So, couldn't resist. I've preordered Pokémon White (White because it has the cooler Pokémon on the cover).
-
Well, this counts as classic platformer like NSMBWii so I don't think it will broaden her horizon much further. However, go look for the 3D-platformers like Super Mario Galaxy. That might do the trick.

So you don't need two DS' to transfer?
-
I did this yesterday and it gives you the "Mystery Gift" menu: http://www.serebii.net/heartgoldsoulsilver/mysterygift.shtml Edit: Nevermind, it seems to already be there in HG/SS unlike my Diamond.

Not quite what I meant. But I think the answer is yes, in one game you can get all three dogs and not just one of them. Cool, just got my DS online again. I have moved and got a new wireless router with WPA-security, which the DS does not support. Just had to dig my old LAN-cable forth and set my computer up as a router and now it works so I may receive the dogs. Yay!

About the legendary dogs-event; do you get all three of them, or do you have to choose one?

I'm at the Archives-level now, just completed it. It was awesome as well! I really enjoy this game, even though I play it on a too hard difficulty for my skills (007, I think). I die a lot especially one levels with big, open spaces where enemies hide. It took me ages completing the Russian outdoors stage, the bit before going into the bunker. After several tries I discovered a silenced sniper which helped me A LOT! Finally did that level then. Bunker was hard too in the beginning but sneaking around is nearly always the better option. And it's fun! I haven't really played any multiplayer on this game but I like the little online I've played. The local is rather boring, though. I've played it against a friend and we were heavily disappointed with the "no bots"-thing. Going 1vs1 is rather boring after 5 minutes.

He might be turning his head to the right (his) and hence we only see the back of the mask.

I actually like the "new" costume, because, yes, it reminds me of the cooler Ben Reilly version. Also, I liked the Scarlet Spider-costume: Maybe it's because of the utility belt...

There is one serious flaw with this game: I CAN ONLY PLAY IT IN DANISH!? Why can't I even choose to play it in English? It ruins it quite a lot for me, actually. Other than that, I find myself a little bored when I play it. It's too easy and the camera is too slow to turn. Also, Mickey doesn't control very well but it's okay. I'm about an hour in, btw, so I hope it'll get better.

That seems like it isn't worth the trouble at all. Haha! Yeah, I remember those days too; God knows how many hours I've spent trying to get the Triforce in Ocarina of Time! There was a rumour that you had to circle a butterfly with a stick ten times on a certain place outside Zelda's castle.
-
There is also a rumour going around that you can play as Diddy Kong in singleplayer if you get 200 %, is that true too then? Haven't found it on Gamefaqs.

Here, it shines!

I don't particularly hate the waggling as it actually works pretty well, and when it doesn't work it's because you are not moving DK enough - he hasn't gained momentum. That has killed me a fair few times but I wouldn't blame that on the waggle. On time trials, though, after long session I found that my wrists hurt because of it. However, I don't understand why they have left the B-button untouched outside menues. Is it too hard to first press B and then A to jump? I fully agree on the run-thing, though; there is no need for a run-button when using analogue stick and that is the proper use of it. Besides, I have not even once caught myself walking in the game so I don't think it would be a catastrophe (to me at least) to assign running to the d-pad alone.

I defeated the final boss yesterday and I must say:

What are the DSi-specific features?

Has anyone tried the DS-version? Just got it as a Christmas present (even though I wished for the Wii-version) but should I be happy with it or go swap it to the Wii-version?

[SPOILERS!!] The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword
MindFreak replied to Dante's topic in Nintendo Gaming
Didn't Nintendo state that the game was nearly finished and they then decided on going for a different art style which they were applying around E3? To me it sounds like it has gone through some more changes if it is now only 50 % finished. I don't think it will come out in Q1, maybe late Q2. -
I hate the rocket levels! Gladly, I have just finished Hot Rocket (8-2) and I hope that was the last one.
-
Yeah, I also got to the Bounce 'n' Blast-temple and it was a devil! But I did it without Diddy and with full hearts left; I was so thrilled! The main reason for my dying was that the super bounce failed at times.

I have just completed the Bombs Away level in World 4, however, I only got the K-letter and a couple of jigsaw pieces; that level is going to be a pain to get everything in! Also, had a go on multiplayer in this for a couple of hours, and I am not that impressed. I prefer to play this alone. Mostly because we went from 66 lives to 0 in a matter of minutes; it's rather unfair that if you die and don't come back and the other person still alive also dies, two lives are lost, even though the first player didn't come back; that is three lives lost at a time. Luckily, lives aren't that hard to come across but that still semms rather unfair to me. But the game simply wasn't as fun and chaotic as NSMBWii (which in co-op wasn't even that fun - Coin Mode was and is all that mattered/matters).

Wow that's an insane unlockable! This game is like Mario Kart with all the time attack and now that. Hah. This is nice. Looking forward to getting back the game later this afternoon; I just have to write on my BSc thesis and walk through the snow to get the Toy Story 3 blu-ray.

My wrist hurts! I have been trying to get gold on level 1-3 for over an hour now, just can't nail it! My best time is 56 sec and the gold is at 54 sec. I know where I make my fatal errors but I just can't avoid them - the place with the two vertically jumping frogs and those three birds is just killing me, litterally! Now I've put the game down. I, too, wish they would have assigned roll to a button, mainly because it's not always as responsive as one could hope, but secondly because those damn waggles hurt my wrists. The music is great, though, and the Temple Stage on World 1 was absolutely fantastic to play! Lost a good deal of lives there but what a level! Phew. Can see this game going down to be one of my most played games right next to Brawl; time attack is addicting.

Nah, I like the challenge even though I die a lot. Makes it more fun.

I have just played through the first level and I couldn't find all puzzle pieces, and I think I looked pretty much about everywhere but apparently not. Couldn't play any more, though, as my girl friend wanted to watch Beverly Hills (for the nth time). Is it just me, or does Donkey Kong float rather much when jumping? I had trouble landing on one of the first blue destroyable blocks, simply because when I jumped straight up and tilted the control stick a little (nunchuck), he jumped over it. Maybe I just have to get used to it but I found it a little weird.
