Mario Kart 8 definitely does use analogue controls. You can totally adjust the amount you turn by when using the stick or motion controls, whereas with the D-Pad it just flicks straight to the maximum levels.

My top 10 for DS and 3DS retail games at the moment probably looks like this: NDS: Animal Crossing: Wild World Contra 4 Freshly-Picked Tingle's Rosy Rupeeland Jam with the Band Mario Kart DS nintendogs Rhythm Tengoku Gold Taiko no Tatsujin DS WarioWare: Do It Yourself WarioWare: Touched! With special mention to non-games, Electroplankton and KORG DS-10. 3DS: Animal Crossing: New Leaf Freakyforms Deluxe: Your Creations, Alive! Hatsune Miku: Project Mirai DX Kid Icarus: Uprising Mario Kart 7 Monster Hunter Generations nintendogs + cats Resident Evil Revelations Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds Tomodachi Life would be in there too, but again left that out due to it being less gamey. Anyway, yeah it's super hard to call. I guess the DS just about wins though... Its Rupeeland/Rhythm Tengoku/WarioWare combo is just too good. At the end of the day one thing is for certain, both DS and 3DS were pretty damn fantastic in terms of software! :awesome: If the NX ends up with a similar selection, I'll be very happy indeed.

I finally beat that boss! Well, with some help... Quite a lot of help actually. But yeah, glad to have made it. Especially as it revealed a couple of really awesome things:

Having spent quite a bit of time with the PS3/4 pads now, they're actually pretty good.Yeah, the original Nintendo D-Pad design is better and I obviously prefer it, but it's not as big a deal as it seems. Would be very weird to see Nintendo drop the traditional style though, we shall see... eventually.

Would be great if this is the case, as a share button is something I'd love to see on NX. It's by far my favourite feature of the PS4, and although I have a capture device anyway, it's so much more convenient having that functionality built in to the console itself. As for a split D-Pad, I suppose it'd be so it can easily be used as the face buttons for the other detachable controller when held sideways.

We might be having a big break if nobody takes over from The Mole. Damn, I completely forgot that was even possible. Will have a few more goes later on, and then try to summon help if I still can't beat him. I often managed to get to the point where his balls drop and he starts freaking out, but that's also when the increase in attack speed really messes with my stamina management. What stance do think is best for this particular fight, or do you actually switch during it? That's something I really can't get my head around in the heat of battle though, so prefer to just choose one and stick to it.

This game is amaaaaaaazing! Unfortunate then that I am so extraordinarily shit at it. Still can't beat the first boss. (Although at least I can reach him now! ) Team Ninja, please include a super easy mode for utterly incompetent samurai, so that I might be able to purchase and play through this wonderful game.

Revival - WarioWare D.I.Y. This may not count seeing as Game & Wario appears to be considered part of the WarioWare series (even though it probably shouldn't ) but anyway, a new WarioWare D.I.Y. would be amazing, especially if it were to be released for the launch of NX. A lot of games which focus on UGC tend to get released toward the end of a consoles lifespan, but if it was the other way around it'd obviously mean more content being produced for a longer period of time. Crossover - Wii Music x Jam with the Band An unpopular choice this no doubt. But anyone that actually spent some time with Wii Music (and that is also familiar with JWTB) will know just how awesome this combo could be. The biggest problem with Wii Music (despite what the gaming press would have you believe) was its limited track selection. Opening it up so that anyone can compose and upload songs for others to perform would make it infinitely replayable! Exclusive - Was going to go with Bayonetta 3, but for even better value for money decided to go with Monster Hunter 5. :awesome: Love it or hate it, MH has now established itself on Nintendo platforms, and it has become a pretty great asset for Nintendo. Not only does it provide something meaty for veteran gamers to get their teeth into, the recent additions have also made it more accessible than ever. Nintendo would be very wise to try and keep hold of MH for as long as possible.
