  1. I'm quite liking that insect stick thingy weapon. Not so much the insect aspect of it, but it is cool how you can vault onto monsters without having to use the terrain. :awesome: It's not exactly straight forward in the demo (you need to input an ID to join a game ) but hopefully that's just for the demo... hopefully.
  2. I don't mind. You can do that then?
  3. So awesome to finally see Tingle in HW for real. And that is an amazing character model. :awesome: Highly detailed and incredibly creepy... Perfect.
  4. It was a bit of a strange ND for Europe in the end, I actually found more to enjoy from the US and Japanese Directs (like the Hyrule Warriors Tingle reveal and announcement of a new Rhythm Tengoku game for 3DS). I'm also astonished by the fact that Xenoblade 3D is still the only New 3DS exclusive title announced so far. Was really expecting there to be at least one more N3DS exclusive revealed. Gives me the impression that the N3DS could end up like the DSi, a nice upgrade hardware-wise, but seriously lacking in exclusive software.
  5. For me it's not so much the features they add, but the way they're limiting them to specific amiibo. I reckon every game with amiibo functionality should be compatible with all amiibo. For example, we should be able to unlock a Pikachu Mii racing suit in MK8. And in this game the pixel toads should just be replaced with pixel versions of whichever amiibo you scan. I get the idea of having amiibo that are related to a certain franchise providing special features, like the use of Kirby, Dedede, and Meta Knight in the new Kirby game, but that shouldn't mean the rest of the amiibo do nothing at all! Even if it's just a hat based on whichever character (having no actual effect on gameplay) they should include it. These are things which require minimal effort to create, but would add to the overall value of amiibo quite a bit.
  6. Hehehe! Yeah, it was me. And man am I rusty. Like really bad... Never got on with the 3DS controls for MH either, so that doesn't help. Nor does the fact we were hunting that crazy thing, which I've never encountered before. Also, what's with this ID malarkey? I hope that's just for the demo.
  7. Right, so that's everything added (I think ) what's everyone's Q1 shopping list look like then? So far the only stuff I'm pretty much guaranteed to get at launch is MH4U and Splatoon. Really surprised we didn't get some more release dates for Wii U stuff, like Mario Maker and Kirby.
  8. Looks like they have a checkered pattern:
  9. Nice to see Nintendo finally embracing this concept. But what about save data between the 2 versions, will they sync via local wireless, or will they be completely separate?
  10. So none of the current amiibo will be compatible with this game? That's disappointing.
  11. Wow, all of the MarioBros. series amiibo look so much better than the Smash ones, especially Peach! I kinda regret getting the Smash Bros. version of Mario now. Wario looks cool though. :awesome:
  12. I got a code. Cheers for the offer though, @S\.C\.G. : peace:
  13. Announced in the Japanese ND! This had better get localised.
  14. Updated the first post with the new info from today's ND, the schedule is looking a bit healthier now. Let me know if I missed anything.
  15. Wooo! Why wasn't this in the ND?
  16. Oh well, each to their own and all that. But you be crazy, amigo. I believe it just plonks you in a random area (with the alien, of course ) and gives you a time limit to carry out certain objectives. Will try to check it out soon. I've played through the Nostromo DLC now though and it's very short, but seriously sweet. Especially if you're a fan of the original film, which you obviously are.
  17. Been messing with photo mode tonight: Ridiculous... absolutely ridiculous. Visuals in this game are something else, I can't get my head around just how real it can look at times. :awesome:
  18. Yeah, definitely one of the most memorable moments of our MH3 hunting sessions. And so unlike Mokong, but I think he knew I was capturing and wanted to show off a little bit too much. I also remember the time a DevilJho got stuck on part of the terrain in the desert area for about a minute, and we were all like "what the hell?" Still annoyed that I wasn't capturing at the time. I was very much a SnS user on the Wii version of MH, but when Ultimate came out I decided to experiment more with the other types and somehow ended up primarily using the hammer.Looking forward to checking out the new weapons in MH4.
  19. Not sure, but I know I always wanted to do that super Brachydios quest to get the special healing hammer. That one was bloody impossible. Still got some vids of our hunts on my YT channel:
  20. I'll tell ya what boggles my mind... how in da hell has it not been discovered in Wii Music yet!? Cue @Wii with some kind of gag... I attempted to find it during my 100+ hours playing the game, but nada. It's got to be in there, what with it being Totaka's directorial debut.
  21. what'swrongwithyou?.gif
  22. All aboard!!!! Here's hopping for much bomb droppage. Audio You can't beat a bit of pre-Nintendo Direct hype.
  23. I did enjoy Mario Kart 8, yes. This game is rad, but not that rad.
  24. Oh yeah. Forgot about that.
  25. Dunno, but I ain't got Black Ops 2 (and have about as much desire to purchase it as you do to increase your electricity bill with the PS4's voice chat ).So yeah, how about we just use MH3U instead? Don't you want to know if I'll be sticking with the hammer? At least getting launched is potentially useful in this version.
