My offer stood only to Murray himself, I'm afraid. At risk of 'mentioning that again', I'm well aware of the length of your penis, also.

To be fair, I found that when I first posted on the boards there was rather an overlap of members in both! There's a few members I still see in General whose names I often see when I pop into the gaming boards, so I don't think it's fair to say people don't haunt both. Unless you give me some numbers. Numbers and statistics and then I will believe everything you wish to tell me.

Someone did already mention the DS though, is that not rampant with the easiest piracy out there, yet still thriving as one of the best selling consoles of our time, possibly even ever? Wii piracy is not too hard either, but that's doing well too?

Why doesn't my Wii Remote work? And can you tell me how to fix it?
Rummy replied to sam213's topic in Nintendo Gaming
I tend to only get that communications have been interrupted when the batteries die/wiimote turns off. I second S.C.G's sentiments though, it sounds as if it could be unfixable, or at least take a bit of work to do so. Attempting to obtain a replacement sounds the easiest solution. Have you only one wiimote? If you have more than one does it happen with any others also? If it does then it is unlikely the wiimote itself at fault. -
I had a dream my sister bought me a 3DS and it came with Paper Mario(at first I was disappointed I didn't get OoT but then saw that) only it was half in japanese and half in english and something weird happened and I wasn't sure if the 3D worked but it felt a bit better than normal. I am so sad now that I've woken up, and realise I do not own such a thing Is Paper Mario going to be released with it, or is its date unknown?

Who said it's going to be £200?

I originally joined the forums because my pants could not contain the excitement I had for the upcoming release of the Wii and I think I was bored in a uni class and there was a building I saw through the window that looked like a giant Wii also. I used to be all over the gaming forums, namely Wii/DS, with a lot of time chilling here in General also. As time's gone on, I game less/more broadly and don't really follow the world of it anymore, and so I kind of just skim the gaming forums these days also, essentially I'm on the forums much less also and so I kind of thin myself out. General's still where my heart is though, I wuv you guys <3

I hate Sony, so I'm not unbiased. I see why they're doing this, I also remember they shut down lik sang. They're thugs and bullies with lots of monies. I wholeheartedly agree with the hacking of consoles, the world of possibilities it can open for what you can do with the hardware you've bought is amazing sometimes. Also for the record, I homebrew channelled my Wii, but never used it for Wii piracy.

Really? Did you neglect to notice the 30 new stars and 3 new playable characters, some slight different mechanics with them etc? I though what they did with SM64DS was the BEST way to do a remake, remake and update, add something new, not just port the old. As for the lighting complaints, well, for one a console displays on an external display, so sometimes that's adjustable, the DS is its very own screen. I also find most press shots tend to look more vibrant than they do on an actual console. Having said that, I actually quite like this vibrance! I understand the murky atmosphere was quite a big thing(played some of master quest just tuesday, so i do rather know the feel), but I think if I did invest in a 3DS, I'd invest in this also, depending on the price point.

I wouldn't recommend it, as much as she is probably vexing you by not being in the kitchen, domestic violence can result in you spending time inside. Just take some deep breaths and count to ten, maybe try a can of lager to help you calm down.

I find a large number of my friends slowly evolve over the course of time. You lose some, you gain some etc. I presently do have a number of friend 'groups' with some overlap between them as well. When I was young I had school friends, who I still have(tho as I said the lineups have changed), then I made friends with some of one of my friend's friends, and meet more people slowly through them, again rolling in different friend groups, and I also made friends with a guy at work, and resultantly his brothers(one who knew a few of my friends) and resultantly all THEIR friends. I've rarely made friends with an absolute randomer, however, circumstance makes it feel difficult to keep, and I find that a bit...challenging as well? I'm not sure how to explain it, but it doesn't seem so easy to make good friends with a total randomer, having another friend as an 'in' makes you seem less creepy lol. However, I do a lot of my meeting of these people, and hanging with them, by being out in the pub, and if you don't like pubbing then it can be a lot harder! People are there TO be social, it's a perfect situation imo! My only other advice would be the social/activity clubs or college classes you're interested in(killing two birds with one stone!), these days I'm sure there's also cool sites for finding people/making friends, but I don't know of any but it's an option for trying, there may well be people in a similar boat to you! I actually do kind of share your sentiments that having so many people and not enough good/close ones around you can feel kind of lonely, though. Now whilst your friends are sort of drying up(bad phrasing) could be a good time to do any crazy travelling or something if you can do so without much hassle and wanted to? I find one of the biggest things needed in order to make/keep friends though, is to be outgoing enough, you do sometimes need to make sure you see them/invite them places/arrange stuff, otherwise you might just get left behind and forgotten. Can be draining though. Can wind you up being 'the arranger' as well.

I cared so little about this I haven't even seen it really since I saw the episode after the dastardly episode in question. This is because I've realised how little I care, but seeing stuff in the papers I walk past and this thread here, kind of makes me want to be seeing it just so I can share in getting riled up somehow, and I get the urge to watch EastEnders. Then I realise I'm not a twat. So I'm now avoiding this thread and this whole 'scandal' forever.

I love somebody started this thread by pointing out the cunning of foxes. I feel bad for you though Murr, I lost two rabbits cos a fox got into their run, and another got taken by a fox whilst I was on holiday, and it's quite sad. I think it's such a horrible way to go too that makes it feel worse. I think foxes are pretty clever though, I wouldn't put it past them to learn how to open hutches etc. When we used to keep our rabbits' hutches outside we bolted them with a padlock just in case(cos the little turny paddles are hardly secure).

