Pokémon Brilliant Diamond & Pokémon Shining Pearl
Dufniall posted an event in Nintendo Release Dates
Adventures in Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Pokémon Shining Pearl will take place in the Sinnoh region. Rich in nature and with towering Mount Coronet at its heart, Sinnoh is a land of many myths passed down through the ages. You’ll visit many different locations in the Sinnoh region, while striving to become the Champion of the Pokémon League. The original story has been faithfully reproduced, and the sense of scale in the originals’ towns and routes has been carefully preserved. People who played Pokémon Diamond and Pokémon Pearl can revisit familiar places and relive familiar scenes once more. For those setting out through Sinnoh for the first time, plenty of new encounters and surprises await. These remakes include easy-to-understand, player-friendly conveniences of the modern Pokémon series, plus up-close-and-personal Pokémon battle scenes. -
The two Lara Croft co-op games are coming to the Switch next year, Square Enix just announced. I wonder if that means that there is a chance that the reboot trilogy is also on the way.

Can be claimed on the Game Mania website for the Dutchies in here (like @markderoos).

Cube Tries to Play (Almost) Every Sonic Game
Dufniall replied to Cube's topic in General Gaming Discussion
Weird, this sounds a lot like a game I'm playing on the Switch at the moment, Super Kazuma Ball. Then again, Super Sonic Ball sounds much more plausible so I'm afraid I bought a knock-off or counterfeit game. I mean, why would a Yakuza character roll around in a Green Hill Zone? -
Mystery solved, good guess @Julius!

Not with the 9 wireless, but I have the wired Arctis 3. Quite happy with it, of course you lose some functions with the cheaper model (like 5.1 dolby), but I really like the build of it which is similar to the 9. The elastic headband is very comfortable and the retractable microphone is nice for when you just use it for audio.

We planted an apple tree in the garden in the beginning of the year, and I'm currently eating our full harvest (one apple). And it's delicious!

Going to throw my impressions into spoiler tags as I'll be talking about bosses and items and whatnot.

Nintendo Switch (OLED Model) - 8th October 2021
Dufniall replied to Julius's topic in Nintendo Gaming
I know my brother is in the market for one, so I'll check if he wants to take it from my hands. If not I'll try to sell it second hand. -
So the DLC is €24,99 standalone, or included in the NSO Expansion Pack which will cost €39,99 a year (how cheeky of them to drop the NSO Expansion Pack price in this!). That's pretty steep, both for the DLC as for the NSO+. Edit: Edited in euro signs. In pounds it's 22,49/34,99.

Yep, this looks like it'll draw me back into the game. Looks like plenty of new stuff to justify calling it a version 2.0 update! The paid DLC looks like a Happy Home Designer+ kind of game, pretty interesting! Curious to see what it costs.

Vote: The Greatest Smash Bros Character Reveal Trailer Of All Time
Dufniall replied to Dcubed's topic in Nintendo Gaming
I really like the one where they use a different artstyle (or the artstyle from the game they are referencing). So I really enjoy the likes of Little Mac, Palutena, Byleth and Min Min. Some epic ones all over, and my favourite one (everyone is here!) is not even in the list because no new characters were revealed, but what a bombshell that was. -

Good job bumping this thread, I almost forgot about this despite already rewatching about 2/3rd of that list. Do you need arguments why in the PM, or are we going to discuss here afterwards? -
Nintendo Switch (OLED Model) - 8th October 2021
Dufniall replied to Julius's topic in Nintendo Gaming
For those who find the OLED colours a bit too bright and saturated, there is a setting in your Switch menu under system where you can change it from vivid to standard. Makes it look a lot more natural but still bright and shiny. -
One thing that always annoys me is that if I'm looking to buy something, it pops up in advertisements. Even after having bought that product, it keeps popping up in an advertisement. There should be a "I've already bought this, get it out of my feed" button.

Unfortunately my PC has a 6th gen processor so no update for me. My work laptop is 10th gen, but knowing ITs speed it will take a while before they will roll out W11 in the company. It's too bad, I always like trying out the new OS but don't have a chance yet.

Are they all cloud versions? I thought I saw that only KHIII is a cloud version? Would love to pick up the 1.5 and 2.5 game, but not if it's in the cloud.
-
Well, that's one character that was high in the polls debunked!

No doubt it'll be a funky announcement, although it will make a lot of people cranky. I know I'm sitting ready with my big bowl of candy for the ride!

To me the Switch has been a great console so far. As I play mostly handheld (has been the case since the Game Boy), having one machine for both handheld and TV play is a godsend. I'm excited to get my hands on the OLED for the better screen as I think I will get a lot of enjoyment out of it. Plenty of highlights to talk about. Breath of the Wild obviously is one of the greatest games ever made and it is such a joy to play. But Splatoon 2 is one of my favourites. I just love the whole setting, vibe, and mechanics of the game. Another highlight has to be Astral Chain, such an impressive game. The Switch has been the machine to make me love Platinum. Never owned a WiiU, so I finally got to play Bayonetta 1 and 2, plus The Wonderful 101. Next to that there are a lot of great games available, from lovely indies such as Hollow Knight and Axiom Verge 1 and 2, to fun third parties such as Immortals Fenyx Rising and Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 1+2 Remastered. There really is something for everyone and looking back I've already played so many great games on it. It's also a lovely pinball machine. But my most favourite thing about the Switch is that it has brought back community gaming. I joined the Mario Kart League again which was amazing and fun every Thursday. Dropping in random Smash Bros. nights is always good, and recently Monster Hunter Rise has been an amazing multiplayer experience. Playing random games online with N-E and Discord people like Rocket League, or the Beat 'em up Collection. Having parties and trading sessions or just random visits in Animal Crossing. And finally the Mario Maker 2 building challenges here on N-E. It's a shame a lot of that community play has dwindled a bit now, but they have been great and I would love for it to be more active again.

I know there are at least some games that don't use cloud saves, such as Animal Crossing and Splatoon 2. I'm also not sure what is transferred in regards to play times, different profiles et cetera.
