Not quite the response I was expecting.. But yeah I'm in. But I dunno what or how, so somebody else with more experience with the game will have to suggest and set-up something. I'm assuming a tournament of some kind? 20:00 UK? I just got home and only had an half hour with the game so far, so I want to check more stuff out first. Do a little more of adventure mode, and maybe try to do a classic mode as well. And figure out how I unlock my partner Eeevee spirit.. I have a normal Eevee spirit, must be coincidence? It doesn't look like a partner version though, and it hasn't shown up. Hmm. I hoe you don't mind I'm absolutely terrible though, I forgot everything including controls, and lost the very first spirit fight I tried. Forgot how to jump while falling from the platform. I skipped the last generation obviously, but I never played the 2 games before that much either. I'm still in Smash 64 mode. What are those fancy side special moves? They are confusing me. Edit: This is probably a good time to update the friend codes thread, which I'll do later.

Finally reached Platinum last night. That took a lot of going up and down on Gold, haha. But this is probably end of the line for me, end of the season / start of the new season is in 2 weeks I believe. But did it with Robot, never played anyone else in ranked. I love Robot, and I love playing as the character considered to be practically the worst. Anyway, I earned almost 4 level 3 Arcana thanks to that. Still miss the video capture feature though. Had an hilarious win in a standard game. Teams were about even. Similar score and all the high towers still standing on both sides. Then the enemy team attempts to kill the Dark slayer. I jump in (with Robot), steal the buff like am motherfucking boss, then ran the hell out of there. Enemy team just plain surrendered after that.

Thanks for reminding me. Guess I'll be playing the final episode tonight.

People (even here I think?) speculated it was a stroke of marketing genius. It went viral because of the lack of music. If it was deliberate, well, then it worked.

Yeah but that's what Wonder Boy already did, so that in itself doesn't make it standout from that. In fact, the game initially used retro sprites. But the backgrounds are more elaborate and it does seem to have more content.

Ah, I was under the impression it was also some remake.. But regardless, going over the trailer again, it does look more ambitious. And the anime cutscenes must be expensive.

I'm waiting for physical for Messenger. Gris is day 1, no Smash is getting in the way of that. Monster Boy.. seems expensive compared to Wonder Boy? Does the game have that much content? I probably will buy Abzu, haven't done so yet because I'm playing other games. No interest in Guacamelee. Did have interest in Princess Madelyn, but that may be the one who will have to wait. other than that, Smash and Fitness Boxing, maybe something from my backlog for Christmas, though I was also considering a Raspberry pi. Maybe I'll buy a few backlog items myself. Oh and still need to import Mega Man.

1] Don't sleep on your Switch. It's not a suitable pillow. 2] Get a pro controller, though this can wait once you have more / other games. For Mario joy-cons are fine. 3] You may as well start your trial so you can play some NES games. 4] It would be great if you keep your Switch profile name the same / similar as you forum name. Not everyone does that here. This is the name we get to see on our friendlists. 5] If you don't have twitter, consider creating an account and linking it, it's the easiest option to share screenshots and videos. 6] Depending on how big your wishlist is, you may want to look into Micro SD cards. I saw some Chili flakes among the spices.. My mom has never used those before. I wondered what they'd taste like in their "pure" form (as if they'd taste vastly different than when used as an ingredient), so I put some in my mouth.

Did I just create a thread for Fitness Boxing? Yes I did. I'm getting this. The demo is out now, so you can try it for yourself. I've gotten all the impressions I need from it, so I'll ignore the demo for now and wait for the full game. I'm not asking for much, I just want a relatively fun workout, or at least a more convenient one. I could use more exercise, and this seems to deliver. I'm getting the impression that overall it's pretty basic (in things like the presentation for example), but I don't mind, as long as I'm getting the exercise. There's a little gamification going on of course.. The game itself is a pretty basic rhythm game, where they start slow, but then introduce combos (different moves) later. This is great for people who like to exagerate their moves, like in Wii Sports Boxing, you really do have to move. Unlike Arms for example, which is a much more subtle and controlled fighter, and does very little in the way of exercise. Another part of gamification are the unlocks. You unlock various clothes for your instructor, and yes, Lin (the poster girl and default instructor) is already wearing something more revealing. Before each exercise, the camera spins around the instructor purely to show off her body clothes. Lin has an accent.. It's one of the things that comes across as a bit basic.. But maybe it's deliberate, to stay authentic. Lin is Asian after all. To be honest it's also a bit endearing. That said, this is not a game, or something that requires immersion.. I think this is a perfect example of software that should be dubbed in as many languages as possible. But language options are only English and Japanese. My biggest worry was if the songs would annoy me, but the good news is they don't. They already removed the biggest threat, the actual vocals. And your instructor keeps commenting through it. So the songs are reduced to background noice. They're really just there as a musical aid to keep your rhythm going. I suspect another advantage of this is that if you don't have enough room where you normally play your games, you can just move your Switch to a more spacious room and put it in tabletop mode. I haven't tried this myself yet, but since you don't really need much from the screen, I'm sure that would work out. So yeah. Will this give me that desired sixpack? I don't know. Time will tell. Regardless, it feels like it's a good option if you want more exercise. I'll pre-order this later, and for the first time I'll deliberately go for the digital option, as to me this is utility, and I just want it on my Switch at all times.
