I might decide to set IE to my default in hopes of seeing this popup. However this whole fiasco will do nothing for Opera's market share, and will only prove that they have done a good job of wasting time. Also you forgot to mention it will be randomized. But I think so many people are used to IE that they will probably stick with what they know.

In the end got my elite with lego batman (was part of the bundle ) Pure, Left for dead 2 dragon age (I've heard good things) And mirror's edge on the cheap. Can't anyone recommend any decent split screen multiplayer games worth picking?

Well I would says that the 1300 and the 1200 are near enough the same spec. Personally I would go for the 1300 as it will make better use of that memory. And although it doesn't have a graphics option as good as the 1200, unless your mum became a gamer over night, it doesn't really matter. Like for like the 1300 (obviously higher number and all) is the better of the two. If you can stretch to the 2030sa then go for it but I wouldn't bother.

Need a lil help deciding something. Since borderlands is out of stock at Amazon and I need another game to sort out my bundle. Halo ODST ( I've only played halo 1 for about 30 seconds total. Will this make relative sense to me?) Or left for dead 2. Played the demo on pc. Was s'ok.

I believe the winfox add on. If you can find it gets firefox to work like IE8 does. But the main website for it was down the last time I looked. Edit: take it back looks like its up again: http://blog.compugeeksoftware.com/blog/software/winfox-ndash-firefox-and-windows-7/ I just gave it a shot. Seems a bit buggy for me on FF 3.5 with the winfox encountering problems.

Yes you bet your ass its another laptop thread

Personally I felt that the only show stopper on that Asus was the GPU. Nothing else really stood out for me. Blah blah blah *** Stopped there. I'll concede on the fact that you've got a sweeter price point. And if you really wanted more room you could get and external HDD and probably still stay under £400. -

Well I still stand by Cnet's recommendation for the laptop to buy this Christmas. Only thing is its slightly out of your price range. But has and excellent price to performance ratio. MSI CX600 £486. If you can spare the cash I would give it a shot. Windows 7 4 gig of ram (3.03 gig effectively) 2.2Ghz processor 500GB HDD 16 inch screen. But I'll shop around my usual sources and see if there is anything decent within your price range. -

Well taking a second look I think I might have used the word pro out of context as I can't see it specifically referenced anywhere, but here is the tech spec sheet from google. I believe the model is MB881B so it would make it just a regular macbook? Although I wouldn't know what would make it qualify to be a pro. But would be able to upgrade to snow leopard. Also this was a refurb. -

Screen size? Personally I would tough it out until January. But I would say keep looking at http://www.boffer.co.uk/. Yesterday they had a mac book pro for £399. Today they had a netbook for £139. Also probably check out Hotukdeals. -
Rage Against The Machine Xmas No. 1 2009
Ten10 replied to or else you will DIE's topic in General Chit Chat
I still think the teletubbies should have got the Christmas no 1 all those years ago. Damn Spice girls took what was rightfully theirs. As for this year, not too bothered since X factor isn't a singing competition, and it hasn't been that way for the past few rounds. I don't even see why they need judges because its always gone the way of who is the most popular. Blokes will vote for the biggest knockers, Ladies will vote for the cutesy face kid. -
Yeah Ejay is probably the only thing Stuwii could probably use. The next level would be something like sony acid studio. There might also be something in the open source community.

Might just skip this one and wait to say my Graces. (Poorly constructed sentence but you get the idea)

Well I went out with it last night in the rain since I really wanted to test it out. Have to admit I did a lot more running than I usually do and for a longer period of time, but that could be a psychological result also. I only stop twice. Once was to clear the phlegm out of my lungs and second was to let a car pass. I've got tracks like the F-zero sound track, Super Euro beat and clubland on my MP3 player, but I think in terms of running audio fuel might do it for me. Just down to the constant rhythm through out, it help better to moderate the pace. I'm gonna take the fall and buy the 40 min coaching version of it so I'll have a follow up review soon. You can also get compilations that don't have the voice over. And also buy stand alone tracks. But will come back with a review on how I did with the coaching version.

Don't tell us how many days to go. I still haven't started any Christmas shopping. Ritually I tend to do it on the 24th.

Yeah so for anyone who does running or cycling, I stumbled across something called audio fuel. I downloaded a free sample. Will see how it goes, but maybe some of the rest of you might want to test it out. http://www.audiofuel.co.uk

In reference to all the maury stuff on the last page that I've missed. I've always remembered this page since well I needed one reason to cheer up about a previous relationship. http://www.pown.it/399

Processor is pretty slow at only 1.3Ghz. I guess they in a way tried to compensate for that with a larger than average amount of ram. But I wouldn't waste my time. At that price cnet had a kick ass laptop as the one to buy for this christmas: a kick ass 16 incher with a lot under the bonnet for the price. Cnet UK @leetpants: My laptop apparently had AMD cool and quiet technology but my memories of it are only hot and noisy. Under clocking your processor is the last thing you want to do if like me you used your laptop for programming, gaming and even writing a disc. Under clocking my laptop from 1.8 to 1.6 ( only safe step I could chose from were either 1.6 or 800mhz) laptop was still running at about 82 degrees idle. 90 on load. Also had to stop playing anything because it ran so choppy. But that was the past. The laptop was a faithful servant until just before the warranty ended. Maybe it did me a favour.

Hmm Boffer were doing the Ipod nano 16GB for £89 on Tuesday I think. Seemed like a good deal but there is also a possibility of one turning up in the £6.99 secret santa.

What did your dad have before? I would say the sansa clip+ is a good choice.8GB for £40 with micro sd expansion slot: http://www.currys.co.uk/martprd/product/seo/802588 Anyway I would reference Hotukdeals And anything but ipod for reviews.

Pretty funny starwars comic I stumbled on the other day. But I've had to spoiler it because its a bit long, and not in sections like I thought.

Well I played the wii version for the first time over the weekend and I thoroughly enjoyed it. I question why I didn't pick it up before but I guess its down to the wii being in the family room, and its not really a family sit down and play game. I can't see certain aspects of this being implemented as well. Like the wank to recharge, or the combo finishers. Or even the throws for that matter. But I hope the game gets the recognition on the PS360 that it never got on the Wii.

I second a bad experience with my old Acer laptop. They say first impressions mean everything and well as my first ever laptop acer blew it. I looked after the thing like it was my own child, but just before my warranty ran out (thank God) the keyboard decided to stop working. I had to sent it to them twice before they acknowledged there was a problem with it. Then after my warranty ran out the laptop started overheating under load and I had to under clock my processor (WTF who underclocks a processor) then the hinge cracked a few month later and I got a HP laptop to replace it and have nothing but praise for them. Good customer service support. I'd say the only upside to acer was their customer support is based in the UK.

Don't know how it is done in photo shop. But for both you need to set alpha transparency.
