Happenstance

Counting this as retro as the Switch is out now (and I mostly just post here anyway). Was in the mood to play Pokémon again the other day so bought myself a cheap 2DS XL and Pokémon Moon. Don't think I've completed a Pokémon game since the original Sapphire release so we'll see how this one goes. Already 7 hours in so it's at least working out as a good podcast game for me.

I tend to preorder consoles from Amazon as I haven’t had a problem yet but this will make me switch to another site. Preordered games I always get from Simply or Games Collection so I’m ok there. Only preorder I have with Amazon at the moment is the Mega Drive Mini and that was just in case I wanted it closer to launch. Won’t be able to do that kind of thing anymore (which I assume is one of the reasons they’ve implemented this).

You’ll be happy to know that I just checked my copy of Power Rangers The Movie and the label is firmly stuck down.

The people on Era were only talking about gaming stuff but I would expect everything. As far as I know though it doesn’t apply to pre-existing preorders.

Looks like Amazon have changed their preorder policy according to people on Era who have been talking to customer services. If something is coming out within 5 days then you will be charged immediately, if not you will be charged 5 days after you place the order regardless of when it comes out. Looks like I won’t be using them anymore for big preorders.

I hope in the next trailer he is taller and even more awkward looking

I think it'll be the first PPV I've actually bought properly. Back in the day it was always free on Sky then after the WWE Network started I just used that. Will have to see how ITV Boxoffice is.

Just finished watching The Garden of Words after seeing a gif posted from it on Era. Such a gorgeously animated movie. I tend to watch more anime series because I love the longer stories and because of that I forget just how amazing anime can look with the higher budgets.

I sold my 3DS a few years ago but I’m in the mood to play a Pokemon game at the moment so thought I might grab myself a cheap 2DS XL. Got a couple of questions as it’s been a while. Do they come with an SD card? If not then what size is worth buying? I don’t plan on getting a lot but it’d be nice to maybe get some older games on sale that I might want to replay. Are digital purchases now tied to my account? I thought I remembered something about it happening ages ago but wasn’t sure if I’d just be able to download my old games again. It's still on CBS All Access in the US though. There was never any guarantee that all their Trek shows would stay on the same service outside of America.
