Nah, Crysis is better than BioShock.
-
Wireless works fine for me.
-
What!? It's supposed to have a three-year warranty now.
-
And the same can said for Halo 3. EDGE admits that... It's not the first game where maps can be edited whilst playing with others either. Garry's Mod already allowed that.
-
That's it! Well, Twilight Worlds to be exact. EDIT: Actually, I think Twilight World is right. It has been seventeen or so years since I played it though!
-
I had it for the Atari 65XE, but I'm not sure if that was the game's original platform.
-
Can I have a go? Sorry if it's already been done (I've not been following the thread).
-
I really don't get it to be honest. I loved the first R&C game, and I don't mind a game being unoriginal and doing the same thing as before. So I should be loving Tools Of Destruction. But I'm not.
-
It's funny you should say that, because I'm playing through it at the moment, and that's exactly the way I feel about the game.
-
The first COD game (by Infinity Ward) was great.
-
COD4, then MP3: Corruption. I've not played Mass Effect.

According to IGN the 360 version looks just like the PS2 version but displayed in a HD resolution. Even stranger is that, also according to IGN, it has framerate issues too.
-
According to IGN's review the game has some framerate issues in the larger areas and they don't like the motion controls for the grappling hook, but inspite of that (and the lower score) they say it's as good as the other versions. I'm tempted, but I've already got the PC version. I might pick this version up when it's cheap though, as I'd like to give it a go with the Wii's controls.

Kotaku.com: "Yesterday we reported on rumors swirling about regarding the possibility of a Dreamcast 2 somewhere in Sega's future, sparked by a recently updated trademark application. From there it really just became a race to see who Sega would respond to first with a statement. Sega of America PR Director Charlie Scibetta spoke to GameDaily for the win! "We're very happy being a platform agnostic company and have moved up the ranks the past three years from #11, to #9, and now stand at #6 in terms of our market share by units among third-party publishers. We like our current strategy and have no plans to change in the middle of this outstanding growth." Scibetta said he would look into why the trademark was being updated and then went back to ordering giant "We're Number 6!" foam hands for his team. Sorry Dreamcast fans. I share your disappointment. You know what we need? A Dreamcast cake."

how long have you played a game for in one sitting?

My first session with Fable lasted 8 hours, and I remember playing Eternal Darkness for some 12 hours or so, from about 10 at night right through until 10 in the morning. -
After all the negative comments made about it, I bought Killzone (really cheap) assuming it was going to be awful. It has its problems, namely framerate issues, particularly towards the end of the game. But to my surprise I quite enjoyed it.

My left hand hurt a little after my first session with Mario Galaxy. I think it was because I hadn't played any Nunchuk Wii games for a while and I had to get used to it again. I don't recall getting that pain at launch though. Perhaps I had hurt my hand doing something else and only noticed it after playing the game? The worst pain I've had from a video game controller is the guitar for Guitar Hero.

I don't miss it. Especially when it comes to shooters, I hated going back to dual analogue controls for Halo 3. That wouldn't be a problem if developers took the time to make good automatic cameras, instead of just lazily handing the job to the player to do manually. Some have - the God Of War games use an excellent automatic camera system.

Those 16 enemies have been described as the game's levels. Regardless of what you might make of that, Shadow of the Colossus does have a brilliantly epic feel, and a truly emotional conclusion.

Gamespot US fires Jeff Gerstmann over Kane & Lynch review
c0Zm1c replied to martinist's topic in Other Consoles
I suppose it comes down to how best the reviewer can break down his or her opinion of a game into detail that can be deamed genuine and reliable. The worst reviews are those that endlessly gush/slate that you come away from having learnt little about the game, other than that the reviewer liked/disliked it. -

The best reviews are those that avoid opinion, as much as is possible, and just give you the facts. In that respect I could probably write a football game review, but I still wouldn't have a clue how it compares to other football games, unless I played them as well. But to play a lot of football games I would have to be interested in playing them, and I'm afriad I'm just not. -

I think it's more likely that I wouldn't have a clue how to rate the game. -

Well it's obvious that fans who aren't objective wouldn't make very good reviewers, and shouldn't be employed to write them. The Bard doesn't give a reason, objective or otherwise, why that particular game doesn't deserve to be in that top ten, so I can't comment. Perhaps he has already in another thread? I don't care about a game's score on Game Rankings, but in the flight simulator review's case, the variety or different perspective you speak of is irrelevant to people who will be interested in the game and makes it a review that can't really be taken seriously. I have zero interest in football games (or the sport in general), would I be a good choice for a review of the next FIFA or Pro Evolution game? Of course I wouldn't. It'd be a waste of my time writing one, and a waste of other people's time reading it.
