  1. There's a lot of people across various social platforms saying this is the end of Xbox in the hardware sector, and that they are going full-on 3rd party. I don't see that happening, well at least not this generation anyway. How many consoles have they sold, something like 23-24 million or so. Gamepass subs, approx. 20 million. It's near enough a sub per console, so abandoning hardware may tank Gamepass subs here. Have heard rumours of a Gamepass refresh, with games possibly not coming to Gamepass Day 1 (well, at least not AAA titles). 2013 E3 wasn't a good year for Xbox, and 11 years later, they are still feeling the sting from that. However, what they revealed then is how this generation (and future generations) are heading. Gamepass is a sub service with no real ownership of titles, you need to be online now and again for Gamepass to check if you can play what you've downloaded. Best guess is next week, the rumours of some Xbox exclusives coming to other platforms is confirmed. They confirm the Series X all digital is coming around summertime, and emphasis Gamepass is their forefront on Xbox platforms. You can still purchase games, but only digitally going forward. You only have to read various media outlets to find that places in America are clearing Xbox games from shelves, only a matter of time before what's left of GAME does the same (and maybe online stores such as ShopTo). Xbox wants their games on as many platforms as they can, which is always a good thing. They're stance will change, could go more the Surface route of "works best on our platform" and have 6 months to a year of exclusivity before games are considered for release on other platforms. If Xbox was to leave hardware and focus on being software and sub first, that would potentially allow Sony to go full throttle in this area. They could do basically what they want (could charge £100 a game if they wanted) and that could be dangerous.
  2. Only his 2nd match since coming back to WWE (1st televised) and injured again. Same type of injury he had in AEW as well. He has to be made of glass, so prone to picking up any kind of injury.
  3. As predicted, the WWE Network outside the US ends later this year due to the Netflix deal
  4. So, big news just out. Netflix just secured the rights to WWE RAW. And outside the US, all WWE programming. Link here.
  5. Started my 2024 off with a complete playthrough of Life is Strange Remastered and Before the Storm Remastered on Series X. For remastered, boy there's some audio and visual jank with it (and a few bugs). Had a few occasions where the audio would cut out (which included voices, not limited to music). I did think it was my speakers, but pressing pause and the menu music played no problem. Visual issues, think playing Assassin's Creed Syndicate on PS5 before they fixed things. But still, taking them out of the picture and there's the same games we love with a pretty solid and emotional story.
  6. This leak was different, this one not only leaked out the next 10 years of Insomniac games but also leaked out personal information about their employees. So for some journalism outlets not reporting on it, i respect it. As Hero of Time said, people are just getting obsessed with leaks these days. Look at the GTA VI leak a couple of weeks ago, people were desperate for information on the game. People will look anywhere for information these days
  7. If they want people renewing Premium, then they'll need to get more features and older games on. If you've not played Tinykin, get on it. Great Pikmin-esq game.
  8. I'll give WWE credit for keeping Punk coming back pretty quiet. But looking at his recent AEW run, he caused a lot of issues with talent there. To the point he had to have a separate show created just for him and those willing to work with him on his last run. There are certainly talent and backstage personnel not happy to see Punk back on the roster, we know Seth Rollins and Drew McIntyre are two such talents who have issues with CM Punk, and no doubt there's plenty of others. Will be interesting to see how things pan out over the weeks and months. Hopefully WWE can keep Punk under control, i'm guessing he's on a "one last chance" kind of deal.
  9. Oh jeez. I remember they used to post pictures of themselves in the "Post a Picture" thread. Yeah........
  10. I've hardly touched the main quests, only on mission 4. Been doing some of the side stuff as it's been popping up, instead of waiting until the end as i did with the 1st game.
  11. This thread reminds me, i really ought to go back to get the Plat for this. Maybe after Spider-Man 2
  12. Welcome back Adam. Hopefully you stick around for a while, nice to see another familiar face return.
  13. CMA finally approves the deal Nice news to wake up to. Edit: And......it is done.
  14. It was coming eventually, still very sad to see. Reminds me to dig out the WiiU at some point.
  15. Superman 64. I mean, i can't find a single thing that is good about this game. Except one, which is the cartridge made a good stencil for something i was making at one point. Perfect Dark Zero. Bought it pre-loved, still have yet to get off the 1st area/mission. The original Perfect Dark took the GoldenEye formula and made it better, this felt like it was pulled through dog mess.
  16. I'm not expecting any announcement on Switch 2 (or whatever they'll call it) later. They'll probably hinder any current Switch sales over the holiday period, especially with the new Mario OLED model out now. Hopefully the rumoured Metroid Prime 2 and 3 remakes are incoming (possible shadow drop)
  17. Not really. As Ashley mentioned, the 1st and 2nd games are very similar. Just the music between both is different, so you may as well dig into the 2nd.
  18. I just don't understand their logic at times. I just chuckle when i see things coming out about issues i've raised, but they deny it's happening until it is too late. It's quite funny seeing management running around in a frizz, when if they acted upon issues earlier it would have been much better.
  19. You know as they say, snitches get stitches. That's true. Most of the screw-ups are happening on cases worth half a million in revenue, which in turn is costing us through fines and penalties for not completing on-time.
  20. We have this new policy on the team. "Screw up everything, get even more work to do. Work well to a degree, get your work taken off you" It's happened on a element of a project i do. Two others have not been doing their parts (at all or correctly), so i raised my concerns about it and asked if their part of it could be transferred over to me. Resulted in those who screw up their part getting the whole lot. Great.
  21. Strange how the deal between Microsoft and Sony doesn't specify a time compared to other deals agreed. Based on Monday, it would seem that there are some legal things left to tidy up only between CMA and Microsoft. CMA sort of has had enough of the mess they created.
  22. Be interesting to see what happens the next couple of days. Microsoft could close this deal by Friday at the earliest. I'm assuming they'll be in discussion with the CMA imminently (if not already)
  23. You can, yes
  24. I'm in the boat of "Elon forgot to pay the bill" Was funny, i reached the tweet limit Saturday evening during the "Money in the Bank" Premium event. Both amusing and frustrating at the same time.
