  1. Got to be Super Mario 3D World. Pikmin 3 is a great game and W101 is unbelievably awesome, but SM3DW is something very special indeed.
  2. You must really love Pokémon Bank then.
  3. Collect every green star/stamp, and hit the top of every flagpole.
  4. Yeah, I've not been very careful while playing this game, I find it even more fun that way. Quite a few of those were suicides too, just to quickly get back to the checkpoint flag when going for certain green stars/stamps. I have, but only got 5 or 6 stars so far. Love the challenge of these final levels though, I just find it so funny. For a game to go from being so easy to end up so brutally difficult is hilarious.
  5. Most likely, and it will indeed be awesome. But I'd almost prefer it if he instead transformed your opponents into Deku Scrub versions for a while. Now that would be entertaining.
  6. 4 shiny stars on my save file now, plus I've reached the final world and had a go at...
  7. No, December...
  8. Man, I really hope so. Love that game.
  9. It's snowing in my town! I've been really slack with AC recently (thanks to Zelda & SM3DW), but luckily I didn't lose any of my favourite villagers in my time away from the game. Working on collecting the Jingle furniture now. <nice to use that smiley again.
  10. I never even bothered downloading the YT app after reading all of the negative feedback it got. As for the system update, I don't think they specified when it would be available, other than December. So yeah, might as well expect it on the 31st.
  11. Yeah, I think the widely varying opinions on Bayonetta aren't helped by the difference in quality between the 2 versions. It's apparently a much better experience on the 360: http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/digitalfoundry-bayonetta-faceoff
  12. Err... subjectivity? There's no such thing as the best game™ on any system, just people's opinions. If Dcubed says Bayonetta is the best game on PS360, then for him it's the best game.
  13. Well if a Wii U port of Bayonetta is going to happen let's hope it happens soon, don't really fancy the idea of playing through the first game close to the sequel. That's very nice of you. As long as they don't rush it. *shouts at Nintendo* "I know the current situation with Wii U is bad, but please do not rush MK8!!"
  14. Yep. It supports everything! GamePad, Pro Controller, Wii Remote, even the Classic Controller. :awesome:
  15. Had a real scare while playing this a minute ago. Just finished replaying a stage (collected 2 green stars I was missing) but after I completed the level it was taking ages to save, then the background music stopped playing and 8-Bit Mario was running constantly but it was stuck. Home button wouldn't work, nothing. I waited for a few minutes, but in the end I had to hold down the power button to force the Wii U to turn off. Was worried I might have corrupted the save file in doing so, but luckily it was fine. Just had to get those 2 stars again, so it definitely didn't save. Yeah, It'll tend to do that. I'm loving all of the post-game content, there's so much of it too! It's amazing just how much quality Nintendo are willing to include at a point in the game where some people might have even stopped playing and possibly won't see it! There's even a...
  16. Forget the sleeve, GET PLAYING!!
  17. I know that seems like a good deal, but the game is actually pretty damn terrible. One of the few 3DS games that I've gotten rid of. Anyone that's after a fighter on 3DS should stick to SSFIV or Dead or Alive: Dimensions instead.
  18. The cheesiest of grins, yes. Unfortunately though that surprise was somewhat spoilt for me by the Nintendo Direct. I looked away as soon as the SM3DW segment started at the end of that ND, but I could still hear it, so I obviously heard the music. Wish I'd done what @ReZourceman did and just turned it off, oh well. Can't imagine what would've happened if I'd gone into that level without expecting it though... I probably would've had a heart attack! *EDIT* I've just gone and watched the end of that ND now, they ruin so much stuff! Including the huge spoiler I posted about yesterday! Bloody stupid. Why the hell did Nintendo put all of that in the ND?! Sure you want to get people excited for the game, but there's no need to spoil like 99% of it. I'm going to be extremely cautious of Nintendo Directs in the future.
  19. :o:o:o:o:o:o:o :o:o:o:o:o:o:o :o:o:o:o:o:o:o :o:o:o:o:o:o:o :o:o:o:o:o:o:o It just doesn't stop. The insanity of the later stages of this game is something else.
  20. Beat the game! That credits music is some the finest I've ever heard. And holy fooking sheeeeeeet @ the complete and utter insanity of the post-game content! :o :o Was not expecting stuff like this:
  21. Yeah, I figured they'd use that as a way to set it apart from all of the other YT apps. Mind you, is there even that much 3D content on YouTube?
  22. Loving the extra lives mini-game:
  23. If anyone has played Super Mario 3D World but still thinks the Wii U is last gen, they're an absolute donut. Anyway... Everyone remember this? That was at E3 back in 2004. I think a lot of cynical people believe that was just Iwata downplaying the importance of hardware due to the lower specs of the Wii, but in reality it makes so much sense, and it's a shame that many other developers don't realise it. Sure, there are certain things that naturally require a lot of horsepower, like photorealism and anything with a shit-load of stuff going on. But ultimately there's not much that can't be realised on the Wii U, unfortunately though it requires a bit more work to get results, and it seems the majority of devs don't share Nintendo's philosophy, they just want more and more power to make their lives easier. The funny thing is, if they followed Nintendo's example they'd actually save themselves a lot of money and I also believe we'd see much more creativity as a result too. This emerging trend of practically every game needing to be a huge production and look super realistic is one that I reckon will eventually damage the industry. It's anti-videogame in my opinion. Putting the emphasis on presentation or story, over that of gameplay and innovation is a mistake. So yeah, as far as the 3rd party situation is concerned I'm not too fussed anymore. If I really want to play a certain 3rd party title I'll just play it on another system/PC. I don't think there's anything else Nintendo can or should do in order to entice 3rd parties to Wii U either, they should simply continue to focus on creating their own fantastic games and follow their own path. Yeah, they'll be carrying the system by themselves, but let's face it, that's basically been the situation for a long time now.
