  1. BUT WAIT, DERE MORE! Since we moved from Circle Health to NUH, they've shafted us with the pay. As we got transitioned over we got put on a pay band which was reflected on what we were earning before, which sounds fair you would think, however those other secretaries on the same band do not have the same responsibilities (ie less) than what we're doing. So either: 1 - Pay us a rate reflecting the duties we're expected to do 2 - Reduce our duties to reflect our pay band There's a petition going round to get that shit in gear, give us backpay (and keep years of service, which doesn't affect me as much as others with 10+ years), otherwise we're threatening strike action. Watch dis space...
  2. Update from the wonderful world of the NHS... We've been back full time for about 2months now, those with kids still working from home, although most will be coming back next week. On the delightful department of gastroenterology that I work on, we've gone from a team of 4-5 people down to 2, and the other one has been working from home, went on leave, then went off sick for about a month, which has now been extended for another 4 weeks. There have been no attempts to actually hire any new staff members. So our senior has been taking the brunt of the admin work and everyone chipping in with the typing... So falling behind again with getting out letters to patients, so some of them have been complaining as ye do. But there's nothing I can do, except tell them they just have to wait.
  3. Classic mafia gang shafting, if I fall you'll see I'm town, and avenge me!
  4. First attempt at a class today of bodytone. I thought it would be a bit like the spin session where stuff would be set up, but you have to set up your bar and weights - description of the class wasn't that clear, so felt a bit awkward - then having to commit to those weight choices as a matter of pride (except on one occasion where I had to go down a weight because the larger ones couldn't be held properly) I enjoyed it though, now I'm more aware of what it entails I can prep a bit better before it starts and will probably book another class. We were in one of those rooms where one wall is a mirror, and I had the amazing honour of seeing myself lift some weights and raising my elbows and seeing my Ethan Ralph style gunt protrude on display for the whole class with each rep. The moment I got home I took off the shirt and ripped like Hulk Hogan and threw it in the bin.
  5. I might try this now my debt is gone. I'll have to get another account open and it was just £50-100 a month, but as you say, it'll add up nicely
  6. Classic mafia tactic Vote: Beast
  7. With all this, would now be a bad time to say I won £1800 at bingo on Friday and have used that to pay off my credit card? =(
  8. Laid down the money for this And also took the plunge into this, as I have an RPG itch to scratch at the moment. However I think I may hold off, as I know once Mario arrives it will probably take priority, and Xenoblade will fall by the wayside
  9. I did originally plan on going to Tesco to pick up my meds afterwards but afterwards I thought "fuck it, I just wanna shower", if I ever do it again I'll wear some sort of sweatband, even if it's just on my wrists. Luckily my legs didn't hurt too much after, the cycling I've been doing to/from work has brought my gains back to them, so was able to walk out with no wobble. I'm so happy the last song was just a cool down stretching thing, by the end of the preceding song I was sure I was gonna throw up.
  10. I did this last night... fuck... These spin bike things are weird. By the end I couldn't see as well because I sweat so much in my eyes
  11. I've booked myself down for a spin class, to actually make me go to the gym, as opposed to my "I'll go after work, definitely this time as I brought my kit to work with me, actually I'll just have a nap as usual"
  12. But that will just have the mafia deciding on who to kill, and them not actually dying, and the town voting for the mafia, but when the vote is cast it takes over a year for them to be eliminated.
  13. Arnie should sing more,. if not all Disney songs
  14. They're certainly not rising from under it, but I don't eat sweetcorn/garden peas so I can't speak to their powers of levitation
  15. I did a bit of analysis on the image, turns out those waffle things have holes in them. garden peas and sweetcorn... disgraceful. Still never tried a turkey twizzler, wouldn't mind giving it a go though.
  16. Looking at it I would've sworn it was going to be a 3DS game, it's like Spirit Tracks stretched onto a TV, a game truly gagging to be played handheld
  17. Liking the look of Raji
  18. Helping out da local game stores
  19. Currently in a house we've had for about 4 years, with the wife of 5 months. Would love to do a bit of remixing to it. Mainly screw down some floorboards as they're creaky as fuck. Currently giving ourselves about an extra 1x5m space in our garden by removing the conifer trees on the boarder with next door and putting up a proper fence. One of the trees will need a tree surgeon to put it down as it's just too high, but the rest I'm going to slowly dismantle myself to save money. Asked the students next door for their landlord's number to give them the heads up, as I think he has a tree in there too (it's a massive mess so may not) but what we're sure he has is some rather aggressive Russian ivy which has almost fucked over the conservatory once until I chopped it back, and in my favour has smoothered 2-3 of the conifers so they haven't gone beyond 3 metres. Warned him that I would cut off the majority of what's on my side and conferring them to the flames. The rest I would be returning to its garden of origin, so may be something he might want to have a look at.
  20. I've not had any problems with the app. I got through Tales of Zestiria X with no issues. Currently working through Food Wars, which someone recommended then appeared on the Netflix. Most enjoyable. Almost inspires me to do some cooking.
  21. AWD-IT Ranger 5 Plus, AMD Ryzen 5, 8GB RAM, 480GB SSD, NVIDIA GTX 1650, Gaming Desktop PC bundle: https://www.costco.co.uk/Electronics-Security/Gaming-PCs-Consoles/Gaming-Desktops/AWD-IT-Ranger-5-Plus-AMD-Ryzen-5-8GB-RAM-480GB-SSD-NVIDIA-GTX-1650-Gaming-Desktop-PC-with-236-Full-HD-LED-Widescreen-Monitor-RGB-Gaming-Keyboard-Mouse-Plus-Headset-Mouse-Pad/p/332876 Think it's time for a new model. My PC is about 15 years old (gfx replaced about 4 years ago). Just need to get a friend to assist me with adding a disc drive and we'll be sweet.
  22. Now you're moving onto an actor whose films I can fully appreciate. As for Jackie Chan, I'm assuming you will be getting The Tuxedo in due course, assuming you haven't already?
  23. I've just noticed that E4 are trying to fuck me over. When reading about when the Batwoman Crisis episode was back in April, article said May, naturally coming to the end of that and no episode forthcoming so checked the article and episode listing to see if I fucked up. Nope, should've been episode 9. Turns out they've skipped it entirely and apparently going to tack it on the end of the season in about 10 weeks time and I'm not having that. Hoisting the Jolly Roger when I get home from work...
  24. Well she was quite the wooden actress, but the whole cast is pretty poor. They're just not introducing anyone of a) note, b) memorable. Apart from Alice (obviously their female Joker) which they are focusing way too much on, the whole Beth thing could be stretched out over a couple of seasons, however they cant bank the success will last that long so are just dumping it out all at once. All I can remember is Magpie, their Catwoman who wears a white wig so is a clone of Black Cat from Spider-Man.
