  1. Well, I finally got my computer (or well, all the components which I've succesfully put together it seems). If people are up for a game with newbie (Have played though the first campaign in single player on easy to get a feel for the game, and a feel for PC gaming in general, it has been a while ), people can add me, my steam account is Nat_King_Cole. Please notify me through e-mail.
  2. Well yeah, I don't understand why many people don't seem to like the second game as opposed to the first. Anyway, for other views on the game, you can revisit [this thread] from way back then . In short, my view from that thread: I loved all the prime games. I loved the darker atmosphere in this one, the result from the dark/light world mechanic. Loved the bosses, didn't mind the ammo or the keyhunting (didn't love it either obviously). Wasn't keen on the swamp level, but absolutely loved the fortress. Loved the light suit, but in contrast, absolutely hated the dark suit . As for multiplayer, never really played it (didn't have bots I think?), but from what I could tell it wasn't anything spectacular. I don't agree however that the Metroid universe should be restricted to single player games. I'll always prefer a new single player game obviously, but hunters proved there's fun to be had in a multiplayer environment too, and the metroid universe is simply the first party franchise best suited for such a game. I'd love to see a sequel to hunters on a console one day. I've just replayed Resident Evil 4 a few days ago, in 2 sessions, maybe I should replay the first 2 Metroid prime games, 2 of my other favourite Cube games, as well.
  3. You mean the upper right corner (I believe that was the pink one )? I think it was the katana-charge (battery) meter. Nevertheless, your ideas are probably correct as well .
  4. I got the feeling especially Sony is pushing 3D as the new trend. I think this will be a costly failure for them.. What they (and the rest) should be pushing is OLED screens for the mainstream. Then they may pursue new 3D technologies as far as I'm concerned. Obviously, I love 3D, and it's the future, in the end we all want a holodeck. But for now, the technologies we have now are a gimmick. Fun for a while, fun for early-adopters and hardware enthousiasts, but not commercially viable for mainstream. For that they have to make the screens (lenticular I believe?) without the glasses cheap enough for mainstream.
  5. I was actually looking at the x360 controller for my new PC (counting down 2 weeks, finally :P), for the few 3rd person games I have (which'll soon include Batman probably..). Anyway, I can sometimes be pretty obsessive over little details, and I have decided I require a black controller. Problem is they don't sell a Windows version of it. I'll need a wireless receiver, but they don't appear to be sold seperately (anymore). Does X-box customers service sell these as spare parts perhaps? I'll call them when I'm actually ready to purchase it (if possible), but if anyone can inform me beforehand? Their e-mail support (well, at least the Dutch division) wasn't very helpful.
  6. Hmm yeah, Jenny does nothing for me unfortunately, so this won't sell the game to me . Still disappointed she replaced Kari Wuhrer as agent Tanya :P!
  7. Yeah, I feel left out, What about the people who already own the trilogy, seperately, huh? HUH?!Oh well, I don't know what I'm complaining about, I've got the game twice.. On Metroid Prime 1 and on Metroid Zero mission if I'm not mistaking.
  8. Hmm, I wanted to get a set just for the collection & coolness factor, but from these reactions I gather that the classic pro is actually quite an improvement. I think I'll order my set in a month or so.
  9. Crap, have to wait another day.. Our local Media Markt had the game ready in storage, but wasn't allowed to sell the game before the actual releasedate.. Never did I have this problem before. Got Mario Galaxy and Metroid Prime 3 a day early for example.. But now they strictly follow the releasedate. Oh well, tomorrow it'll be mine!
  10. Although I really want to buy and play the DS game first, it may prove difficult to find it sealed.. So I decided to forget the DS game for now, and get this one anyway. [Proof, together with another purchase that arrived today] I'll have to finish Little King's Story (at least) first before I start this though. But I can't wait.
  11. Geez people, I check this thread for some general info, but the last posts all contain puzzle solutions.. Anyway, am I correct on thinking this is a must-buy for me, someone who likes point & click adventures, and has Zack & Wiki, and all the Phoenix Wright games amongst others, in his collection? And to what extent is the DS game needed, as far as getting enjoyment from the story? I'm guessing it's not required, but it's a great game to get nonetheless, so double win? Getting it (new) might pose a problem though (allthough, I think I may have found something). I've always been interested in the DS game, but just never got around to it.. And now the Wii version almost sharing a similar fate, getting overlooked by me, because between the freaking monster PC I've just ordered, and the North Sea Jazz Festival next month, and the Conduit getting released, I have little room for other expenses.. I just get the feeling I should try to get the DS game if possible, and then the Wii game as soon as possible.
  12. I did read the last page, and I personally was referring to this post: He provided a link for a confirmation on Fragile (and like I said, I'm not doubting that ), but I'd also like a link to something that confirms Arc Rise Fantasia (with or without date), because I'm anticipating that game as well.
