    Fallout 3

Either Fallout 1 or 2 doesn't have a demo while the other one does. I never played Brotherhood of Steel, but I heard it's a poorly done spin-off. Fallout Tactics is a spin-off but it's quite fun imo.

Sooo.....just wondering, how many here have played the originals? @Solo, about your sig......have you noticed some staff members far excede the rules yet.....no repurcussions... oh well lucky them.

    28th here I believe. :p
  4. Oh dear....Brad Pitt is a moron, a good actor but a moron he is part of why I will never finish Troy or start it again.
  5. I think it's accurate......I haven't looked since I joined like 2 years ago, I think I have less that 100 post too. Id o occasionally abuse my profile, on a different forum I switch myself to an Asian Swinger(default for adbots). EDIT, I almost said less than 50 post but decided on 100 just to be safe, welll I just checked and this is my 51st post.
  6. Avatar:.....idk what it is but it's pleasing to the eye 7/10 Sig Same as Avatar. Cake I don't know what Haribo is, but if it's inside a normal chocolate cake 9/10 May cake shall be Carrot Cake.
  7. Wow that first pic looks like it could pass for Lego Batman. American McGee's Alice is a disturbing take on the classic story. Clive Barkers........Undying (Ha you were afraid I'd say Jericho). Blade of Darkness(chop off an arm pick it up to beat it's owner to death......nice uh? You can also throw decapitated heads )

Well more interesting has nothing to do with realism in the graphics and more abour preference(ala Killer 7 or a 2D title) The character models are debatable, but I don't really have a preference to debate sooo, sure they're better.

yea.... the graphics may not be crysis, but they are above Wii caliber. Basically.....The easiest synopsis would be Oblivion with guns set in a post apocalyptic Washington DC. The originals however are some of the best RPGs ever made, and most definantly not Oblivion with guns. More or less what you can expect is a questing system similar to Oblivion, with fewer characters (allowing for more detailed NPCs as opposed to ESIVs very generic chars.) They have also worked in multiple endings, I believe they originally decided on 13-14 endings but iirc that number is much higher now. Karma is town to town based as opposed to everyone across the game hating you for a crime not affecting them.
  10. My bad, I searched Taken, and something different by the same name popped up and Neeson wasn't in it.

Do want, I pre-ordered the limited edition as soon as it was announced. Unfortunatly, I missed out on the Survival Edition with the pipboy clock. I'm a Fallout fanboy, I've played all of them except the janky Console one that was on Xbox and PS2.
  12. If by Qui-Gon you mean from Star Wars, which is Liam Neeson......I don't believe he is in Taken.
  13. No your thinking of FEAR, STALKER doesn't have a demo(or even females in the game:confused: ) and is PC only. Ages ago when it first went into development it was Oblivion Lost (like the book). It's something of a free-roaming FPS with some light RPG elements. It has been compared to Deus Ex and System Shock. http://stalker.filefront.com/news/All_The_Screenshots_You_Could_Ever_Hope_For;14012 That's a mod site, but they have some very nice user submitted photos that show of the game. You can find decent videos in the usuall places. Word of advice though, patch the game, they are so buggy pre-patch. Also the games run on a widerange of hardware(my friends laptop with an Intel IGP and Pentium Dual Core......aka holy crappy setup.), but they are hard on the hardware if you try to go to high settings. I'd also suggest the first game before the second, it's cheaper and has more patches to help playability.
  14. Ollie, if you want atmosphere check out STALKER and the System Shock games. They drip with atmosphere. Also really you found Shadowman to be better on 64 than DC? (Everyone knows it's better than PS1 version....) Also oddly enough I was about to post Shadowman since no else had when lo and behold there you were. Anywho... 7th Guest creepy point and click adventure in a haunted house. Diablo series fits with halloween. Dead Rising (come on zombies and you can dress up) That's all I can think of at the moment.
  15. The only people I know that have seen Donnie Darko didn't catch the humor in it, so I didn't know that the humor was so important. Eh whatever, were not really getting anywhere.
  16. Is Donnie Darko a comedy? Hells no, but I found parts of it absolutly hilarious. Is that nicholson from "One Flew Over the Cuckoos Nest" in your avatar?
  17. They are funny, but they were more meant to be serious then funny, watch some special features. It's like a Horror movie that has comic relief, they just have more comic relief than normal. Most just see them as comedies though.
  18. Hey now.....Simon Pegg's only true comedy so far has been Run Fatboy Run, other movies that may be funny aren't meant to be true comedies.
  19. 28 Days Later. A superb......infection (they aint zombies) movie. Spot on actors (especially Cillian Murphy and Christopher Ecelston). The movie shows a empty London, and nothing quite inspires dispare and loneliness like a bustling city devoid of life(I Am Legend did this too.....but not as well). The ending is the best part of the movie in my opinion. Jim more or less snaps and becomes like the infected himself working on pure adrenaline, killing soliders, knowing where the infected are before we can even hear them. The music was also very well done, lighthearted when it was appropriate and chilling at other times. In the aforementioned ending scene there is a piece of music that starts quiet and slow and builds up to the moment Serena and Jim meet in the house, where is just cuts out. They use that piece to such great effect in this movie, while they tryed to do the same in the sequel.....but it just felt forced and overdone. I give it a 9.5/10
  20. Never said what part exactly? I never said anyone always had the right way, but something more like even if you have the right away, yield to avoid collisions and possible injury. A pedestrian may have the right away, but if they're trying to cross a busy road, they should wait for the correct oppurtunity to cross instead of exercising their right away, and possibly causing traffic collisions, hence the tombstone comment "I had the right away" meaning they(anyone pedestrain or car) tryed to cross at their right way and someone else did the same and they didn't survive. This is why proper discretion is needed on everyones part. Between life and the right way.....choose life. Between the right away and letting someone else go out of politeness, choose either.
  21. Diablo II. Nuff said.
  22. Holy shite, I just......Oh God there are so many things......I just need to comment on.......Gah. Born perfect, no sun, were all sinners........my head hurts and he his a prime example of whats wrong with the internet.
  23. Wow......I didn't notice that youtube button at first and I was trying all kinds of things to get my swf tags to embed the videos.....I'm still not sure I did it right with the youtube tags though. edit: hmmmm semms not, oh well. It was just Closer and The Hand that Feeds by NIN.
  24. You win one internet for quoting Dave Lister.