If only one could control the pigment. jklolz, you'll always be my favourite frenchie. To retribute for the ginger hating, I present a rather impressive effort by my friends when drank, fell asleep/drank too much, went home/drank a bit more; Before: During: After:

I haven't bought a DVD or Blu-Ray in forever except as a present. I don't like move to digital distro tho, as(altho i rarely actually watch stuff) it's nice being able to borrow/lend stuff. The last 5 years technology and the internet have evolved massively(i'm pretty sure 5 years ago wireless was only just become an isp standard), so I'm not ruling anything out for the possibilities of another 5 years time. I'm not sure if/how well this will work though, maybe trying to take the route of Netflix(which I hear is awesome in america, and shit over here), but I think it's also highly motivated by a can't beat them join them attitude to try and get a grip on the problems of piracy and the losses it's causing for these big companies. Personally, anything involving Sony, I think I'll avoid.

I don't actively watch eastenders all the time, but I do watch it sometimes. I happened to see the episode in question, she did literally snatch the baby. She left her house, went over the square, went into the vic, swapped the babies whilst charlie(who was watching kat's baby) had conviniently nipped downstairs to have nye pint with everyone, and returned to her house. Also conveniently both babies were wearing matching outfits that alfie had bought earlier in the day. Kat was back in hospital due to having had some haemorrhaging, alfie by her side, cue returning back home afterwards declaring the dead baby isn't hers and people thinking she's just in denial. I don't know what it's like to lose a baby, and never will from a mother's point of view, and so I can't discredit all these mothers who are complaining. I'll be honest, I did have some serious gripes with the story and the way it was executed, but that was mainly due to the fact it seemed to be FUCKING RETARDED. I know the babies were only supposed to be like 2 days old or something, and I DO think that babies tend to look rather alike, but honestly, they don't look exactly the same, do they?! Find it really shocking that such a terrible storyline got made the xmas/nye special dealie. Apparently this whole thing was supposed to run until next christmas, too.

Desktops Not Necessarily Aligned To One Particular Lunar Cycle!
Rummy replied to Emasher's topic in General Chit Chat
What can I say, I live in organised mess. Way of my life, really, also helps people not be snooping my shit. For those wanting my balls; http://img217.imageshack.us/img217/1176/1291663413639.jpg Google has turned up a non-coloured version too(was trying to get as big a res as I could and avoid a re-up, but couldn't re-find mine), http://www.pulsarmedia.eu/data/media/26/Light_Balls.jpg -
Link machines/cards generally don't charge. Even so if you don't want to switch then don't, just open another account with someone who WILL give you a decent debit card and use them for online purchases, transferring/depositing money when needed or keeping a small amount in it topped up for when you need it, in that event I'd recommend your nearest bank/building society who does decent accounts as you can do easy cash withdrawal from your main and deposit to them, rather than waiting for 3 day transfers etc.

I hate you. Opps I mean, happy birthday! Yayz! How was it? Cider filled/fuelled? Board gamey? Tell tell tell!

Well yeah Game are the original and worst, but they kinda weren't relevant to mention in my original post :p, I DID have a feeling HMV dabbled in second hand(thanks for everyone needing to point it out despite my expressed doubt) but I still believe they don't have enough of the market to really do that. Game didn't once, really, it's just they pushed it really hard and it kind of took off, I guess. I grew up well reluctant to anything but brand new, but after working in game, I'm all about second hand(mainly off tinternets now, and only in a decent condition). HMV originally, imo, built their name on being the people of choice. Not as in of consumer's choice per se, but in that they offered a MASSIVE choice, CDs, VHS, DVDs(when they hit), man, HMV(and in some respects in my mind, MVC their main competitor at the time) offered such a massive range of choice they cornered the market with it, sort of. These days though, they're vastly outperformed on those counts, and they need to adapt and keep up, or go belly up. As for those concerned about their local HMV closing 'because it's the only decent local place for entertainment' etc, I'd say if they had any sense they'd be keeping those ones open cos they have a market sorted, it's the hight street ones competing with 5 other stores within 100m that need shutting, cos it seems they just can't keep up. However, that's my opinion, even if those stores are struggling they might look at it in absolute terms of those stores pulling more actual money in(due to increased human traffic etc), and shut down the back end ones. Credit details vs Cloud Storage(if i'm understanding rightly) are not equate-able, one is a payment method one is a product storage/distro method, surely that's not the same thing? The strangest thing for me is that all these people complaining that if their local store closed it'd be the last decent local place with choice/range etcetc, what's wrong with tinternets? Shouldn't you be more inclined to internet shopping? I find it weird because I have so many shops around here that if any closed down another that sold the same product would be equally close by probably, yet I very rarely do any high street shopping and mostly shop online?
-
Strike me as a company who've relied on the name/branding to charge people high prices, possibly same for the Waterstone's label too, but you can't really do that these days, high street stores need to compete with both the oft cheaper online market, the ever increasing second hand market(something I believe HMV don't touch? Or maybe I'm wrong), and also the existent help of the internet in helping find high street bargains and cheapest sellers. These days I believe a lot of people who are going out to the shop for something, tend to know exactly where they're going to get it from and how much they'll pay before they've stepped out the door.

For some reason I always think of him as a poor man's Patrick Stewart, I never know why that thought always pops into my head. Still, one of those actors who put the great into great british, not sure we even have decent young ones these days.

The way I see it, taking his name was a punishment for his previous actions, and a banning is not to be taken lightly, thus...you fuck up, you lose your name...FOREVER.

Could somebody tell me how or why the fuck we have results from the N-E awards, I feel like some terrible fate is upon us and the universe...
