I never saw the slip case? Grrr. I was equally angry when I saw the Resident Evil 4 slip case. Damn I want a tin!!!
-
Woooo, picked - dispatch today!!!!
-
mine is just on ordered i might have to go to ebay to get my tin
-
It's a good review, but the whole concept just does nothing for me at all. The one I'm looking forward to is the Battalion Wars sequel, I loved that game soooo much and I just wanted to play other people, so the thought of a better looking, more complete follow up with online play is something I'm trembling in anticipation for.
-
OMG! I would litterally spill blood to own that tin! Sod the Wii version, this is where it's at! I wish I'd preordered earlier

nah, monkey ball was ok, I certainly don't rate it as highly as many others. To be honest I found it a little boring. Although I did get a fair way through the Expert missions I found them to be a little frustrating and annoying. -

I see your point, it just looks a little shallow from what we've seen. Pretty, just a little shallow - actually just like the kind of women I go for. lol -

Awesome graphics, I love pretty things, it makes me want to buy them lol! But seriously, all you lazy developers should be ashamed of themselves when they see gems like this. -

Wii sells 105,000 in record-breaking launch
Zechs Merquise replied to Nintenchris's topic in Nintendo Gaming
Yeah, and if it hadn't had sold out all we would have heard were complaints that shelves were still full and it hadn't achieved it's potential. -

I have 27 games, and I intend to add a couple more to the list before I'm finsihed. I've also added my scores for each of these games. Not as many as some, but I think a pretty solid collection with most big games in there. Battalion Wars: (8.8) Crazy Taxi: (7.5) Donkey Konga: (8.4) Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance: (9.1) Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: (8.1) F-Zero GX: (9.0) Killer 7: (8.5) Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker (9.4) Legend of Zelda: Collectors Edition Metal Gear Solid The Twin Snakes: (9.2) Metroid Prime (9.7) Metroid Prime: Echoes (8.9) Resident Evil: (9.2) Resident Evil 4: (9.7) Resident Evil Zero: (8.9) Star Fox Assault: (7.8) Star Wars Rogue Leader: (9.1) Star Wars Rebel Strike: (7.9) Super Mario Kart Double Dash: (9.0) Super Mario Sunshine: (9.2) Super Monkey Ball: (7.5) TimeSplitters 2: (9.2) TimeSplitters Future Perfect (9.1) Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon (7.2) Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Lockdown (7.9) Wave Race Blue Storm: (9.0) XIII: (8.0) -
I picked this up the other day, what can I say, a real missed opportunity. I played the first level and thought WOW, this is the best thing since sliced bread, but oh how things slip from there. It's not that I dislike the on foot levels, I found the controls (when set as dual analogue) to be great. The graphics are sharp and clear as well as bursting with colour. The pace is frantic too. However compared to that first level, which is the business, it#'s just not as good. The on rails flying levels are superb and bring back memories of how great Lylat Wars was, and unfortunately the on-foot sections just don;t live up to the on-rails sections. Damn, I wish they'd re-make Lylat Wars with all new graphics and extras, but they won;t, I'll just look forward to it on the VC.

How about buying it for what it is? One of the best games on Gamecube, it's amazing. -
I find a lot of people complain about controls when all they need to do is get used to them. People whinned about the controls in Battalion wars, and I thought they were great, and thy really whinned about the controls in Starfox Assault, and I thought the dual analogue for the on foot stages was fine (although that game did leave a lot to be desired, after playing the first level I thought it was the best thing ever, by the end it was a missed opportunity).
-
I think Wii Sports has the potential to be the equivalent of Brain Training on the DS, it could be what changes people's idea of gaming
-
It should score higher, and considering the sites that did knock did so (in many cases) because they didn't feel the new controls worked as well, we should see it in the gamerankings top ten, or so I hope!

Post your favourite gamecube boxarts!
Zechs Merquise replied to Zell's topic in General Gaming Discussion
I love the Battalion Wars boxart and Fire Emblem boxart, both awesome titles with great covers. -
I think the GC game is gonna be rare title in years to come, and maybe even one that is prefered by hardcore gamers for the traditional controls. I reckon you'll see New/Sealed copies on ebay for in excess of £50 by the new year.
-
Graphics don't look that bad, but they're certainly nothing to write home about lol. I#ve never played a CoD game and this ain;t gonna change that. However I can see lack of online play being an issue to some, I don;t think anything is gonna challenge XBOXLive for the topspot when it comes to online service for consoles.
-
The only console that has a tough time ahead of it is the PS3, it's had an awful launch, is plagued by shortages, a poor launch line-up, games that don't look at good as the 360 versions and a huge price tag. It also fails to bring anything new to the table like the Wii does. Sony has been struggling of late in the home electronics market, and the Playstation has been one of the few things that has been keeping it's head above water. A messed up PS3 could cost them far more than just the lead in the console war...
-
I actually heard that it was a very successful launch down under, which is traditionally a very poor territory for Nintendo. 30,000 pre-orders is probably sold out right?
-
Is it in 3D? Is it sonic? YES, it will be bad lol
-
The problem with just walking into GAME, EBGames, HMV and the like is that they no longer have 'cube sections, so they may not stock it, most people will not doubt just get the Wii version, but this version is kinda the Wii version as well, you could just pick it up with your Wii and play it with the regular controller.
