the art ever suddenly changed for a cartoon? As for the theme tune, despite ReZ's thoughts, I don't much like that either! The story/writing however, and the fact it has Spidey, will be enough to keep me interested.

Wii Freeloader Thread - FAQ & Info in First Post
Rummy replied to DiemetriX's topic in Nintendo Gaming
All right, the whole freeloader/brawl/other game shipping status was one thing, but now spoilers about Brawl are starting to creep into this thread. I don't know anything about the character roster, and I wanted to keep it that way, and would like to try and keep it so as well. There's a brawl thread, ok? Please go and use that for discussion of anything not announced on The Dojo, or put it in spoiler tags, please. The alternative method is simply to allow you to allow a disc to update your wii if it won't work otherwise(such as brawl). The normal method bypasses such an update, and even after using the alternate method once to let the disc install firmware, you must continue to use the normal method every time you wish to play the game from then on. Will the Freeloader work for sure afterwards? Well, if you're updating with the update on the current release of Brawl discs, and from a Wii with firmware 3.2E, definitely yes. Another game? Another version of the disc? Internet updates? Not neccessarily. If Nintendo manage to figure out a way to block the Wiiloader, they may put it on future discs as some sort of required upgrade before the disc will work. They could also modify the disc and make it so newly produced copies of Brawl do the same. Internet updates are similar. This is also in response to dazzybee btw, the freeloader is NOT entirely future/update/nintendo proof, it was a unofficial claim made by Datel that can't be guaranteed. However, the scenarios I present in this post are only scenarios, and may not necissarily occur, it's just worth keeping in mind what COULD happen when considering everything. -
Wii Freeloader Thread - FAQ & Info in First Post
Rummy replied to DiemetriX's topic in Nintendo Gaming
Damn you Noodle! I'm quite tempted to take you up on that, but if I'm ordering Brawl somewhere I'll be getting the freeloader for roughly the same anyway. Decisions decisions...I'll leave it for someone else at the minute. Thanks to the few people who commented my guide, and quite amazed to see it in the first post! Wasn't expecting that, but if it helps people, then I'm happy Thanks for sticking it up Ashley, great stuff with the compatibility list too, I was too lazy for that. and if anyone sees anything wrong with things do let me know(and someone who can edit the first post), I don't wanna get shouted at for misinformation :P. Also, not really an Freeloader issue as such, but it's been claimed that if you later decide to get the EU version of the game, the save will not work with it, so be wary of that if you're planning to do so when it's released. I'm gonna try and look for confirmation on this, but to be honest, I don't think it's gonna be at all possible to do until we actually get a release. The best alternative will be if anyone can check if it's an issue with a different game(ie anyone with NTSC NMH save try sticking a PAL NMH in their GC and see if it loads). -
I went to uni and saw my supervisor, he doesn't know I made up some results, but he advised me of some dogdiness to help my stats work(not *really* dodgy, but a bit sneaky). I am also quite sad, cos they didn't turn out how I wanted them to(only I could make up results that don't fit my hypothesis lol) and I've written all my introduction with it in mind. I have the option of handing this in friday after(2 weeks time like) or wednesday coming, and I could go with friday and do some research to make it better, but at most I reckon I'd improve my degree by 1-2%, and I really cannot be fucked with this anymore, I want it done and out the way so I can get royally munted. EDIT:Thought I might mention my good point of the day. I totally don't get betting(well, I get it more now) but given it was the Cheltenham gold cup, and that my dad and brother like to watch the racing, I thought I'd get my dad to give it a go for me. Got him to put 50p to win on the second favourite, then some on the next 4 favourites, figuring I'd break even at worst. Of course, I calculated totally wrong as I didn't know what I was doing, but my dad did it and put the last 4 each way, I think. My luck, 2nd favourite won and 5th favourite placed third, so I won like £2(overall, given losses and profits)! Small win, but it kind of makes me all happy for some reason I also now understand things a bit better

Meh, thanks for the info Nintendohnut. I guess it just means there's a challenge to make sure I get everything before the PAL release, when I can do it all over again!

