It seems the Australian My Nintendo got different rewards to Europe recently, 20% of HarmoKnight and Pocket Card Jockey. @Hero\-of\-Time you've been waiting for a sale on HarmoKnight, haven't you? Weird we didn't get those rewards in Europe too, perhaps they'll be added soon though.

Uncover Forbidden Knowledge for Bayonetta 2’s Second Anniversary! Think I'm gonna try to replay this soon. Still have unfinished business...

Games with brilliant sound effects and sound design
RedShell replied to Dcubed's topic in General Gaming Discussion
Splatoon is a good recent example. The fact that they bothered to have varying splash sound effects (relative to the height of your dive into the ink) is impressive, and there are quite a lot of very subtle audio details like that throughout the game. Hehehe... I just remembered that she's chibi-Bayonetta in Smash. Looking forward to seeing the entire amiibo.

I don't consider myself to be at all picky when it comes to gaming. Obviously I have my favourites, but I also love trying out new stuff whenever I can. PS+ has been particularly great in that regard. Anyway, I reckon a lot of gamers have become way too picky. The obsession with reviews and stuff like Metacritic is a big part of that. I mean sure, check that stuff out, but don't let it be the primary influence of what you play! That gave me quite a chuckle too.

New trailers! Story: Gameplay: Goddam amazing! Fights inside the convenience stores look like so much fun.

Reading that reminded me of my experience with Xenoblade Chronicles X.

For sure. It's weird though, I mean the gameplay is essentially this: And it currently has quite a lot of connection issues/various bugs. But I just find it completely mesmerising and so damn addictive! Can't actually explain why either, it's as if it's appealing to me on a subconscious level.

A few pics I took recently: [tweet]777810657278365696[/tweet] [tweet]777811246984859648[/tweet] This new lighting tech just has to be used on other games too, it's unbelievably good.

Sorry, but this cat has retired from Monster Hunter too. I'll probably be around whenever new DLC arrives though.

A couple of interesting moments from last night... Almost getting killed by a missile: And whatever the hell is going on here: Even Dylan Cuthbert isn't sure: [tweet]776731411214503936 [/tweet] Anyway, latest patch is apparently up, with bug fixes, additional gear and some new islands! Can't wait to check it out.

Am I on your ignore list or something? Check out the vid on the 4th post in this thread... if you can see it.

Crazy session. Here are the results: Just to let everyone know, the MK8 League highlight vids are going to be on hiatus for a while (perhaps indefinitely) so no need to suggest highlight moments anymore. Anyway, I hope everyone enjoyed the vids that Dcubed and I produced during the last part of the league, and those will of course remain on the N-E YouTube channel should you ever want to take a trip down MK league memory lane. : peace:

Haruka has a baby in Yakuza 6!: Oh man, you just know there a going to be some great comedy moments with Kiryu and co. baby-sitting.

I've always preferred ISS/PES to FIFA.Played the PES 2017 demo on PS4 recently and it's pretty damn amazing. :awesome: Will try the FIFA demo (providing it doesn't require EA's account bullshit) but I don't expect it to change what has been the trend for over 20 years now.

*checks thread* Still no news, I see. But yeah, this is getting beyond a joke now. I mean Sony and Microsoft have done all their announcements/events for the year, right? What's stopping Nintendo at this point? If it wasn't for Miitomo/Pokémon GO, the Olympic closing ceremony and that segment at the Apple event, there could pretty much be zero current public awareness of the company at all!

Agreed. Horrible change. Yeah, now this is a cool feature. Great choice of image on your one BTW. I went through my friends list yesterday, seeing who had jazzed up their profile.

An official TTC app has been launched where you can practice the slide puzzles: https://itunes.apple.com/gb/app/tommorrow-children-app/id1145778219?mt=8 The missing panel on these puzzles is different to in the actual game though, which is a bit annoying.

This week's theme: Seeing as it's low numbers at the moment we're going with triple 200cc/Frantic Mode to liven things up a bit. The IN! list: ■ = always IN! punio75 Brian58 RedShell Wii ? ? ? ? ? ? ? Who else is IN!? : peace: *EDIT* I'm hosting this week too, so be sure to add me if you're not on my friend list. Pretty sure I've got everyone that usually plays though.

The Super Mario Run stickers for iMessage are now up on the App Store. Can't actually download them without being on iOS 10 though, which still isn't live yet in Europe by the looks of things.

Unfortunate this has slipped to 2017. Looks like the golf course creation thing isn't happening either. Everything else seems pretty great though, love how you can drive around in the golf carts. Although I wish they'd stop using that atrocious song.

I haven't.Will take a look at it though, cheers.

So I picked up a game called Ninja Battle Heroes from the 3DS eShop a while back (was on sale for just over a quid ) as the trailer gave me Mystical Ninja/Goemon vibes. Warning! Loud vid is loud: Turns out it wasn't all that, but for the price I can't complain. There's actually some pretty nice gameplay mechanics to it, but the level design goes completely out of the window after the first few stages, where they literally bombard each stage with millions of respawning enemies, and you end up just running through them to reach the end. Next up is a biggie, The Tomorrow Children! Those that visit the other consoles section will probably know that I was looking forward to this just a little bit. Yeah, I've been dying for this game to come out, especially after playing through two beta tests. The finished product (though now featuring microtransactions and soon to be F2P) didn't disappoint. It is without doubt the weirdest, most striking and unique video game I've ever played! I wouldn't know where to begin trying to adequately describe it, but it really doesn't make a difference anyway as I believe it's something that simply has to be experienced in order to be "understood". The range of emotions this game can generate is phenomenal though. Over the past few days I've had the most amazing experiences, and it's provided numerous moments of joy, laughter, sadness, guilt, fear, tranquility, inspiration... the world of TTC and the other players which inhabit it can definitely take you by surprise. We all know gaming as a truly great form of escapism, but really getting into TTC has been like a goddamn out-of-body experience! Impossible for me to write about the game and not touch upon the presentation, its visuals are on another level compared to anything else out there. Obviously beauty is in the eye of the beholder and all that, but this for me is the best looking video game in existence at this moment in time. Those that are into the technical side of game graphics should check this out: The Technology Of The Tomorrow Children But yeah, the lighting systems that Q-Games developed for TTC are insane. :awesome: Have to also mention the music, such a perfect fit for the vibe of the game and incredibly well composed/performed: And finally, major respect going out to Dylan Cuthbert and his team at Q-Games. Mentioned this in the other thread, but it's so great how involved Dylan is with the fanbase on social media. I cannot wait to see how TTC continues to grow in the future, and very much look forward to whatever they have in the pipeline in terms of new projects.
