I really doubt the Wii will see Resident Evil 5, unless it's a totally redone version with the same name.

This is Real - Wii Price & Date - Nov 19th US & $250 USD
Kazzahdrane replied to NintendoDS's topic in Nintendo Gaming
....from where? Since supposedly it's launching first in the USA in November....where are you planning to import from before that? -
I'll be at work all day Friday...in a GAMES STORE. It'll be hell

I think the Eurogamer staff are going to be at the European event, not sure if they'll be doing live updates for a 6 hour show though. Mind you, I suspect it'll be a couple of hours presentation then with 4 hours of letting the journalists play stuff.

Stranger, stranger....now that's a weapon. Takes on a whole new meaning when he's flashing people...

Zelda: Twilight Princess Discussion (SPOILERS: BEWARE)
Kazzahdrane replied to EchoDesiato's topic in Nintendo Gaming
Indeed, Majora's Mask is an example of a truly "Mature" game - i.e. one with mature themes rather than boobies and guns. Not that these two things can't feature in a mature game, but they certainly don't make one. -
I'll get mine earlier and cheaper than most people anyway, but then I'm a cruel bastard like that.

Waste of stars if you can just preorder one in a store.

The last stretch - Wii launch betting!
Kazzahdrane replied to demonmike04's topic in Nintendo Gaming
What colour will the controllers be??? Sheesh dude you are uselessly vague! -
Indeed, nice to see someone else actually understands Summer Time :p
-
That's my only worry - that Nintendo could look at Sony's delay and think "well now we can take a few months longer too". Doubt it though.

If these games are nice and cheap I can see myself buying Golden Axe even though I do own the Megadrive cartrige somewhere, especially if the two-player mode is intact

Zelda: Twilight Princess Discussion (SPOILERS: BEWARE)
Kazzahdrane replied to EchoDesiato's topic in Nintendo Gaming
The players Nintendo are aiming at aren't the shallow ones who need to see an 18 BBFC certificate to even consider a game, so I think they'll be alright. -
That's certainly something Nintendo have shown they can do with the DS. It still sells very well long after launch.

Ok these new "proper" shots look sweeeeeet!

Wow, lots of people here up on their high horses. Casual Gamer: Someone who plays games occasionally just for something to do with a group of friends or to relax. Just the sort of people things like Brain Training and Nintendogs are aimed at (not that everyone can't enjoy these games). "Hardcore" Gamer: Someone who spends a significant amount of their free time playing games, and will often be looking forward to a game some time before it is released. They also walk into games stores usually knowing what they want to buy, rather than to browse. The industry needs both types to survive. Hardcore gamers are great for spreading news about games to their friends and family, and can often be counted on for some guaranteed sales. However, casual gamers is where the real money is made - which is why games like Nintendogs and Brain Training which are aimed at people who don't know much about games sell well, as opposed to say MS Flight Simulator games which are only advertised to people who are already likely to buy them.

Plenty of people, obviously. However, I won't believe this until it's confirmed by Nintendo themselves.

Zelda: Twilight Princess Discussion (SPOILERS: BEWARE)
Kazzahdrane replied to EchoDesiato's topic in Nintendo Gaming
Forgive me, but...que? I said it needs to lose the label, and you pointed out where it was.. -
Ah sorry my mistake, the bit in bold was from the NoE interview but then your post said that already :P Do I get my pride back if I said I just finished Zelda: OoT?

Zelda: Twilight Princess Discussion (SPOILERS: BEWARE)
Kazzahdrane replied to EchoDesiato's topic in Nintendo Gaming
Just needs to lose the "Only For" label in the corner Lovely artwork though, would love just the image (sans logo etc) on a big poster. -
Actually they were quoting the interview on Nintendo's site. Ha!
-
The mentioning of the DRM and the context it's used in suggests that you won't have an online profile for Wii, rather your console itself will have one. This sucks a bit if you can't take VC games to friends houses and sign in to your profile and play them but I guess they want to try to stop piracy.
-
Excuse me???? Gamestation aren't taking pre-orders yet (release date isn't known) but that doesn't mean they won't be. You'll be able to get your Wii pre-ordered there once they start taking them.
-
I'm not a big fan of "Only For/On" stamps on game boxes but it is a good way of letting the general public know that this new game that their friends/children are talking about it only available on one console.

At work we have codes on the system for the Wii console, the Wii-mote, and a rechargable battery pack. They've been on there for months though, and I believe have no price attached