Facebook WAS good, before it got filled with all this app and request shit that practically turned it into another myspace. It's still good for the old elements it retains, but I don't use it as much as I used to cos of all the crap on it. As for AOL/TimeWarner, what else do they own technology wise? Something I found in Winamp the other day made me think AOL had bought it, which was a bit of a shock, but it doesn't seem to have had any detriment anyway.

I would actually say this case is more out of the ordinary than that, in that you are specifically filtering out an attribute that the bear has, it's colour. Colour is quite a primitive and high up method/mode of selection, and I have no doubt this experiment would be much more different if the bear was in pink, brown, yellow or pretty much any colour but black. In fact, I'm fairly sure I was told it was replicated, but with the black team doing the passes that you're asked to count, and in that condition alot more people see the gorilla. While it's technically selection, I'd rather call it exclusion, you're specifically filtering out black because you've already concluded any black you see is the other team's players. When you're reading a book, or watching TV, you've selected to pay attention to the TV, but not to exclude anything specific, if you get my point? The only other interesting effect I could offer that contradicts this is the name/cocktail party effect, where other people saying your name can have interesting effects on what you're doing. It's incredibly hard to ignore your name apparently.

Gonna pimp 365games a little bit here, though I've not had any experience with them, you can get the game and Wiiloader for £40 from them, and for delivery(though I dunno what kind of delivery) to the EU it's only £3, so you're looking at £43 delivered from them, but as I said I have no idea what their EU delivery will be like as there's no estimates for EU and that. It appears they ship from the UK though. The other more overseas(like VG+) companies might offer a better deal for you though. Yes Asia offer 'Free Shipping to Anywhere in the World' but they only sell Brawl and not the Freeloader, with Brawl current sitting at ~£29 from them. They estimate 6-12 business days for shipping, though there's some issue with Tax with them that I don't understand. Apparently they'll pay UK and German tax, but I don't see where it crops up, I think it's only if you get charged tax by customs? To put it simply though, some of the other guys probably know better than me. EDIT:You know, I wrote this the other night but then stopped as I saw Ashley say he was gonna do one, and hence I don't have the GC section done, but regardless, I decided I might as well post it cos...well, cos I already made the effort to do it! I might as well not waste that. So, for anyone who cares, a short guide to the Wiiloader by a man who doesn't have one...yet. -
Cheers for that Hellfire. I'm getting so close to buying this on the weekend! A very good question as I'm planning on PALing things over when the Euro version finally comes out. The whole playing between friends thing makes me think, they should have let you transfer player data with a Wiimote!(like how it can carry Miis). It'd be cool to be able to go round a mate's, play some smash, and get my stats updated for transfer back to my own console, and onto his console. Know what I mean?

Can anyone tell me, the 'story' mode that I've heard a few people say they've completed, is it not got the replayability similar to the Adventure mode in the original? I played that an awful lot to get it done with every character, and all up to the Normal difficulty, is this game gonna have the same playability like that in the SE? Is it like that in Classic? I know it's mainly a multiplayer game, but I want some single player stuff that'll keep me going as long as Melee did.

Credit isn't due to me, I got it from a post Serebii quoted in this thread, so credit to him and the guy he was quoting. I'm so close to caving too On the display issue, is it just the RGB cable having problems? I'm not sure if I asked that yet. -
Lol, I got the sarcasm bit, I just thought it was interesting how hard some people tried to deny it originally, instead of reasoning that it's, well, quite reasonable to miss it, like you did.

I don't trust ONM much, I remember them giving rave reviews to 40 winks, but I don't remember hearing anything much about it after it came out. Nowadays I think it's best to get alot of reviews from various sources, and that's where gamerankings and gamefaqs comes in mighty handy! Despite the good reviews, I think I'm gonna pass up MKWii for a while, unless I start working again soon, cos I'm gonna go with dwarf's plan and import brawl instead methinks. I'm just not rich enough right now, and given the choice between the two I've gotta go for Brawl.

