For those who have Wii Fit, I have a question...
welsh_gamer replied to Beast's topic in Nintendo Gaming
Earlier in the year, I spent up to 2 hours on it daily for around 2 months, while I was unemployed doing some aerobic exercise's (walking on the spot for the most part) and a small amount of muscle exercise's (jack knife, press-ups etc) and lost a fair bit of weight. Unfortunately, I've put it back on since I've been back in work! -
£29.99 for the Collector's Edition at Play.com today only.

£13.99 at Sainsbury's Entertainment Possibly the same price instore from Friday too...

Same! If I recall correctly, DKCR was only listed at £29.99 on their site for a few days around E3 time, so I'm guessing only a few of us ordered at that price, so they've sent the e-mail and £5 voucher code to all customers who pre-ordered, instead of just the one's who pre-ordered when it was £37-£39.99. Lucky us, but shame we have to use the voucher by the 14th of December!

Just got home from work and waiting for me in the kitchen was a Wii copy of Black Ops from GAME. Just doing the system update now while having a quick snack, then I'm gonna jump into online mode (if I can) and play a bit of the campaign if I have time. Will post some thoughts later. Good thing I finished Goldeneye last night! First thing first, the game looks fine. Not as detailed as Modern Warfare Reflex perhaps, but better than some other titles. You'll probably wish that the graphics are better during the Campaign, but the majority of us Wii COD fans will be spending our time online where the graphics are perfectly acceptable IMO. Very impressed with the online multiplayer, especially Zombie mode which is allready proving addictive. There's a whole heap of modes and options to mess around with. Can't wait to get into this properly and unlock Tactical matches - only been able to play TDM so far. Matches run very smoothly and the maps seem to be bigger than the one's in previous games. Not heard anyone on voice chat yet, but I can confirm that Wii Speak doesn't work so looks like those of us who haven't ordered the exclusive headset will have to head over to the Games Basement. I havent even spent 2 hours with this game yet, but I can safely say it's going to be the best online shooter on the Wii hands down.

Just found these instructions on the Gamespot forums, on how to get World at War/Modern Warfare Wii style controls on this game. Ideal if you want the best set-up without messing about for over 30 minutes in the options. Just had a quick go with this set-up and I think I've found my match Thanks to 'TQ_NintyNoE' at the Gamespot forums.

Got my copy yesterday. The single player campaign is fantastic and has the same 'wow' factor COD4 had back in 2007 IMO. It looks good, music and voice acting are top notch, the AI works well and the gameplay is just brilliant. Getting a streak of headshots with your silenced pistol or sniper rifle is very satisfying, as is being able to do parts of your mission in stealth mode. The only thing that annoys me really is that the tougher guards sound robotic like the one's in Wolfenstein when they speak. Wasn't too keen on the default controls during the training level, but halfway through the first level I adapted to them pretty well. Haven't messed around with the control settings yet, but I'm hoping someone somewhere will post details on how to make the controls match the one's on Modern Warafe Reflex. Also, I think this is the first time since Resident Evil 4 where I've gone back to replay the first few chapters before carrying one with the game, because they were that good. Goldeneye is back! The online multiplayer is good, but hasn't blown me away yet. It's sitting there inbetween The Conduit and Modern Warfare Reflex at the moment, but to be fair I've only spent 90 minutes in this mode, and had no idea what I was doing in one of the Team Tactical matches for 20 minutes or so Hopefully there will be a few multiplayer sessions to be had with some N-E members this weekend!

I had trouble finding it too, but after several looks noticed a tiny link hidden near the top of the Club Nintendo homepage, titled 'Professor Layton and the Lost Future' (no image or fancy font), clicked it, and was taken to the page where I could claim my free box.

Holy Batman! £13.99 allready at Gameplay

Has anyone seen this headset available to pre-order from any website here in the UK or even the USA yet? Two and a half weeks to go and I want get my my pre-order in, dammit! Also, after doing some reading, it would seem the reason behind not being shown any Wii/PS3 screenshots or trailers of Black Ops is because Microsoft have an exclusive deal with Activision where only 360 images and footage can be shown to the general public before the game's release.

Got mine from GAME today along with the cube. Can't wait to begin it later!

I got the standard DVD from HMV on Friday. The film was much better than I had anticipated and had some truly epic Layton & Luke moments. Defintley the best film based on a video game I've seen, and I hope they'll keep to their word and release one animated film per year Was the book worth the extra £15 or so and is it really approx 700 pages? Care to share a few pics from the inside of it?

Anyone know if Flingsmash will be sold on it's own?

Incase someone's intrested, if you order The Lost Future from Play.com, you can get the Professor Layton And The Eternal Diva: Deluxe Collector's Edition (With Book) 2 DVD & Blu-ray for £25.99 instead of £35.49. Link

Finally got round to ordering the Zelda manga after a conversation about the games in work the other day inspired me. Got the Lotso plush from Tesco. Want to display him in the back of my car but I can't find a 'secure' place for him to live I've also ordered this. If one stage is as good as any in Rhythm Heaven I'll be happy with this cheap game.
