  1. Am I on your ignore list or something? Check out the vid on the 4th post in this thread... if you can see it.
  2. Crazy session. Here are the results: Just to let everyone know, the MK8 League highlight vids are going to be on hiatus for a while (perhaps indefinitely) so no need to suggest highlight moments anymore. Anyway, I hope everyone enjoyed the vids that Dcubed and I produced during the last part of the league, and those will of course remain on the N-E YouTube channel should you ever want to take a trip down MK league memory lane. : peace:
  3. Haruka has a baby in Yakuza 6!: Oh man, you just know there a going to be some great comedy moments with Kiryu and co. baby-sitting.
  4. I've always preferred ISS/PES to FIFA.Played the PES 2017 demo on PS4 recently and it's pretty damn amazing. :awesome: Will try the FIFA demo (providing it doesn't require EA's account bullshit) but I don't expect it to change what has been the trend for over 20 years now.
  5. *checks thread* Still no news, I see. But yeah, this is getting beyond a joke now. I mean Sony and Microsoft have done all their announcements/events for the year, right? What's stopping Nintendo at this point? If it wasn't for Miitomo/Pokémon GO, the Olympic closing ceremony and that segment at the Apple event, there could pretty much be zero current public awareness of the company at all!
  6. Agreed. Horrible change. Yeah, now this is a cool feature. Great choice of image on your one BTW. I went through my friends list yesterday, seeing who had jazzed up their profile.
  7. An official TTC app has been launched where you can practice the slide puzzles: https://itunes.apple.com/gb/app/tommorrow-children-app/id1145778219?mt=8 The missing panel on these puzzles is different to in the actual game though, which is a bit annoying.
  8. This week's theme: Seeing as it's low numbers at the moment we're going with triple 200cc/Frantic Mode to liven things up a bit. The IN! list: ■ = always IN! punio75 Brian58 RedShell Wii ? ? ? ? ? ? ? Who else is IN!? : peace: *EDIT* I'm hosting this week too, so be sure to add me if you're not on my friend list. Pretty sure I've got everyone that usually plays though.
  9. The Super Mario Run stickers for iMessage are now up on the App Store. Can't actually download them without being on iOS 10 though, which still isn't live yet in Europe by the looks of things.
  10. Unfortunate this has slipped to 2017. Looks like the golf course creation thing isn't happening either. Everything else seems pretty great though, love how you can drive around in the golf carts. Although I wish they'd stop using that atrocious song.
  11. I haven't.Will take a look at it though, cheers.
  12. So I picked up a game called Ninja Battle Heroes from the 3DS eShop a while back (was on sale for just over a quid ) as the trailer gave me Mystical Ninja/Goemon vibes. Warning! Loud vid is loud: Turns out it wasn't all that, but for the price I can't complain. There's actually some pretty nice gameplay mechanics to it, but the level design goes completely out of the window after the first few stages, where they literally bombard each stage with millions of respawning enemies, and you end up just running through them to reach the end. Next up is a biggie, The Tomorrow Children! Those that visit the other consoles section will probably know that I was looking forward to this just a little bit. Yeah, I've been dying for this game to come out, especially after playing through two beta tests. The finished product (though now featuring microtransactions and soon to be F2P) didn't disappoint. It is without doubt the weirdest, most striking and unique video game I've ever played! I wouldn't know where to begin trying to adequately describe it, but it really doesn't make a difference anyway as I believe it's something that simply has to be experienced in order to be "understood". The range of emotions this game can generate is phenomenal though. Over the past few days I've had the most amazing experiences, and it's provided numerous moments of joy, laughter, sadness, guilt, fear, tranquility, inspiration... the world of TTC and the other players which inhabit it can definitely take you by surprise. We all know gaming as a truly great form of escapism, but really getting into TTC has been like a goddamn out-of-body experience! Impossible for me to write about the game and not touch upon the presentation, its visuals are on another level compared to anything else out there. Obviously beauty is in the eye of the beholder and all that, but this for me is the best looking video game in existence at this moment in time. Those that are into the technical side of game graphics should check this out: The Technology Of The Tomorrow Children But yeah, the lighting systems that Q-Games developed for TTC are insane. :awesome: Have to also mention the music, such a perfect fit for the vibe of the game and incredibly well composed/performed: And finally, major respect going out to Dylan Cuthbert and his team at Q-Games. Mentioned this in the other thread, but it's so great how involved Dylan is with the fanbase on social media. I cannot wait to see how TTC continues to grow in the future, and very much look forward to whatever they have in the pipeline in terms of new projects.
  13. Guessing there will be Yakuza stuff shown, in which case I'm looking forward to it. Actually, I'd love to see more of the next Everybody's Golf game too. And I guess it's now or never for that Tokyo Jungle sequel rumour... Please be true.
  14. Yeah, I reckon this town will be restored soon (only around 50 to reach the population goal) but I won't be able to play again until later on today. I've done my bit though:
  15. Cool. I've not bothered relocating my house. I did it once (after my first restored town) but it costs 250 coupons to relocate, and I'm not so fussed about the voting for a leader aspect of the game. I'm now a drifting projection clone. *EDIT* Decided to relocate to Yelyatt after all, we're now neighbors, somme!
  16. @somme, I spotted you in "my" town a little while ago: Nice that it brings up a notification like that.
  17. So apparently the beta test costume codes have finaly been sent out, but I didn't receive an e-mail. If anyone that took part in the beta test (but isn't getting the game) gets a code for the costume, please send it my way.
