  1. Yeah, awesome game once you get into it. :awesome: The fact that momentum is pretty much automated means you can just concentrate on tricks and timing, which is great. I am increasingly worried about wearing out the left stick on my DS4 though. Developers missed a trick (LOL) by not mapping ollies to the D-Pad, or at least offering the option to recalibrate the controls. Mind you, that would've made inputting the trick commands more difficult, and I still can't get those double rotation tricks to work, even using the analog stick! Anyway, definitely recommend everyone on PS+ check this game out. : peace:
  2. For the Palicoes, yeah. They've been available since launch.Or are there ones for the player characters too? If so I have no idea, not seen 'em.
  3. Loving OlliOlli 2. Once you get to grips with the controls, it's a lot of fun. The visual style also reminds me of Tomena Sanner, which is cool. And some of the wipeouts are hilarious, as seen here when I jump off a ramp way too early:
  4. Just did my 3★ Gathering Hall urgent. HR 4 GET! But man, Dah'ren Mohran was so far away from the ship when I killed it (like right on the edge of the map) that I couldn't get all the damn carves! That'll teach me to be so awesome.
  5. Cheers guys. Will look into getting the hammer made up at some point, should be a good combo with Mega Dash Juice. Not looking forward to taking on Seregios again though.
  6. But I mean in general, the situation at Nintendo right now is simply atrocious. I don't understand how such a large and experienced company can get into this kind of state and seemingly do nothing (or just work at an incredibly slow pace) to try and turn things around. Days, weeks, months, hell even years go by... but the fans are still waiting, still disappointed, or worst of all for Nintendo, moving away from their products.
  7. I've given up wondering about that now, it's reached a point that's beyond ridiculous.
  8. I've got my White Cat Stamp upgraded to the Black Cat Hammer now (572 Attack, 300 Para, 25% Affinity) just 2 more upgrades to go. The maxed out version looks rad (1040 Attack, 400 Para, 30% Affinity). Even as it stands it's pretty awesome, and when you get a good rhythm going the combos are amazing. The other day I took out Great Jaggi in a single attack sequence: Standard combo > paralysis. Hammer to the head > KO. Even more hammering > paralysis again. Few more hits > dead. Poor little Jaggi couldn't move, call his mates, nothing. I know it's just Jaggi, but it's always hilarious. Anyway, these Seregios weapons that apparently sharpen themselves when you roll, how does it work exactly? Do you just need to roll once to fully increase sharpness, or is it a gradual thing? I recall the in-game text saying you wouldn't need to use whetstones with them, which seems pretty cool. :awesome:

  10. It really is. I was a bit skeptical of it before signing up, but the quality and variety of the games getting added every month is fantastic. It's also great how it covers multiple platforms. I'm almost tempted to get a PS Vita.
  11. Watched the trailer for it the other day, doesn't really seem like my kind of game, but I'll certainly check it out at some point.I take it you enjoyed it then?

  13. Beat Rogue Legacy today. Really entertaining game. PS+ is introducing me to some seriously great titles. Started playing OlliOlli 2 yesterday, which is also a lot of fun. Still got Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate on the go too, I'm up to 9★ on the offline quests now. Think 10★ is the last set of story quests, so should get that "finished" this month.

  17. Hehehe! So true. It always smells bad in those places. Once I had to leave as soon as I walked in, as it smelt like someone had literally just taken a dump in there.
  18. That's interesting. DoA 5 Ultimate was amazing on the PS3. Anyway, can't see myself picking up any of the games Hero-of-Time mentioned, at least not as soon as they're released. Still got Driveclub and some of the PS+ stuff to finish though. Speaking of which, I started Transistor the other day, but I'm not too keen on it, so that's been moved to the very bottom of the backlog pile. Rogue Legacy on the other hand (which I just started playing today) won me over instantly! Pure fun. So yeah, got plenty to play at the moment, but I do wish there were set release dates for The Tomorrow Children and Rime. Will be gutted if either of those don't make 2015.

  21. Impressive. :awesome: Unlike this : But I'm very happy with my pimped-out Palico, and my character's Afro/ridiculous armor. So there's nothing at all you can do to stay on the monster if someone else attacks it? That's pretty poo.
  22. Man, Capcom really upped their trolling in this version of MH with the expeditions. I mean the map is utterly useless in its expanded view, and zooming in doesn't help either as there's no indication of where you entered an area. That, combined with the random nature of the environments, makes for a horrible navigation experience. But far more annoying than that, is how large monsters flee after a certain amount of time/damage. So many times I've been really close to defeating a monster, only for it to bugger off! I like the concept of expeditions, but they have become so annoying now that I just wish free hunt mode was back. Anyway, I actually did a few more online hunts last night, which went better than the previous session. I think it's because 2 of the other players were using ranged weapons, meaning there was more room around the monsters for me and the other melee based hunter to attack. The hammer definitely works better in that kind of situation, and I was able to KO and break parts quite a bit as a result. :awesome: Noticed I kept getting chucked off the monsters when mounting though, despite holding on with the R button and only attacking when the icon was green. Is that because other players were attacking the monster while I was on it?

Lost, if you don't want to go with @Pestneb's idea, or if no one comes forward to take over the league completely (I certainly won't be, after the last time I tried it ) then just call it a day and close the thread. And that's coming from arguably the biggest Mario Kart fan on N-E, and probably the most active participant of the MK league over the years. : peace:
  24. Insane. It's also amusing how that was developed by From Software, aka the psychos behind Dark Souls. Speaking of awards, I can't believe how many there are in this version. Looking at the Guild Card there seems to be around six times the amount that were in 3U!
