  1. Yes Man Stars Jim Carrey as the man who says "No" to all until he learns the power of "Yes". Now that is when the movie gets interesting and funny at the same time, not that it isn't interesting at the beginning or anything. Quite a brilliant movie full of laughs throughout. 9.5/10
  2. Name the one thing that can be compared to George Bush's ego?
  3. Never heard of this guy until i watched Red Dwarf, when one of his plays was mentioned. Still, a talented bloke all round. R.I.P
  4. Had a great day today. Got loads of nice stuff for Christmas, pic in the Christmas thread of everything. Had a great dinner earlier, stuffed myself with Turkey and all the trimmings and tonnes of sweets and chocolate etc. Watched A Sharks Tale earlier while half falling asleep then watched Wallace and Gromit: Curse of the Ware-rabbit. Now chilling out watching Top Gear: The Challenges, of which is fixed and plays each challenge beginning to end before going onto the next one, the earlier DVD messed this up and played 1/2 challenge of one and moved onto the next one.
  5. Merry Christmas everyone, better late than never is what i say.
  6. Stuff received for Christmas Thought it were easier to take a picture than to write it all down. Edit: The Top Gear box-set i got has the fixed Challenges DVD, so no more moving onto the next one halfway through the current challenge. Edit: Not pictured was £140 cash presents.
  7. More bad news for the economy. Only hope for Zavvi is for Branson to re-buy them.
  8. Spent half the day catching up on sleep, been tired as of late mainly due to the late nights and drinking i've been doing. All presents are wrapped up, cards are all written now just passing the time until the Christmas Eve party at the pub at 8pm until late.
  9. Happy Birthday the pair of you, have a great day. Just before Christmas as well, nice.
  10. It was when Rouge Squadron II came onto the GC was when we saw what the GC was capable of even in its early days. The game itself was brilliant, flight controls and firing was amazing, when in cockpit view it made you think you were controlling the vehicles for real. Even III was a good game, a small let down was the on-foot sections but they were still good.
  11. Sorry to hear Raining. Thoughts are with you and the family. Day 2 of my 2 week Christmas break has been ok, been visiting my Nan up in Abingdon today, was nice to see her again. Havn't seen her since the Summer really.
  12. 1: Fable II First RPG style game i've played, and it is brilliant. Still playing it now as well, quests are taking up most of the gameplay so far. 2: Banjo Kazooie: XBLA It was great to be able to play as the bear and bird duo after a long wait this time in HD and in 16:9 aspect. 3: Mario Kart Wii Finally, a proper Mario Kart title (minus the DS version) where online play was capable on the big screen.
  13. My purchases this weekend Years license for Kaspersky and Registry Mechanic. (£40) £0.70p
  14. Had a debate down the pub last night, they were playing the Alexandra version of Hallelujah on the jukebox thinking it was brilliant. I played the Jeff Buckley version, they soon stopped putting Alexandra on. Everyone preferred Buckley's version.
  15. Jeff made it to Number 2, Alexandra took the Number 1 spot (predictable, too predictable) Would have been funny if all three versions held the 1, 2 and 3 spots respectively. Now this may show the folk at The X-Factor that the public don't always buy into cacky, soul-less covers, but go for ones with more feeling and soul. May stop them promoting cack and actually write original songs for a change to attempt to go to Number 1. What am i saying, they won't stop doing this ever.
  16. The Majestic Stars Jim Carrey. Started watching this Thursday, but being ill couldn't finish watching it. Finished it today. It's a good movie, great story and all that. No let down with it at all. 8.6/10
  17. Can't even bear to listen to the Alexandra version of this, it ruins it completely. Already supporting the Jeff Buckley version
  18. Its the traditional dinner for myself this year Turkey Beef Gammon Roast Potatoes Mashed Potatoes Peas Carrots Sprouts (i won;t be eating them, disgusting) Parsnips Pigs in Blankets Gravy
  19. I could live on my own for a while, but i guess in the end i would go insane as there would be no-one else to talk to but myself.
  20. Last night was terrible. I've never gone to bed at 9:30pm for a long time, but because i was ill with a temperature and was shiviring etc, i had to go to bed and rest. Wrapped up to attempt to sweat it out, of which it worked. All i got left now is a mild sore throat, a partial blocked nose and a little irritating cough. Which is good as it is the last day of work today for a fortnight and so am going out with the guys after work for a few bevvies.
  21. EEVIL's going to kill me, but what the hey Happy Birthday Noodleman, have a good one.

    Fable 2

Darn it, was looking forward to playing it over Christmas. Oh well, still got plenty to keep me occupied in the meantime. You watch now, it gets delayed again 1 week to the release like now.
  23. Darn it. Its a pity that such a talented developer has to close its doors. Unexpected as well, thought they were doing pretty good for themselves and all that.
  24. Name an over-eccentric Republican who thinks that a certain large continent is a country?
  25. Pros of 2008 - Finally saw Bon Jovi live, after years of missing out. One of the best experiences i've felt in a long time, money well spent as well. - Got myself not one, but 2 girlfriends in the same year. Came after a 5 year wait, paid off well. - Passed the one year milestone in my job, and got a nice payrise for it as well. Cons of 2008 - Both girlfriends were not for me. One just wanted sex and money, the other made up excuses not to visit and excuses for preventing me visiting her. - Missed out on the N.E meet up again, and probably will be missing the one on the 22nd as well. Goals of 2009 - Actually attend a meet-up of which i have been wanting to do for a long time. - Find myself a female who likes me for me and wants me to spend time with her with no complications (hard one, but i reckon i can find someone special)