  18. Fuuuuuuck! Captain Planet ain't gonna be happy about that. Energy suppliers on the other hand...
  19. *re-emerges from the void of The Tomorrow Children* ... *sees Super Mario Run* ... Man, that was quite a trip. Hahaha! Me, I definitely said they'd never do this. Anyway, I think the game looks pretty rad. Loving Mario's parkour style! :awesome: Hello, you must be new here.
  20. All of the islands which appear in the void only stay up for a limited time (can't say exactly how long, but it feels like 15-30 minutes) after that time has passed they dissolve away, but you're given ample warning to this. If you're on the island when it's about to disappear it'll start shaking as a warning, and from a distance it's possible to see a sphere of mist appearing over the island which also signifies it's about to go. The permit is given to your character upon completion of the tutorial, then you just need to select it once you arrive in a town (right on the D-Pad) and use the item with square. That brings up a hologram representation of the house, enabling you to freely move/rotate it before starting the construction. Additional inventory space can be obtained by purchasing with Freeman Dollars from an officer in the town, and by drinking a certain type of VoidKa. I've unlocked 3 extra slots so far, 2 with Freeman Dollars and 1 from VoidKa, but neither of those options are available to me anymore, so not sure about how to get that last one, perhaps it's tied to leveling up. As for the town hall, that's something that has to be constructed using the workbench, so if you can't find it in a town, it's probably because it hasn't been built yet. You should start to enjoy it the more you play, it really is one of those games where you need to spend quite a bit of time exploring and learning how everything works. It's confusing at first (intentionally so I believe) but once it all clicks it becomes a very addictive, rewarding and fun experience. I've played around 30 hours (between the beta tests and the final game) and am still learning new stuff pretty much every time I play! Like I only just found out that if you dismantle a building and then put its signpost into the bin, the bin will then spit out a load of the resources that were used to make that building in the first place, meaning you can recycle them. Having said that, the game is definitely an acquired taste. Personally I love it, but a lot of that is down to the setting and presentation. If the game had a very different art-style/vibe but the exact same gameplay, I really doubt I'd enjoy it as much as I do. In fact I'd probably just find it incredibly boring and tedious in those circumstances! My town reached the 500 population goal overnight! It was at 480-ish when I stopped playing, wanted to keep going, but physically couldn't. Saw the results (and received the rewards) this morning though, it's pretty cool what happens to the town once it's restored. On to the next one...
  21. You need to talk to one of the officers that patrol around the town. They often start talking to you automatically when you approach though (saying random stuff, like "get to work" ) in which case you need to move away and then walk back (which should bring up the circle button prompt) and initiate a conversation with them like that. A couple more pointers/observations: Talking to the officers frequently is actually a good idea anyway, as they often set you missions. Completing these missions rewards you with medals which can then be used to purchase Void-ka from the vending machines, which unlock a variety of perks. You also receive missions randomly over the radio. It's possible to jump off the bus before it arrives at the destination by pressing the cross button. This can save a few seconds both when reaching an island, and on the return journey to town. Just be sure to check the bus is over a solid part of the void before you do so, to avoid sinking to your doom! Speaking of the void, green crystal can actually solidify a section of it temporarily. While holding the crystal (and standing in a soft part of the void) press square to set the crystal into the void, it creates a circular area of hardened void around the crystal. Could be useful in an emergency situation.
  22. My guess is they want to fix the "praise" spamming thing that's been going on.Saw it happening in my town last night and decided to join in. Before I knew it I was level 19! The game was running at snails pace though, with so many people standing in the same spot and leveling up. I walked away at level 19, as that already takes me past where I got during the beta test, and I didn't want to mess with the natural progression of the game. Could see the party was going on for a while though, and I reckon quite a few people would've hit level 30 and got the gold trophy already. Here are some general tips for you and anyone else that might be interested. Be mindful of how you spend the "free" 1000 Freeman Dollars that come with the Founders Pack. I'd recommend spending them on stuff like the inventory slots ($300) and the Lv.1 vehicle license ($500) as those things are permanent improvements to your character. Keep an eye out on the ground around you for periodic drops of Freeman Dollars but also additional Toll (red fist symbols) and make sure to walk over them to collect. Push in the left stick on the controller to bring up the status of your town, that way you can quickly see what materials are in low supply and prioritise collecting those. When transporting items from the islands to the bus stop you can actually take more than the initial 3 which can be stored in the bag, by carrying something else in your hands and also kicking (triangle button) another item along the ground in the direction of the loading point. I wouldn't try that with the matryoshka dolls, as they can break, but everything else (metal, wood, crystal etc...) can be safely kicked and chucked around. When attacking the Izverg, try to aim for its head in order to get critical hits. Also, the head always contains a supply of crystal, so be sure to mine that area on a downed Izverg. You can also sometimes find various tools and matryoshka dolls inside other parts of the carcass. When exploring a dark area of the island you'll need a light source in order to survive. You can buy/pick up lamps and torches for this, but they can be taken by other players and also require use of a precious inventory slot. So, if you see one of the light emitting plants or mushrooms around, pick it up and press square to eat it. This will cause your character to emit the light (for about 5 minutes) meaning you can freely explore the darkness without worry. That's about all I can think of right now.
  23. There is also some additional content included with the Founders Pack, but yeah, pretty much. Guess it depends on the extent people want to support the devs/their desire to play the game right now. I'll be jumping in today for sure.
