  2. Yeah, you know we're gonna need pictures of that.
  3. So yeah we've totally missed the ball on the christmas meet-up, and before the summer meet-up maybe I'm going to propose...an easter meet! Votes on where you want it, bias leans to london for my own ease and the fact i am posting this thread and if you don't like it make your own. Preliminary date of Saturday 16th April, but also open to suggestions on that depending on people(mainly the studenty sorts who'd be closer to london on different dates). Specific location wise I'm ruling against Hyde Park so as not to overshadow it for a potential summer location, thinking a possibly day in a london pub(Cheshire Cheese) or if people are actually willing to travel that tiny bit further, Greenwich Park. Tbh I realise it's so close to a potential summer meetup it'll probs never happen, but I'll try my luck any way! If anyone twists my arm with an easter brum meet-up, I'd likely make that too if I could find somewhere to stay(for you complainy northerners, that's the furthest/maybe only norther place i'll go :p)
  4. I'm swimming with the fishes now pirate-wise so probably definitely in for this.
  5. Arrr, I have joined the land of the spirits, no longer fit for those of the bottle. Godspeed crew, sail with the rum in yer bellies and yer hearts too!
  6. I still disagree with knowing/opening presents before xmas day. I haven't felt xmas at all this year but still disagree. You're also pretty much constantly in touch with people these days due to technology, so just ring/text them your reaction when you get them! If anything a half heard reaction is more good to experience imo! My friend had a few peeps round hers last night and my other mate there gave me a present at like 10 to midnight, I still waited that shit out before I opened it! As for what I got; not alot. Technically a car battery, monies, and...yeah, that's it. Monies from the rents, monies from the bro, and...FUCK ALL from the sis. She didn't get anyone presents! Now, she's usually generous, and this year I spent ~£120 on her and my bro so I wouldn't feel horrendously shit giving them a weakass value present compared to what they get me, but for her to not get ANYTHING?! She said she didn't because she's broke, I work less than her and earn a definite lesser wage than her and she says she can't even scrape some presents for family, not even shit cheap things! I do feel awesome being the youngest and least financially stable but outspending them both :awesome: (overlooking they also have more financial responsibilities than me, ofc)
  7. I know I'm awesome and all but there's honestly really no need to make a thread just for me.
  8. Hearty Christmas to ye lads! Don't want no posts be merging now neither!
  9. bigup merry christmases going out to all my n-e e-homies, word.
  10. Why do any of you know what your presents are before christmas day?! You're ruining the fucking magic, man!
  11. I already said I'm generally reluctant to vote, but y'kno, it doesn't show much. I'm sort of mainly posting in hope that we've got discussion still going to not end the day early! I'm still trying to determine if I am in fact in the write-ups or not, but presently with christmas eve eve scotch in me it is difficult. I see no reason why I wouldn't, but also no reason why I would. Fish has made one post, Tales has(imo) made a rather rash vote with little to go on, Eenuh has said barely anything. Herojan, I'm still suspect of. Smeagol has given a very nice alibi to his jailkeep, that if it rbs/prots AND doesn't let him vote for himself then I will certainly remove my vote, until then he's still my top suspect. The others I had in mind were(in no particular order) ReZ, Tales, harojan...and maybe someone else but I'm not sure now. I'll check later, hoping there'll still be activity by morning(out now, not back til late, work at like 1 tomorrow avo but should be cool to get on there if it isn't busy and the crazies ain't too crazi). I do think maybe inactives are a view to look at tho, I see no reason for activity elsewhere and not here, and it's the perfect mafia defense, often.
  12. Very interested, sign me up pending start date/my activity around then.
  13. Ahh, fair enough. I say we poke 'im with our swords! Yarrrrrrr! *pokes*
  14. Fuck off are they! How can they! What exactly are they selling, the trees, lands, what? Either way...fuck off! I love my trees
  15. , what does this mean for the scurvy bastad?!