  13. Where can I find a confirmation of this? It isn't on the news page of the Rising Star site.. And searching for "Fragile" doesn't get a result. Not that I'm doubting Fragile's 2010 release, but I'd also like to see a confirmation of Arc Rise Fantasia . Anyway, great news though. One worry less.
  14. Another vote for Mario Kart Double Dash. There are plenty (Nintendo) games I don't like, but there are few I actually dispise. I almost want to destroy my monitor thinking of it. The controls were off, the feel of the controls were off, and the tracks.. God damn. That baby Mario & Luigi track? Argh.. Whoops, there goes my monitor. I should've gone for the Resident Evil pack back then, but I really wanted a silver Cube. Oh well. Makes a nice coaster I guess.
  15. I'm not 100% sure, but I think I already came across one on one of the pics of the new hardware. Edit: Hmm.. Sorry, no. Seems I was confused with the light blue remote, which does have a matching motionplus add-on. After googling, it seems there are no concrete plans for it, which is weird, but on the otherhand you can bet that they eventually will release a black motionplus.
  16. .. I'm crying here (well allmost). I'm not going to import the game (not to mention the whole black Wii set), but I will get me some black remote / nunchuck combo, and probably the new classic controller as well. The game will have to wait though .
  17. I personally wouldn't bother with new play control, and buy the games for Cube when possible. That means both Metroid Primes * Pikmins & (have to get Pikmin 2 myself). Furthermore I agree with the above mentioned Rogue Squadron, Viewtiful Joe, and (especially) Eternal Darkness. And would like to add Geist. Second Sight is good too, judging from what I've played, and Beyond Good & Evil I'll have to hunt down myself in the near future.
  18. I'm not one of those people who wait for pricedrops, and I was convinced to buy this game when I first heard of it (which feels like.. A year ago?). Unfortunately, this game does not seem to exist in The Netherlands. I've called various stores Friday, and checked a few websites, but it's nowhere to be found. Maybe some distribution problems? Who's the distributor in Europe (I'll give them a call perhaps). I think I'll wait a bit, in case it does show up in the next week or so, so I can support the Dutch videogame market specificly, or maybe I'll just order it from Amazon(.co.uk), that'll be a quicker, and a whole lot cheaper as well.
  19. Nice find. Haven't checked the links, but (at least) these titles also have a bonus: Onslaught Earthworm Jim Bomberman Blast BIO MIRACLE BOKUTTE UPA FINAL FANTASY CRYSTAL CHRONICLES: My Life as a King LostWinds Cho Aniki Double Dragon Impossible Mission Kid Icarus R-TYPE
  20. Unfortunately, the site still does very little for me, and I'm trying this from a different computer.. The url is: http://ms.nintendo-europe.com/competition/nlNL/animal_crossing_lets_go_to_the_city That's (or should be) the Dutch site, I guess normally you can simply replace the countrycode, but nothing's working for me. Nintendo sent the news around in one of their mailings, so check your e-mail if you signed up for their newsletter. Edit [00]: Oh wait, I've got something now.. Perhaps the site is just very, very slow. Edit [01]: In the newsletter they made a point of me having registered the game on the site, maybe that's a requirement for getting the e-mail.
  21. Yeah did the egg hunt. Was also probably the earliest I've ever played Animal Crossing (well, this one anyway). Just missed Joan. I think I got the whole set, sold it immediately to pay for my final home upgrade. Without turnips, it takes me a while to get things done . Allthough, It's either easier to get the home upgrades, or I've already stuck with this version longer that I have with Wild World, because I didn't even get the final upgrade there. Caught a couple of new fish as well, and also a snail. It was raining on my easter day, I felt pretty sorry for that bunny guy . I have plenty of pictures in my "archive", maybe I'll upload them once. Anyway, headlines; Nintendo EU seems to have a nice competition going on, you can design your own.. Something, which will be made available to download for all European players! Don't know the details yet, as I can't quite access the site at the moment, but pretty cool!
  22. I've bought this game, before Madworld, but I've been playing that instead since it's release. Now that's out of the way, I started playing this again yesterday. Quick anwser, I think it is fun, and worthy of the money invested. You have to know though, this is coming from someone who hasn't played the previous games, or has much experience with stealth games alltogether. Maybe I'll elaborate later, but for now, maybe you should check out IGN's video review. I normally don't myself, but I made an exception, and it basically sold the game for me. Not perfect, as the review also states, but certainly a nice effort.
  23. Not gonna pre-order, usually don't actially, unless it's a nice CE (I did with Bioshock and Fallout 3), but I'll do my usual thing of going the day before the official releasedate, asking if they happen to have them already (and up for sale). Big games like this one usually come in early.
