It isn't one that is traveling automatically so you can't really do anything halfway through. Managed to do it though, ground pounding to stop any potential sliding. 76 shines and working through Pianta Village, just done *another* "secret", so that was... refreshing.
-
Aye, it just has several average water themed levels. The blue coins and constant "secret" levels still remind me of how lazily they've made some of this. I'd rather they got rid of it if they're not going to try. Currently stuck on the Hotel Lobby Secret, that lil bastard Mario will not stay on that revolving thing. It's one of the slowest things and he just can't stop showing off his acrobatics and failing miserably. The lack of freedom to get non-level specific shines every time, in some instances I understand, but it's a case of "you want other shines? Fuck you, get this one first" Still, not a bad entry. [I confess, I didn't find the pachinko one that hard either - spent more time going round in circles than falling out the bottom]

I've been doing that at work. No one has said anything, if they're management aren't going to hire staff and make me feel uncomfortable telling patients all day every day they've gotta wait for a letter/etc. I'm gonna be as comfortable as possible. Had an interview for somewhere, didn't get it. So meeh there. On leave this week, which is nice. I know that following Boris' announcement we'll be getting more calls from people wanting/asking/expecting a letter saying they can shield. But they've got a rota set up so going forward me and the other secretary will be alternating working at home/coming in the office - not sure if this announcement may have thrown a spanner in that. But the actual prospect of working from home... seems weird considering I've been sat at a five desk island by myself for 7-8 months (christened Derek Island, complete with own flag) I can have dictations coming out my speakers and have Nintendo Radio playing when I'm doing other things.

COVID-19 (The artist formally known as Coronavirus)

https://newsthump.com/2020/10/31/boris-lockdown-announcement-delayed-until-he-can-prevent-it-looking-like-hes-doing-exactly-what-keir-starmer-told-him-to-do/ The bravado by the government is just so aggravating. They can queef out all that "following the science", when it showed that they didn't really. And when faced with additional science, examples set across the world, a suggestion by future Prime Minister Keir Starmer, Boris said "Ooooh, nooo, local lockdowns are cool, you feel me? Never gonna tell the country what to do" Now possibly his biggest u-turn ever, which I think is in part a decoy from the Rashford stuff, now with furlough having to be extended, maybe the meals thing will too, but this was all Boris' idea. Honest! -
My brother and I had a dual tattoo planned for 7-8 Nov, as you can imagine, has now been cancelled... 2020 just made it personal. Now on leave for a week and got the sniffles, as is tradition this time of year. Naturally I hope it's nothing worse, but I'm going through my yearly ritual of plowing myself of Lemsip sachets and Beechams flu plus. Should resolve in a couple of days.

Good to know that, it makes me less interested in doing them now they don't have the targeted approach. Many thanks -

Getting more into the classes now, trying at least once a week, got myself a compression shirt (not just a pretty name, I wasn't expecting that much compression) and some of those "MULTIPLE USE" head things that you can use as a facemask and all sorts of shit, which I use as a sweatband on my head. Squats are still not my friend, it royally fucks my knees, which I put down to my Osgood–Schlatter disease, so I sometimes have to stop and wiggle my legs a bit. And anything core-related, which is annoying as I want to get rid of some of this flab around my midriff, but they exercises make me feel so nauseous. -
If I was public/patient facing, I might consider it. However the number of people who would see me in this mask would not even reach double figures.
-
Great to hear all the success stories above. Can't wear my Majora's Mask mask, have to be "surgical" ones. And have three a day.
-
Got today off as they're deep cleaning the whole office as we all got a text yesterday saying one of our colleagues has been COVID confirmed. Shall see if we're allowed back in tomorrow... EDIT: got the text earlier, back in tomorrow, but have to wear masks all day when not eating/drinking. So glad I has my Zelda ones naow, they so soft.

Do it to the whole soundtrack Nintendo. I know you can do it

I also think that they think it's some sort of scare tactic, like saying you're going to take your business elsewhere "I'm thinking that I'm going to have to go private as it's taking too long." "Oh you said the magic word, look at that! You can come in tomorrow now! Please don't go private, I beg you"
-
I'm getting people going private a lot at work over here too. The bit that always staggers me is that some patients believe this is some sort of weapon/threat: "I understand there's a delay, but if I don't get a date soon I'm going to have to go private..." - Good! I tell them to go for it, if they feel their need is great enough they shouldn't wait, because outside of a trip to A&E, they have no choice but to sit tight. A shame it's come to this, but can't be helped.
-
Also be getting DBZ tatt around same time this comes out.
-
In honesty I could easily put this down, but I know I'd come back to it and forget 90% of stuff, and I'm only just starting to get used to the awful combat.
-
If it makes you feel any better, I've not even started my copy yet, gonna complete Xenoblade Chronicles first.

BUT WAIT, DERE MORE! Since we moved from Circle Health to NUH, they've shafted us with the pay. As we got transitioned over we got put on a pay band which was reflected on what we were earning before, which sounds fair you would think, however those other secretaries on the same band do not have the same responsibilities (ie less) than what we're doing. So either: 1 - Pay us a rate reflecting the duties we're expected to do 2 - Reduce our duties to reflect our pay band There's a petition going round to get that shit in gear, give us backpay (and keep years of service, which doesn't affect me as much as others with 10+ years), otherwise we're threatening strike action. Watch dis space...

Update from the wonderful world of the NHS... We've been back full time for about 2months now, those with kids still working from home, although most will be coming back next week. On the delightful department of gastroenterology that I work on, we've gone from a team of 4-5 people down to 2, and the other one has been working from home, went on leave, then went off sick for about a month, which has now been extended for another 4 weeks. There have been no attempts to actually hire any new staff members. So our senior has been taking the brunt of the admin work and everyone chipping in with the typing... So falling behind again with getting out letters to patients, so some of them have been complaining as ye do. But there's nothing I can do, except tell them they just have to wait.

First attempt at a class today of bodytone. I thought it would be a bit like the spin session where stuff would be set up, but you have to set up your bar and weights - description of the class wasn't that clear, so felt a bit awkward - then having to commit to those weight choices as a matter of pride (except on one occasion where I had to go down a weight because the larger ones couldn't be held properly) I enjoyed it though, now I'm more aware of what it entails I can prep a bit better before it starts and will probably book another class. We were in one of those rooms where one wall is a mirror, and I had the amazing honour of seeing myself lift some weights and raising my elbows and seeing my Ethan Ralph style gunt protrude on display for the whole class with each rep. The moment I got home I took off the shirt and ripped like Hulk Hogan and threw it in the bin. -
I might try this now my debt is gone. I'll have to get another account open and it was just £50-100 a month, but as you say, it'll add up nicely

With all this, would now be a bad time to say I won £1800 at bingo on Friday and have used that to pay off my credit card? =(