  16. I'm an idiot, a few googles turned up little but I didn't even consider official forums(strangely my googles didn't turn them up either!), gotten into a bad habit of defaulting to here. Thanks. I hasn't time/access to try it now, but I'll give what you said a go R_A and see if it works, ty
  17. Ok I kinda gave up on the last few posts because they're so long, but I do in some respects agree/understand what Oxigen is saying; emotional decision making vs logical decision making. I won't get hung up on it though, I don't expect people to be impartial but would like if they were, sometimes it's such a close contest you can't manage to be. Tbh I think the voting numbers are so large that these problems will hopefully be either negligible, or rather a true representation of what the whole general population thinks. I AM glad MM won, it was a better game than FFX imo. However, I was always thinking from the beginning it could win the whole thing for basically being a sort of OoT expansion pack. I'm finding today's decision very difficult, as whilst I DO love MM(probably more so than Brawl) and it's one of my favourite games ever, it's easy to look at it more fondly than Brawl because Brawl can feel a bit more casual, and there's also the two previous iterations in the Smash Bros series, so I think it's easy to overlook how unique their whole gamestyle is. Brawl did do one thing I never even expected it to manage, and that was to improve siginifcantly on its predecessor for me.
  18. I don't get why Herojan was defending Smeagol, especially responding to my post with something he already said before anyway. It makes me suspicious of him, when I directly address someone and somebody else feels the need to answer for them, isn't that a bit strange? His double vote seems strange too, he gave quite a believable reason quite quick off the bat, though. Either a quick cover, or the truth, I can't really say. The quick vote on and off for Smeagol helps back up his double vote as truth, and also made it look like they possibly weren't working together, when in fact they might be. Smeagol's lack of protecting Ell and his reasoning irks me though. I'm ususally reluctant to vote too quickly in mafias recently, but in this case Vote:Smeagol. I do happen to find it might strange ReZ isn't/hasn't been posting in the thread, however. Unlike him, isn't it? Am I right in counting 7 pirates in the writeup, out of 12 present and alive crew?
  19. Whilst FFX was nice and all, also my only FF I've properly played, it was ever so...linear. Iirc until you got the airship you couldn't really trek back too far/much, either? MM was incredibly UN-so! Polar opposite in that respect, methinks. Such an open, choice/option game, not forced to do too much, yet given the opportunity to do lots...if you wished. I don't like too much linearity in games, and is why I haven't been a fan of a lot of marios since super mario 64. Also, inb4 'lol mario is most linear you literally just go in a line'. Honestly though, whilst FFX was quite good, I think between MM and FFX, MM is just a better game in terms of what it offers.
  20. Thank you for that, Smeag-oh wait. -.-
  21. So I have eventually, I think, worked out how to add a button to my spreadsheet. However, I was kinda hoping I might be able to make it so that when I click it it simply takes me to another sheet, but I cannot figure out how to do it. My workbook has like...a lot of sheets, having to go to this specific sheet is going to be annoying, and I was kinda hoping to just have me a click-able button for it. I swear I used to be able to do this in Excel, but I can't figure out how to in OpenOffice! Can anyone out there help me?
  22. Seeing as it's been hinted but not addressed, why didn't you target Ell last night Smeagol? Who did you target instead, and why them over Ell? I know the obvious response is 'didn't want to roleblock our infoman' but as I said one nights roleblocking is minor over a protecting that could have saved him, not to mention Dohnut already pointed out he would protect himself(i think? might be wrong) so why not go for Ell? I'd also ask which character you think you are, but that's not all too important to me right now, it's just if you want to offer it. (also lol inb4 omg rum's mafia cos he asked too many questions)
  23. It was, and is. I'd forgot about it til you mentioned it here, but it truly was piece of british awesome, my sister had all the dvds so I seen it through a few times. I think one of my(as if there could even be) favourite episodes was captain subtext and the cushions. Pots and kettles, ReZ! Also, I guess it's ridding its wave and rather than being particularly british, it's just particularly random(is it even a sitcom?) but I'm suprised Mighty Boosh hasn't been mentioned given it was the hottest shit out there for a good part of the decade. IT Crowd I wouldn't say is LCD, but I think it's quite geek in places, guess I like it because I get it in places I know people who don't. I think my two biggest recommendations would be Spaced and Coupling. I'm sure there's something obvious I've forgotten, so I shall have a think...and maybe a look through my sister's dvd collection.
  24. Both my parents are from a humongous family too, but I've never considered if we're expected to have kids. If anything it takes some of the burden off of us cos the family's going to exist one way or another anyway! That does lead me onto my question I wanted to ask though, what was the family situation with your cousin's husband?
  25. I had only read the first half of his post when I read this :p When I think of a burial, rotting giving back to the earth etc, I don't mind so much the idea of it, but then I think cremation's just a bit easier and cheaper.
