Yeah, I was just messing with the options before you guys joined and thought that would be interesting to try. That was also the first time I've ever enabled the auto handicap feature, it definitely helps level the playing field quite a bit. I really should have used that the other day when playing against @Sprout for over an hour. He probably still would've won every match, even if starting on 300% damage. -

I'm online now if you're still about. -
Some more GIFs from last night's matches... No idea what's happening to Captain Falcon here, but it's bloody hilarious!:
-
Rather than clog the online thread, I figure it's probably better to have a separate thread for posting any amusing GIFs or screenshots from the game. Here's a classic to get the Smash Ball rolling!:  That taunt just before impact... @Glen\-i, producing some comedy gold right there. And here's some I posted earlier in the online thread (for those that might not have seen 'em):

Was a good laugh, yeah. Hope to see you online more often. Yeah, there was definitely some lag when you joined us last night, not that I'm complaining, was very glad you showed up actually as it distracted Sprout. He'd literally been continuously kicking my arse for over an hour by that point. Indeed, he is the Professor Layton of Smash. Anyway, got some GIFs here of a few N-E Smash moments... This one was last night and really made me laugh uncontrollably for about 5 minutes (I'm easily entertained ), but it's just the way @Sprout (as Kirby) starts walking toward me (playing as Lemmy) with the charged up hammer attack, but then turns around when he realises I'm about to fire a cannonball!: Here's some mayhem from the other night on my custom stage, featuring Sprout, @f00had and @Mike: This was another funny moment in a 1 on 1 with Sprout (playing as Fox): See I can only win when he kills himself. And here's good old Waluigi (why is he not a playable character!? ) helping me out, once again against Sprout: And the conclusion to that match, where I had no idea what the hell was going on! : Dis game. : peace: Oh, and check out this screen from one of Sprout's custom stages!: I'm sure @Eenuh would like to see that. -
Wow @Wii, you actually managed to post that without making a derogatory comment, kudos.

Same thing happened to me a few times. It's best to just make sure you're always using a weapon that has the Rupees+ skill on it, try to forget about the grind and just play any stages that you haven't cleared yet. To level up any characters that were too high to level up in the dojo, but too low to complete their specific stage, I'd use the first stage on the reward map (the one where you have to choose an ally). That's a pretty good stage to grind for EXP. You just need to spend a few minutes defeating random goons, then choose Midna as your ally. By the time you do that, the rest of the "allies" will have pretty much no health left, meaning you can take them out super quick (sometimes with a single attack! ) and they each give a decent chunk of EXP. :awesome: By the way, have you been making use of the badges in the Bazaar? I was kind of ignoring them (other than for Link) as you also need to craft the same badges for every single character, but it turns out they can make all the difference for some of the crappier characters. A few times when I couldn't beat a character specific stage, I made some of the badges for them and would complete the stage on the following attempt! Maxing out the speed up weak point gauge, and capturing keeps badges is pretty much essential.

The flame surfaces in stage builder work differently to the danger zones that can instantly KO anyone over 100%, instead they just constantly inflict damage or launch anyone that touches them. I've got the CPU stuck inside that Smash Ball logo before, and it bounced around like a pinball until 999% before eventually being flung off the stage! Anyway, it's cool how you can use custom stages online, another nice way to mix things up a bit. Like this game needs anymore variety. -

Cool, I'm gonna head online in a sec. : peace: -
Yeah, it can be quite annoying at times. I just made as much use of the Training Dojo as possible, leveling most of the characters up to Lv.30-50 instantly. I like how you say only, to something that took absolutely ages to do. It is indeed. I remember not being particularly hyped when the game was first revealed, but it has turned out to be an incredibly enjoyable experience. And with the generous DLC, it just keeps on giving. If Tingle makes it as a playable character, I shall consider this game perfect.

Anyone Smashing online tonight? Or has the potential glitch of doom put people off? -
Not sure why it says complete, when I still have Skulltulas to find (not to mention quite a few heart containers) but yeah, progress at last. About 8,000 kills to go with the Master Sword before I unlock the skill. Ridiculous amount of content in this game. How's everyone else doing?

Check this out: Smash Bros. for Wii U errors! Deleting saves and bricking consoles! Worrying stuff.
-
Yep, and I'm on a much slower connection compared to you (just 20Mbps) and using Wi-Fi, but it's still pretty much spot-on.
-
Not really, it's supposed to be for the tracked delivery option only, which is something I've never used. Anyway, my Smash Edition controller just arrived! It's so weird holding a brand new GCN controller, I almost don't want to use it now... Ah nuts to that, *starts Smashing*
-
It does.If there's too much lag it automatically becomes a no contest, or in particularly bad cases it'll just disconnect and display an error message. The game could perhaps be quicker/better at detecting these situations, but maybe that's something they can tweak in the future. So far I've been very impressed with the online aspect. When you consider just how much stuff can be going on simultaneously in this game, it's pretty unbelievable how it can even run online. :awesome:

I got the same email, but for the GCN controller, which still hasn't shown up. Was thinking I'd treat myself to a another amiibo with that credit but they're all sold out!
