I look very much forward to this, and I will buy it on release even though I have Zelda at that time. However, I shall be buying the Xbox-version; the controller's just better than the Wii-mote sideways.

She actually likes it so it's not by force.

I think it looks fun. Also, my girlfriend has never been god at Mario-games but enjoyed them nonetheless, so I hope the general slowness of the game might be a good thing for her. (Yes, I'm trying to turn her into somewhat of a gamer; making her watch Big Bang Theory and watching me play game actually works.)

They should make the next Spider-man-game more like Mirror's Edge in terms of gameplay. Like what we saw from the first (are there more?) trailer for the movie.

Gamereactor's review: http://www.gamereactor.eu/reviews/9076/Batman:+Arkham+City/ Isn't it a bit early for reviews to tick in? It's still a week away, most reviews don't turn up before one or two days prior to launch.

It looks awesome. Bar one thing: 0.54 - I don't want there to be ANY romantic subplot in this movie. Lately I've noticed how every film must have some sort of romantic subplot. It nearly ruined Thor for me.

[SPOILERS!!] The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword
MindFreak replied to Dante's topic in Nintendo Gaming
Impressions of the first three hours are found here: http://www.gamereactor.eu/previews/9031/Skyward+Sword:+the+first+three+hours/ I don't want to read it to avoid spoilers. Or well, I DO want to read it. Badly. But I mustn't. Just thought I'd post it here for you guys to read and drool over. -
I watched it and I don't think it spoiled anything about the game. Only mildly about the settings of the game, you know
-
Get Outland, that is awesome!

I don't like the music in that video!

So, I bought DeathSpank the other day and having played it for a couple of hours without unlocking any achievements, I wondered a bit. It seems that my game is glitched so it won't unlock any achievements at all. When I started the game, the Saving-icon wouldn't go away and when I exited the game, my Xbox froze. Have any of you heard of this before, or does anyone know what to do? Edit: It seems to work again if I start a new game but only in the new game. But I have already spent some hours on the game so I don't want to do that for so little.

That is some awesome boxart. But sadly I'll also be postponing this game till Christmas. It doesn't stand a chance at getting my attention away from Zelda: SS. Though I could get it for my girl friend so she has something to do while I play Zelda....
-
To be honest, I think it looks a bit dull. I know it probably won't be at all and fun to play, and I will end up getting it nonetheless, but it looks slow and easy and not-so-interesting. Hopefully, reviews will tell me otherwise.

If I don't like this game, it'll be my last Sonic-game ever. Didn't really like Sonic the Hedgehog 4 but this looks rather good. Especially the Old Sonic-parts.

Why don't you just hook your MacBook up to your TV? I have a DVI-HDMI-cable for just that and it works like a charm. That would certainly undermine any comfortability argument you can come up with (if you have a TV that is).
-
Yes, exactly. But I don't think they are - I just happen to enjoy bouncing the websites. Sadly for me... Edit: Also annoying about Lion: If you untick so that Lion doesn't restore your previous applications upon rebooting the computer, it also doesn't remember how your desktop icons were arranged. I have some on the right side and some on the left side but when I rebooted all my icons where on the right side together. Furthermore, I can't make é (or any other letter with a ´ over it) on Facebook.
-
For instance, if you scroll all the way down on a website and then try to scroll again there is some sort of "rubber band" holding the website. You see a grey bar and it seems that the website is bouncing. (In Safari at least.)
-
I've found some weird choices in Lion so far that seem like a step down. For instance, when closing an application like Excel with a document open, it saves that document so that next time you open Excel it also opens that particular document even though you opened another. Then they both just open and that is rather annoying. Furthermore, my older MacBook Pro's touchpad is not nearly big enough for the gestures. Also, my computer seems a bit slower and gets warmer - that might just be the weather, though. As I mentioned before, iCal closes when you close the window and move over to e.g. Safari. That is weird. I do like the bouncing websites, though. That is fun. Overall, I was more pleased with Snow Leopard but not angry enough with Lion that I want to go back. I guess it'll be better with some software updates.

So... I bought it. Found the Aqua Blue one for a good price (£161) so I'll probably get it tomorrow.
-
Oh, I hate this. The price cut is tempting me greatly and one of my friends bit the dust and bought it so now he's mocking me. He says I'm not a true Nintendo fan since I haven't bought the 3DS yet. Problem is, I have the money for it but time's limited. I have 8-10 Xbox360-games I have yet to play and with university work starting again in September, I don't think I have the time. But it's soooo tempting! 20 free games, OoT3D, SM3DL, MK7 (even though I don't really like the gliders and "submarines"), and all the other great Nintendo-games coming out. The best of it all is that a shop in Denmark sells it for the equivalent of £199 (which is cheap in Denmark!) and they have a price drop guarantee, which means that if the price gets cut within a fortnight, one would get the difference back. So that's 20 free games for the price of nought! Edit: Actually, I found it even cheaper now. £172 but with no price drop guarantee. But then I have my old DSLite that I can trade in for OoT3D. Argh!

Yeah, Super Mario 3D Land sounds really weird. Easy to see that they want to avoid confusing it with a 3D version of SML but it's still off in some way. Other than that it looks great. Could easily convince me to buy a 3DS.
-
I finished it today. I would say that I've spent about 11 hours on it. Tops. Great game.
-
Probably because it's cold outside so there's no excuse not to play the game?
-
Yeah, 1200 MSPoints is a bit steep for some of the games. But then again, full games are more often than not 60€ and they are not always as good as the Live Games, I have bought and played. So actually, I find the price okay but it definitely could do with a lowering. Speaking of Bastion, bought it yesterday and played it today (along with Splosion Man). Great fun, the deterministic storyteller is really fun and innovative.
