  1. I do believe Jordan just won this whole thread with that excellent post, if a little...not thought out? Brilliant, cracked me up royal I think I'm onto his secret plan though, it's a very clever attempt to secure some boobage, isn't it!
  2. Well, that isn't a very action packed ten! Why not import it using a freeloader, that's what I'm doing, though I guess there is the risk of them blocking the freeloader somehow, I'm just gonna avoid doing updates until may or so at worst, and possibly buy the EU version when it's released too. Good to hear
  3. Yeah, turns out that it's been 'despatched' now, though I swear that's spelt wrong. tapedeck's post makes me feel fairly confident that it'll be here by next monday, delayed only by the easter weekend post, which isn't their fault. I'm a bit worried about the issues people have been having though, and whether or not my big TVs will be able to play it. We've got 2, and I know one won't, and the other ones got some gammy screen burn issue like, the colour distorts after being on for a while(namely in certain points of the screen, when there's been whiteness there) . Most noticeable when pausing, cos of the 'button' options being white. I guess at worst I'll have to play on a small TV, but I won't complain too much, cos I feel for all those people who can't play at all.
  4. Damn, massive shame. You could probably manage to sell them on ebay, or with a post in the wiiloader thread here, or the private trade/bargain board. I can imagine some forumites are considering importing still.
  5. Similarly, I was gonna reply with my ideas being don't do it, but the first post does sound rather nice. It could work quite well too, when I think of all the masks and sidequests present in MM, sidequests in OoT, being different races in MM etc. It could work rather well actually! It's very unlikely of course, but you've half sold me on the idea darkjak! As long as it didn't really affect the direction the series is heading in otherwise, I'd be well up for it!
  6. He means the fuse inside the Wii's plug, not the electric circuit's fuse. If you're not in the UK, I dunno what sort of plugs you'll have, but UK plugs will have a small fuse inside the plug of the Wii which you need to change. Ensure you get a similar rated fuse to replace it(it is probably 3A, but it'll say on the current fuse anyway).
  7. Thanks Tales. Have you got no way of playing it now then? That's gotta suck hard Mine's still on it's way, and hopefully I won't have any problems. What, you mean you don't know how to?? Pftt, you should read some of the stuff I got from it, this game's gonna be amazing!
  8. This is getting me worried now, but I think I understand Jordan's point about PAL60 and actual NTSC(which I didn't before). Does anyone know if there's any way to test your TV for being definitely NTSC capable? Also Tales, what kind of cable were you using? EDIT:Just thought I'd mention, checked my ordered on 365games's status, which I placed on saturday morning. It says that as of 8.59 this morning it was 'being picked' but it doesn't say dispatched yet. Hopefully it'll change soon, either that or they just lied about their service.
  9. Hats off for the sensible thread suggestion, I'm really trying to avoid spoilers at the moment cos I want the game to be magic all along the way. Can anyone tell me though, in online, can you do any forms of co-operative stuff?
  10. I went to sleep at quarter to 6, I dont know where time goes cos it sure wasn't a productive night. Woke up about 1ish, went down for breakfast/lunch before cracking on with work, then my mum came down, then I had a fucking heinous argument with her about what a terribly ungrateful son I am, and what an annoying mother she is etc etc. Crap stuff. Now, to crack on with work
  11. lolwut. That is pretty much my entire feelings on the matter, with a brief glimpse of a camp and limp handed 'Oh you, you're so silly!'.
  12. 1. Use firefox. 2. Look up this IE 'Protected Mode' thing, try and turn it off in the settings or so. 3. I think it's also a part of Windows Defender, so go into control panel and have a shufty round in the Windows Defender settings and whatnot. 4. These suggestions might not solve the problem entirely.
  13. Far too soon? What on earth are you talking about? This is NINTENDO we're talking about. Now'd be about the right time to announce Zelda, judging from how things went with the last one, don't you think?
  14. Giggidy! I starting on my work, basically just putting in references, cleaning up a bit here and possibly there, I'm far from finished. I don't think I'm gonna be sleeping tonight or tomorrow.
  15. What a fucking mess. A 75 year old with an 18 year old step daughter?! Unbelievable. Jokes aside, it is quite a mess. I'll admit, I've been to a similar sort of party once, one where there's so many people there who clearly weren't properly invited(tbh, I wasn't properly invited) and the poor girl's house got trashed, but I was one of the few trying to get some order to things and not fuck up a house. I don't understand how people can honestly have such little respect for other people's property. Despite that though, it's possibly one of the most memorable nights of my life. Every room you went into, people were smoking weed, soooo much weed. Luckily however, there was only maybe 50-60 people(probably less) people at this one, and some of us managed to get it all calmed down and everyone out by the end of it. I don't see that happening when you've got 2,000 people crashing a party though. Then there's mob/group mentality to consider, people do shit just cos everyone else, or cos of shared responsibility and whatnot. If I knew though, would I go? Yes, under certain circumstances I would(if i was still 16 like). Would it make me a bad person, if I went with a ton of people but didn't break everything? I think I would, cos there's a certain atmostphere to it that's pretty awesome.
