@Cube have any of your Star Trek models been built yourself or have they all come prebuilt? I'm so tempted to get one of Polar Lights Enterprise models but I dont believe for a second that I have the skill necessary to do it justice and for the price its not really something I want to risk.

I've stopped buying them now. I really don't like how they have started pulling audio directly from the movies. It never sounds right.

I think a Pokemon RPG where all the actual Pokemon stuff is almost the backdrop would be kind of cool. You'd be in the world and doing all your usual RPG stuff and occasionally you'd keep seeing this kid who's mother has just thrown him out into the world while she has affair after affair. Your stories and travels would mirror each others so at the end while you fight the evil and save the world, the kid beats the elite four and gets all the fame, fortune and women while you come home with half your ear missing, a gammy leg and an unpaid mortgage.

From my very limited knowledge of MMO launches I think it is fixable buy getting more servers but the problem comes later when everything calms down and you have all these extra servers you spent money on which you no longer need. Of course it could be different for Pokemon Go and they will actually need all these extra servers but unfortunately you just dont know.

Well, I said no to this new job. Bursar has now come back saying I'm the only one in the school suited towards it so I've got 3 options. Take the Development/Marketing job, reduce my hours and stay on as just Development assistant or start looking for a new job. With where I live still its really hard to find work I can get to easily and I cant afford to cut back my hours so I'm basically being forced into this new job. I'm completely pissed off with the school and the way this has all been handled. I spent hours last night going back and forth on what to do. It makes the most sense to just accept the job and then keep looking for something elsewhere but my problem is that everytime I decide that, I get so angry on what they are doing that I change my mind again. I dont think I'm actually going to know what I'll choose until I see the Bursar in person later and whatever I blurt out will be my choice.

Are you sure it wasnt a refurbished unit for £229 at Simply Games? They still have those at that price.

Finished watching Log Horizon last night. Overall I thought it was pretty good but for me it had some pacing issues, mainly the split between the action and other aspects of the show like normal life or political stuff. I always enjoy the premise of people being stuck inside an MMO (thats why I like SAO) but it was oddly secondary in this. There were still a lot of MMO tropes in it but I think it was the fact that everyone just seemed to accept their situation almost immediately that it took a lot of the impact away. Still though, it was an enjoyable show with some good characters and despite it leaning a bit too much on the political aspect for me, the situation they find themselves in the world was an interesting one. I'm looking forward to season 2. Onto Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion next.

I knew GOG.com had started adding a few old Star Trek games but I hadnt realised Star Trek: Starfleet Command was one of them. I used to love that game when I was younger so I just bought it. It'll be interesting to see how well it holds up.
