Happenstance

Well that didn’t last long. I think their smart panel view is better than the last time I used it but I just don’t like the service as well. I like the simplicity of just being able to know what I’m looking for and buy specific books from Comixology. Finding specific stories or just simply reading a book from the beginning one after the other just seems like too much hassle. It’ll probably cost me more but I’d rather just carry on buying the books from Comixology I think. It’s a shame their subscription service is US only. I’d definitely sign up for that.

Thinking about getting the Marvel Unlimited subscription again. I've dropped nearly all DC books now and only really buy stuff from Comixology so could probably save money this way. It's a shame it's 6 months behind but I do like to read a lot of back issues of stuff so it shouldn't be too much of an issue.

When you think about it that really was a great gen. Getting past the awkward first gen of 3D we got some amazing games that are still replayable.

Then why didn’t you buy me Batman & Robin?

He was moaning yesterday that he had to reply to all the people who took the time to wish him a happy birthday. Fuck that guy.

Well I very nearly bought a copy of Adventures of Batman & Robin today at the video game market but I couldn't bring myself to pay the £95 just yet. They did have a copy of X-Men 2 for £58 which is good but the case looked a bit too much like a repro so I didn't trust it enough. Only game I bought was Ahhh Real Monsters. Not on my expensive list but it was a good deal at £6 and part of the list of games I had as a kid that I eventually want back. One guy did pay £230 though for the 90s animated series Spider-Man game which I'm sure is way too much. Some really good stalls there though. I'd probably go to another one of theirs. I'll leave @Goafer to say how he did.

@Goafer When you are cropping do you tend to try and do it to specific ratios or to just what looks good?

Most Windows laptops do these days. They were delicious but my tongue is all multicoloured now.

I haven't got around to watching it yet but I'm planning to.

My monitor died recently and as I have been running out of space I decided to get a new laptop instead of continuing to use my desktop PC. Was gonna get a gaming one but I opted for a high spec ultrabook (Huawei Matebook X Pro) that I could travel with as well if necessary. Been testing it this weekend and its really nice. Played FFXIV and Yakuza Zero on it and they both run really well. Only issue being how hot it gets during gaming but that's to be expected with an ultrabook.

Just watching the Breath of the Wild run. Always an interesting one to watch with all the tricks and glitches.

Got a fiver from Games Collection for Judgment arriving late. Started it yesterday and I’m enjoying it so far. I’m hoping there will be a few cameos from from Yakuza characters but we’ll see. I’m already missing Kiryu a bit though.

To be fair, Waypoint is basically on the constant verge of being shutdown.

Well my copy didn’t arrive after all. Sounds like others had problems with their Game Collection orders as well.

Toffee and Tribble still coming along well.

I just wanted to wait and see if they have it at the gaming market. Kind of wanted to get any games there to make it worth going lol. I ended up spending too much money on Japanese drinks and sweets at the Japan Centre anyway so money well spent

Made my list of MD games to keep an eye out for at next week's retro gaming market. Alien Soldier Ranger-X Adventures of Batman & Robin Castlevania New Generation Alisia Dragoon X-Men 2: Clones Wars They did have two copies of X-Men 2 in the same CEX that Goafer saw Shining Force III but I didn't end up getting it there.

My copy should arrive today. Looking forward to getting stuck into it tonight.

Just a warning for you guys. Try not to mention Shining Force III in this thread for a while. @Goafer and I saw it in CEX in London this weekend and he hasn’t stopped moaning since about not being able to get it.
