Found out yesterday that my grandad has liver cancer. There's not much they can do and so he's probably only got a few weeks. I probably wouldn't feel too bad (he's had a good life etc) but I can't stop thinking about how my gran is feeling. They've been married for 73 years...

I saw this tonight and thought it was great. I do have a question though which I can't be arsed to spoiler from my phone; Is there any link between the Sentinels from the future and the giant robot thingy from Thor 1? They seemed very similar indeed, especially the face opening melty thing.

When I gave my end of PhD final seminar, only 5 people turned up, and only one of those was a professor (my supervisor). It ended up being a really chilled discussion about my work and really enjoyed it. Good luck!

Going to see Jon Richardson tonight, then off to Amsterdam on Saturday for a long weekend! Goooooooood stuff.

Saw this last night. Overall it was good, but I have issues with the look of Godzilla. I get that they were trying to be faithful to the original films, but in those it was a chubby guy in a rubber suit, so they ended up with a chubby godzilla. This new version looked fine from the waist up, but the lower half looked like they took it straight off Barney the big purple dinosaur. It looked ridiculous. Hopefully now he's awakened after 50 years, Gojira can start doing some cardio and slim down a bit, stop looking like a cuddly teddy bear. Otherwise I agree with everyone else. Film good. Main cast bit flat.

Has anyone seen the new Lynx bottle design? It's like sex. Spray sex. I think if i went out with Lynx on and that in my pocket, random women would start having sex with it. Not me. It.
