Maybe just split it into two viewings. I still think it’s worth seeing to make up your own mind on it.

Some fucker stole the catalytic converter from my sister’s car overnight. Apparently thousands are stolen all the time and it’s not surprising that it’s still going on given that when my sister rang the police they just gave her a crime reference number for her insurance claim and said they wouldn’t be investigating it.

I ended up watching the Snyder Cut after all as it turns out it was just made available to watch on the regular Sky Cinema channel straight away so no extra charge. I can’t really decide which version I think is better. They’re both pretty terrible but in different ways. I do hope though that this is the last we see of Snyder connected to any DC movies. One thing that really stands out though in the Snyder Cut is the music. So many terrible musical choices that don’t fit moments at all. It’s impressive just how bad they are. Id say my fears of the Darkseid cgi were correct, it felt like a budget video game. Some bad green screen work throughout and while I don’t like Cyborg’s design anyway, there were still some shots that made it look even worse than before.

I preordered it when it was announced but then cancelled it when I thought I needed to save the money. Reordered it this morning so was really lucky to get the price drop.
-
Did you get it from Amazon? It dropped down to around £12 today for some reason so with Amazon’s preorder guarantee mine dropped as well so I’m really happy at the moment.

I needed more martial arts movies. It’s been too long.

Watched the first episode of Falcon & Winter Soldier earlier. Slow start but a solid one. I look forward to seeing where it goes.

Life is Strange: True Colours - Sept. 10th
Happenstance replied to Ganepark32's topic in Other Consoles
I should really catch up with Life is Strange. I loved the first game but never got around to p,aging any of the others. -
I know this already has a thread in the Nintendo section but I thought seeing as the Switch never had either Persona 5 game it might be a bit safer spoiler-wise to create another one where people may have played the previous games. I got the game today and put about an hour in. It seems pretty good so far. Definitely feels like a direct sequel to P5 which is cool, much better than other Persona spin offs I’ve played. The gameplay is what you’d expect from a Warriors style game. Not really my kind of thing so I’ve just put it on easy as I’m only here for the story and characters anyway. My only real complaint about the game at the moment is that the audio mixing is pretty bad so you can barely hear some characters talk over the music. That and they changed the confirm button from X to circle so 102 hours of recent muscle memory is driving me nuts!

Im fine with keyboard and mouse aiming still but I've never liked gyro aiming. The only time I like motion controls is with VR. If I see a regular game has motion controls then I'm actively put off from playing it.

Trophies never really clicked with me. I don't have any platinums. Xbox Live points were fun for a while on the 360, doing things like renting King Kong or Avatar to get as many as I could but I lost interest in that way before the Xbox One came along as well.

I was gonna wait and decide what to play next but I'm still buzzing from finishing Persona 5 Royal and wanted to carry on with the story!
-
Persona 5 Royal Took me 102 hours over pretty much a whole year but I finally completed it just now. Another solid Persona game overall. Maybe didn’t have the intrigue or Persona 4’s story or the best group of characters but still really enjoyable. I ended up maxing out all my stats but I think I had 6 social links that I didn’t manage to finish (one apparently I just forgot to start!). The new Royal content actually seemed a bit disappointing for quite a while, not bad but a bit lacklustre but you hit a certain point in the game where you realise it was just a slow burn and it became some of my favourite stuff so I’m glad this is the version I completed. I just need to decide now what game to play next. It’s very tempting to just move straight onto Persona 5 Strikers as I’d love to carry on the story but to avoid burnout I might play something else for a bit. I’m thinking maybe it’s time to retry Red Dead 2 as I gave up on that relatively early at launch because I wasn’t enjoying it or maybe replay an Ace Attorney game as it’s been a while and I do love those games.

I think while filming Justice League Ben Affleck was at his lowest point so it wouldn’t surprise me if he didn’t know what he was saying half the time or just didn’t care.
-
New trailer. Darkseid still looks terrible to me.
-
Such a shame as the trailer made it look amazing. I heard it completely wastes the 80s setting?
-
Definitely starting to feel a bit burnt out on P5R. I’ve maxed out all my stats along with the majority of the social links so it’s starting to feel like I’m just going through the motions. Had this with Persona 4 as well but I found the main story a lot more engaging in that one so it was easy to push forward.

Are you sure? Everything I’m seeing says the 18th? Either way though I’m not paying to see it. I’m curious just to see what it is but personally I’m just expecting a different kind of mess to Joss Whedon’s version, nothing better. It’s still Zack Snyder after all. When it comes on Sky’s regular movie channels I’ll give it a watch.

Microsoft also acquired the Men in Black a few years ago and have been flashything....ing people whenever something goes wrong. It’s why only a few of us remember the Crackdown 3 or ReCore debacles.
-
I think MS just aren’t going in a direction that’s for me. Their exclusives haven’t wowed me in years but I keep an eye on them for anything I might like but gamepass never works for me. I’ve said before but with so many games available at once and none that I’ve specifically paid for I just find it hard to stick with and bounce around too much between titles. It’s the kind of service I would like to see for retro games but current ones I’ll just stick to buying outright.
-
Microsoft aren't really a company I would trust to do that either.
-
Bethesda have just fallen so far in the last few years that I can’t bring myself to care about not being able to play their games anymore on a Sony console. It’s a shame as I have fond memories of the time spent on some of their older games but they just aren’t the same company anymore.

Yep, if you ever want to vent and get things off your chest then we’ll always be here to listen.
