  1. I've actually experienced it on every single M+ game, even Ping-Pong on Resort. It was most annoying when playing through Skyward Sword though.
  2. A measly 70 bells in my town.
  3. This really does look great, but no mention of it in the European Nintendo Direct makes me think it's either a long way off, or not coming to Europe at all.
  4. It really would have, yeah. Such a shame.Playing this with Mokong last night (and remembering how much of a laugh Monster Hunter was) I kept thinking, if this just had voice chat it'd be so much more fun.
  5. I think you're putting words in my mouth there, Mokong. Never said I don't like Tennis, or I can't win. What I said was, when I lose it's generally because motion plus has lost accuracy and can't be recalibrated. I love the game... when it works as intended. And would love it even more (plus actually buy it ) if the online was good. Hehehe! You just know it'll be that. Or even more! I would be fine with that price though, if the online was perfect. But as it is, Wii Sports Club is definitely overpriced in my opinion.
  6. Had a good laugh playing this last night with @Mokong X\-C. We played a couple of games of Golf (he won both times), then Tennis (I won both) and then Bowling (1 win each) so we need to have the decider on Boxing! Anyway, when you're using an alternative communication tool (we were in the chatroom yesterday) setting up online games with friends isn't that bad, it's still annoying though. But yeah, this game has easily been the biggest gaming disappointment for me in a long time, it had the potential to be so good, and with just a few minor tweaks to the online setup (proper matchmaking, voice chat) it still could be, but I really don't think it's going to happen now.
  7. I would say let's have a game right now, but I've literally just finished stuffing my face with an entire quiche so don't really feel like moving about. Maybe a bit later on though, or tomorrow (before my trial runs out ) if you're about? That doesn't work for me, it'll recalibrate for like a second and then wander off to the side again. I might pop on at 10 for a bit.
  8. So what's everyone's best time on Super Advanced Rowing? Here's mine: :awesome:
  9. Knew you were going to crack. Anyway, I gave this a quick go earlier, but it seems I've become terrible at golf! I never used to be that bad on the original Sports/Resort. Perhaps I'm just out of practice. The GamePad golf ball view is cool, but not actually as good as I was expecting it to be. Didn't even try playing online as I remembered how boring Bowling was online when you're stuck watching the other players while waiting for your go, so golf will obviously suffer from that too. Instead I had a few online games of tennis, but after a while my Motion Plus started getting up to its usual tricks, and my tennis racquet was all over the shop. I've hardly ever lost a game on tennis because I was outplayed, it's always because my controller gets uncalibrated and it becomes impossible to play!
  10. Look at Mario's moustache! I need to sit down, this is too much. Oh, I am sitting down. I need to stand up... I need this game!! Don't you worry about that, even the dust is beautiful.
  11. I'm getting a slight WarioWare vibe from this, so definitely interested. Looking forward to some impressions.
  12. It's got to be pretty damn difficult to show growth after the Wii though. Even if the Wii U had been more of a success, if was very unlikely to sell over 100 million. What goes up... I don't know, probably. But does it make a difference at this stage? I think it was easier to change the image of the N64, from what I recall, people wanted it but just thought it was too expensive. While the Wii U seems to have a problem with both price and desirability. Anyway, let's see what today's Nintendo Direct brings.
  13. But Nintendo have traditionally made profit from their hardware, admittedly Wii U is the first console that they're selling at a loss, but it's apparently nothing major as it only takes a single software sale to turn that around: So with that in mind, once/if they start making profit on the hardware again, plus making profit on their software and if there are enough Nintendo fans out there to keep buying their games, surely that's all Nintendo need. Obviously they won't reach the same levels of success as they did with the Wii like that, not by a looooooong way, but it's not like they're going to go out of business or anything either. I guess anyone that gets fed up will just have to move on to something else then. Like I mentioned before, there are many alternatives, more than ever! Also, for every individual that does get fed up, there are bound to be people that are playing Nintendo games for the first time. So I really don't think Nintendo need to become something they're not and struggle just to try and keep hold of a few customers that only appreciate a small portion of their output anyway, when they can continue to produce the kind of games that they are comfortable making and hopefully continue to attract their existing fans plus newcomers.
  14. Or maybe simultaneous Satoru!
  15. If there's one thing I really don't get, it's people that continuously demand new IP from Nintendo, only to then frequently ignore or complain about them when they do come out, suggesting that they aren't quality games or they're games designed for casuals etc... It seems to be the same kind of people that only like a handful of Nintendo franchises (or even less that that) in the first place, usually Metroid and Zelda. They don't appear to acknowledge Nintendo's roots as an entertainment company, a manufacturer of playing cards, traditional games and toys. After all, that's what Nintendo have always been about, light-hearted entertainment that is inclusive and accessible to as many people as possible. Sure, as a developer of videogames there have been a few examples of Nintendo publishing/creating games with a more focused audience in mind, what you could class as "mature", but overall that's an absolutely minuscule part of what they're about. Nintendo's fundamental style has always been bright, colourful, and most importantly of all, fun! That style of entertainment is intended to be something for potentially everyone to enjoy, but there are obviously going to be people that won't, and that's fine, but those people shouldn't then insinuate that Nintendo need to change and produce games in a different way just to make something that'll appeal to them. If you don't like the way Nintendo produce games, then there are many alternatives for you to choose from. But it seems some people don't want to try those alternatives, for some bizarre reason they want Nintendo to change, and that to me is very wrong.
  16. Daaaaaaamn! Excuse me while I pick my jaw up from the floor. :awesome: And try to get my PC sorted out so I can play this.
  17. Nice. I used to dabble with BASIC back in the 80's/early 90's, but never really got good enough to write an entire game. I then got into Flash when that came about, managed to make a few simple games with that, including one (based on Punch-Out!) that I made for a banner on this very site. But yeah, I'm very much out of the loop now. The last games I made were in WarioWare: D.I.Y.
  18. Yeah, the fact it was in that TV ad means it must be close. And when a new Sport gets released, the 24 hour trial activates again for all sports, right?
  19. Hehehe... I can't wait for that one. "Where's the SpotPass for Europe, Nintendo?"
  20. We've definitely got the artistic side covered, if there's someone here that can program then we're good to go.
  21. You clearly don't know any real Nintendo fans.
  22. Do you know your best time? I can't remember mine off the top of my head. I wish there was another way to check scores on this without having to actually do the game/exercise again, or check someone's training history in the hope that they've done the activity you want to check. That notice board section for example, why include something like that but not give the actual score? I thought that would've happened when the retail version came out, but apparently not.
