I didn't think it was *that* bad, but the forced sexual angst was unnecessary "Why would I do that?" "Because you're a guy, and I'm hot" Emmy award winning scripting there. Length was perfect, of a second season happens and is as long I'll give it a whirl. Unlike Warrior Nun which went nowhere very quickly. Currently testing Behind Her Eyes, because all women within earshot at work won't shut up about it, and it's starting to make waves on the Facebook feed.

With the changeover finally happening, it looks like I'm being made into a permanent PPA, which is pretty much the same duties as I am on now (I'm still working out the deets), but they've realised they've not been paying us as much as they should, so we're going to get backpaid from August, so that'll be just under a grand I think. Also had an interview for a gynae/colp typist today, same pay as above but more on the typing, so kinda a step back, but equal money for less work... hmmm... Even though with my future pretty much assured I went to it anyway, just as a fallback or leverage. I think I did alright. I'm pretty sure I beat the lass who went in before me. There was a typing portion of the interview which they said would be 20 minutes. I get there and someone else is still doing theirs so I'm waiting outside, for about 30 minutes and I can hear periodic typing, sounds like slow stuff. So they drag me into the interview bit first. I get to the typing portion, wondering about my skills, as if this is meant to take 20 minutes and this other one took over 30, there's possible several letters etc. No. Two documents, one has 3 questions you write your answer to, the other was a 90 second dictation. I was out in under 5 minutes, and I only took as long as I did was because I Google'd the spelling of some conditions.

This delightful TV. https://www.costco.co.uk/Electronics-Security/Televisions-Projectors/Televisions/LG-50UN81006LB-50-Inch-4K-Ultra-HD-Smart-TV/p/331361 I come home from a shitty day at work and the subsequent satisfying nap, ready to watch telly and I find my TV was broken, it was flickering every second - but not turning off - looks like the LEDs in the back had gone. Naturally this in unacceptable so I demanded wife take me to costco so I could buy another. Mission accomplished. It's got like a mousewheel on the remote. Crazy.

I get that completely. There was fuck all I could find that I could use my degree for, in the end I just had to accept the reality and go into retail. Not what I wanted, but it's all about the money in the end

COVID-19 (The artist formally known as Coronavirus)
EEVILMURRAY replied to bob's topic in General Chit Chat
I thought they said there was "more benefit" with a bigger delay between the jabs? (whether it's true or not...) -
So have I, by this I mean - is your consultant stuff related to your degree or did you have to find something better?

COVID-19 (The artist formally known as Coronavirus)

Yep, and not as much as we did the first time around. I think it worn everyone down. Main thing is (for my dept) is just that we're about a month behind on sending letters out, so people not getting meds in time etc. -
Could be worse, you could have a media studies degree.

With my contract due to end on Feb 18th, I've been given a 3 month extension while they still decide what's happening with our department. Which is nice, but wish the heels weren't being dragged so much. Still, means I can stick around until May

COVID-19 (The artist formally known as Coronavirus)

I had to give props to Führer Johnson for acting so "quickly", as soon as I saw Our Savior Starmer suggest another lockdown, I could feel Boris rolling out a Captain Hindsight speech and how he doesn't need to do anything because of "putting in £x million into blah..." much like he did with the circuit breaker before he U-turned on that. I was expecting a similar fobbing off and then it happening in a couple of weeks. Was nice of him to mention the free school meals too, nip that renegade Marcus coming back and making such unreasonable requests. Alas this doesn't change my circumstances, work hasn't changed, except some of the other staff have had to go back home-schooling etc. -
She's always been a redhead to me, albeit more subtle It was just her hairstyle that annoyed me in Zero

This makes me want to bang out the original special edition I has on PS3, barely even touched it. I got killed by one of the first enemies then gave up, even using the FAQ it bloody came with.

Agreed, this could've either been a bit shorter, or at least some alternative footage. It almost felt like it was a video all about the water temple.

I finished watching it around the same time. They could've finished it at season 7. This was on par with Game of Thrones for dull endings. Especially the pawning off of Harrison, and his killer girlfriend just not dyeing her fucking hair.

I must be a camera god. Done just under 20 stars in Mario 64 and barely having camera problems at all. I had more issues in Sunshine. But it's on the backburner as a casual side game naow as I play Abzu and replay Captain Toad. I know I'll make it my bitch again.

Only couple of quid on eShop.

Maybe they operate the same as the other place I ordered from. (Foolishly) After I placed the order I thought I'd send off a nice tweet to them about whether they actually had it in stock, because I didn't really want to wait. The response: "While we don't actually carry stock on hand for Manga titles, it is readily available to order in from our suppliers and ship out to you." Not the most encouraging response, but maybe they know where I can direct my query - "Many thanks, where might I be able to enquire about if it is in stock? The store doesn't mention either way, and the Facebook/Twitter links provided bring me to you." What they came back to me with: "As mentioned in the previous tweet, stock isn't actually on hand - if you ordered it on our site, we would then have to order in a copy." Not really what I asked them. So basically = they don't know. I'm not really wanting to deal with middlemen if they just don't know, so I held my tongue replying and just cancelled my order.

Managed to do the last of my Mario Galaxy 120 stars in handheld mode, the last one being the manta surfing trial star (which I had to slide out the Joycons and hold console in hand, as the controls weren't as tight). One thing I do wish towards the end with all the comets is that at least one other stayed after the rest, I had to keep going back to the Luma to make them appear each time. I've never done 120 on Wii, was most excited when Rosalina said I could reach another world with them after rechallenging Bowser. However it seems I must do all 120 again with Weegee before I can go back to Mushroom Kingdom "Galaxy". As great fun as doing all this was, I'm not really in the mood of repeating it all over again any time soon for 1 extra star. It's giving me feels to plow through Captain Toad again. Or I might start Mario 64, see how it holds up in my hands.

Crivens. I fear how long Hero Quest will take...

I've been around the houses here this morning. Cancelled the order on Zavvi as I saw it cheaper on anime-on-line for £125, have now requested that order to be cancelled as its on the Amazon for £112.

Hopefully a promising new development for EEVIL, a job borderline identical to what I'm on now (due to end in Feb((and on more money)) doing same kind of consultant work was open and planned on applying during annual leave last week, but vacancy was closed. So I emailed one of the colleagues I've been chatting to previously about similar opportunities and she reopened the vacancy for me to apply. It's another 12 month maternity cover - I can't seem to get enough of doing these kind of gigs. Current (and previous job) were these too, but it keeps me in the NHS doing shit I've been doing for 2 years. Just need to get an interview now. No special treatment sadly, which I wouldn't have minded as it would've been for me. Ah well

What was the release date for this? I thought it was beginning of the month, but I can't find the date anywhere, and other websites appear to be having it in stock

Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity (20th November 2020)

Most possibly, but I suspect the actual story content will be much shorter. -

If you're expecting anything beyond 1-2 hours of actual story, you be crazy. -
If the Great White Hope President Trump doesn't manage to hold on to his title - I will give it a year before Biden is House of Cards'd out of the White House and Harris takes over.
