Happenstance

Need to decide what to do about my job. At the moment I'm working in the rough area I want to be in where I manage social media stuff and can do some graphic designing but it's a temp contract that just gets extended. They want it to go permanent and have requested it but can't get a definite yes that it'll happen. On the other hand a job has come up in the Digital Content Team that's a permanent position in more of a support role and they've worked with me before and suggested I apply. I could easily do the job but it's less money and moving away from the design stuff I enjoy.

Ended up resubbing to gamepass to play this and I'm glad I did that instead of buying it. I've just completed Phantom Menace and don't think I'll bother carrying on. The game looks great but that's about all it has going for it. The gameplay is so boring that I'm just racing through from cutscene to cutscene and I'm not enjoying the Lego charm the same way I used to.

To be honest it never really bothered me as I'm not a person who goes deep enough into combat to start cancelling animations etc and for those that do, it was available.

One thing to mention on the combat is I'm assuming being locked into animations is intentional as one of the upgrades for the double light sabers is to be able to cancel out of an animation at any time using block.

Well that's Jedi Survivor completed. Very good game (if a bit buggy 😄) and an enjoyable story. I ended up finding the raider enemies a bit bland and lacking in character but the main characters and antagonists were good.

Another crash, same level but this time I at least manage to get to a save point. Still gonna have to redo some enemy waves though. Think that'll be it for now for me until the next patch hits.

First crash for me just now. Right after a very long platforming section with no opportunity to save 🤬

Definitely seeing more framerate issues now I'm hitting more open areas.

I've finished the first big section and never really noticed any so hopefully will be the same on PS5. Thought the opening was good but definitely not as strong as Jedi Fallen Order's.

Which format did you buy? I read that the PC version had quite a few performance issues. Xbox Series X

Started playing this morning. Sticking with performance mode I think and so far no issues to speak of which is a good start!

Ok the reviews are starting to convince me to get it at launch. Just need to figure out now which is the least buggy version 😆

Well I got the Bo-Katan one. Doesn't quite fit on the shelf with the range finder up so I'll have to figure out somewhere else to display it if I want that up (which I do). Good news is though that the Mandalorian helmet is shorter so that one will definitely fit and that's the one I want to work on weathering and adding some extra detail to. Might order that in a week once I've been paid. Looks great though

With the High Republic omnibus having been announced I figured I should finally give this era a try before I have to (and I do have to 😆) get it to go with all my other omnibus' so I just bought the first High Republic book, Light of the Jedi to read.

Gonna have to watch that final episodes few times I think but my initial thoughts are that I loved it! Missing a few things I was hoping to see but you can't have it all and it has just been so nice seeing this crew back together.
