Finally working on organising all those ticket stubs I have and reconstructing lists, I'm bumping this thread before I'll post my favourites for 2018 at the end of the year. They actually have a community competition of sort, spanning a year? It started this month.

Got my blu-rays yesterday, and watched it all in one go. In short: I liked the ending, and I'm still very much invested in the overall story and the characters, and can't wait to see where it goes next season. But there was lopts of stuff that felt kind of meh during the season. Pacing problems, narrative and motivational problems.. Lots of little things that annoyed me. Two mention two big things I didn't like: the whole episode following that native American, that was boring, and I also really didn't see the point of showing Shogun world. That was pretty boring as well. But yeah. I'm rooting for hosts, and am glad they made it out there, and hope to see more of them in the real world next season. Also that hidden digital "heaven" reminded me of the Ark in Soma.

I still have some stuff to buy, so I'm really going to wait until the last minute. Edit: In fact, if you're sure that total is final, I'm not going to update this chart but rather use it as the starting total for 2019.

No there is a social aspect, and no it's not easy to trade with strangers. But it's nice to have the option. And some decisions are a bit baffling yes, I don't know why passwords are too simple for their own good, and you can't just invite people from your friendlist to trade. But you can invite friends by other means to trade (or battle), like this thread here (don't forget local). Then you can set-up a trade the way you want it, despite some of the hassles. Personally I see the ability to trade with strangers as a nice bonus. Like a little minigame. I had fun with it trying to get something I wanted from it. But yeah, there's no excuse for them to not implement a better method in the next game.

.. Hence this thread. As for the reason? I think this way they try to force the social aspect, and somewhat drive a few more sales that way. It's simple to simply automate this kind of trading system.. But this would completely make the two different versions and the trading itself pointless. They could remove it altogether and simply have all the Pokémon available in one game version.. But this decreases the engagement a player has with the game.

Interested in this one: The artstyle is inspired by 90s use of 3D in sprite-based games I believe.. like Donkey Kong, Mario RPG. Not everyone's a fan. Personally I'd also prefer a different style, it does look like a cheap animation, but I don't hate it either. I do like the premise. It's an oldskool RPG set in a town where time has stopped. There are time-traveling shenanigans happening.