I considered that earlier, as well as whether or not you could copy a freeloader disc. Is the Wiiloader 8 or 12cm? -
Apparently when the experiement was originally done on a large scale amongst a number of scholars, they refused to believe that the footage shown after they'd been informed was the same footage. Also, what happened to your awesome stick dudes sig?? And you, with your lack of cool avatar! Boooo! As for your actual post, you'd think that, but it has some rather interesting implications for psychology and models of attention. Such a paradigm hadn't really been considered before this, or so said my lecturer(she loves showing it off too ). I like it, because alot of people find it such an astounding thing to happen, humans unfortunately tend to think much higher of themselves than is actually true.

I think it's a bit early to conclude that to be honest and I beg to differ. We don't know why GC doesn't work properly, or why there's display problems with certain cables, if it happens to everyone, if the other two display methods are ok etc etc. I still wanna know if a GC freeloader booted from a Wiiloader will overcome the GC issues too. I've heard good reports of the online too, but no confirmation that it's 100% as it should be. Ty for that, as I said, I'll probs order from them and when I do I'll feedback, gonna try and place the order sunday or monday before 3, I'm a bit confused on the display front, there's 3 different types of AV cable for Wii, correct? The standard cable, which is composite. A SCART cable, which is RGB, and a 5 split RCA which is Component, right? If it's not too much or too technical, how does the Component and RGB scart differ, if they both carry the 3 streams seperately? Pfft, you can get the same deal from 365games for a few quids cheaper! In fact, for £7 cheaper than that, you can have it next day delivered! -
I liked the CGI one dammit! I wish it had got at least another series. Anyway, just watching the first episode of this. First impressions? Meh. The style seems a bit too cartoony and light toned, especially compared to the 90s version, but hopefully it's gonna get a bit darker and more serious along the way. I like the story and writing, kind of, it's light hearted and jokey, with some classic spidey banter. The art...not so much, it seems too...round? I guess it's just a case of it being tweaked to appeal to modern audiences, but there's something about it which gets me. I had to agree a bit with what Cube's just said as well. The villains though? The enforcers and the vulture appear in the first episode(not an origins one) and they seem to have been given a nice new take, which is pretty cool. Seeing the enforcers in the first ep feels good, as I don't feel they've had much exposure in previous media bar the comics. A few significant characters have appeared already too, which is cool. I think really my only issue with it is probably it's moderness? It feels like it's made for today, and as much as I thought I'd like it, there's just that element grating on me. If I compared it to anything, it'd be Xmen Evolution, only from this first episode, not as well done. Now, I go on a quest for the second! Seen the second episode, quite nice, somehow it all grew on me in between cos I kinda liked it compared to how I reacted to the first. My only biggest issue is Liz Allen, who seems to constantly call Peter 'Petey' despite being a preppy cheerleader who appears to not know him(unless this is seeding for some backstory between them) and also, she talks like a ghetto retard. I don't mean that figuratively either, she literally sounds like she is from a ghetto and has some sort of speech impediment or mental disability. It really grated on me. She had grown on me a bit by the end though, but only for the potential she has. I'll be honest, I don't know alot about her early character as it is, so this may be how she is in the comics. No signs of MJ yet though, which is a bit weird considering how many important faces are otherwise being thrown in. This episode featured electro, and I enjoyed it. All feels a bit face paced, but I guess they only have half an hour to do things in, and they aren't planning on super long story arcs like the 90s. I'm pretty sure I know what's coming up in the next episode too, can't wait! I like the way there's little things here and there.

Has anyone ordered from 365games that can comment on their service? It says same day dispatch for orders before 3, and 3-5 days for the free delivery, have they kept to that? If I order it from anywhere, I'm tempted to go with them due to it being £40 for both, and so I'll not encounter the issues of having them seperately.