  16. I'll help you if I can, I'm sharing your pain. I have a psych dissertation due wednesday(or next friday, but i want it out the fucking way even if i could get a better mark otherwise). I've done NO work today, I don't know how I manage to be so unmotivated with such a heinous deadline looming! I'm gonna deffo finish my intro, abstract, method and results before I sleep, so I am left only with my discussion and conclusion left to do over the next two days. Shit. two days. Read that! It looks alot scarier now. On the plus side, read all of Iwata Asks Sakurai today, and learnt alot about the fella. Didn't know who he was before really, now I know he worked at HAL, so did Iwata, he created one of my most favourite characters ever, Kirby, and the Smash Bros. format! He seems like an incredible designer from what Iwata described, very maticulate, knowing final details before a plan is even fully drawn up. It makes me want to liken him to Miyamoto. Also, mate's band(link in sig) just got played on BBC Radio Kent! Cool stuff for them, they're on a BBC tour soon too. Antikid, you heard the name here first!
  17. PotatoMoto Returns! I loved the original with him, though I can't remember the point of it at all. *goes to look*
  18. Sounds weird that your TV can't do it if it can do 60Hz, but as I've said, I'm not an expert on display shiz. Anybody heard back from flameblade? I haven't seen anymore posts, I'm wondering if maybe he managed to get it to work and has been playing nonstop ever since
  19. So, in the past some unspecified youths have claimed the church should be a mosque. This man is attacked and the youths who did so called him a 'fucking priest', thus these youths are clearly religious muslims? Would you have thought this immediately if you didn't know of the first part? I'm being pedantic, but it's a link inferred but not stated, and it just contributes to the problem of the whole issue. Were these youths muslim, and how do you know? I find myself leaning toward's a similar opinion as ReZ's post anyway, religion seems to cause alot of problems, but I feel people should be free to be religious, as long as they do so without intolerance. I think everyone needs to be careful, some people come across to me as being just as intolerant or prejudiced as those they're accusing. I think the Burkha is not as big an issue as some people are making out, though there are some valid points in their claims. I think, all other issues aside, it's just disgusting behaviour that an innocent man was attacked by some punk kids after he asked them to quieten down. Forget religion or race, the fact this guy was just looking out for his church, and was attacked in doing so, is a disgrace. It's the sort of attitude that I feel is among a number of teenagers today, and it goes beyond religion and race. People need to have some fucking manners and respect, cos everything's just going to the shitter.
  20. -Terrible Jokes. I'm talking old man/dad humour here. -Complaining about stuff like an old man, and damn punk kids these days! -Chewing shit, generally plastic stuff, I cannot explain why but I have a habit of chewing random crap, and I love it. -Bad/Generally disliked Music. -No matter how bad or how unfunny it might be to everyone else, I cannot resist any oppurtunity to make a joke. -Sugar/Sweets. I'm a fiend for sweets. I've eaten ~3 bags of skittle over the past 3 days. -Rolling my hair in my fingers. -Cracking my knuckles, the louder the better. Sometimes randomly doing the finger slap thing, if you know what I mean(like a whip of the hand slapping your first two fingers to make a slap noise). Sneezing hard and loud. -Sarcasm. -Bit of social network stalkery. -Saving money through various means, such as being a pirate. -Kids shows and cartoons. -Two pints. -Being intentionally annoying in a niggly way to certain mates. Being immature. -Big yawn stretches. -Singing in the full knowledge that I can't. -Procrastinating. -Occasionally watching Trisha. -Stuff that shines. Borrowed some I hadn't thought of that other people did. I used to do Mundi's thing of washing my hands in reallly hot water, and sometimes I turn the shower up right at the end so it's sooooo hot before turning it off. I love being hot.
  21. Happy Birthdays!
  22. Heheh, I liked this muchly. http://i29.tinypic.com/1zx6ttt.jpg Wish there was a way you could properly see it from the beginning though.
  23. If it makes things any better, I tend to get drunk in equal measure on both days :P Probably more so on St.George's though, but I never tend to remember when it is compared to St Patrick's. Anyway, Happy St Patrick's to everyone who's gonna be celebrating, I shall not be due to dissertation deadline on wednesday, so I hope everyone has fun while I'm slaving away!
  24. I'm fed up with Nintendo pulling shit like this, as far as I'm concerned, I'm not believing a single thing until I see it. He should have done something productive with his time like give the EU a Brawl date.
  25. Hi, sorry the instructions in the first post weren't detailed enough, they were quoted from what I wrote(though i don't own the wiiloader yet) and I assumed people would understand or know of the brawl update on the disc. Basically, discs can carry firmware upgrades, you'll know because when you try to start the game, it tells you, I didn't think there'd be much room for other possibilities. However, it seems to not be recognising your disc at all, and it may be a problem with the freeloader, or the procedure. Just to reclarify Shadow's instructions, when you put the Wiiloader in, the 'bars'(more of a smudge from right to left across the screen) roll across right to left once and return, then once more, for a total of two times. The wii menu then looks like normal, at which point you remove the freeloader. Of course, in the case of brawl and installing the update, you must put the wiiloader back in for this to happen again('bars' roll across and back twice), THEN put brawl in, and try and start it in the disc channel. The Start button may say Update instead of Start. If even after this it still doesn't work, contact the people you bought it from. It could be a faulty freeloader, a faulty Brawl, or at worst, you might have a faulty Wii that can't even register Brawl(though I imagine it's unlikely, as the dual layer reading shouldn't be needed for the inital disc info read, but I also don't know the technical specifics).
