Binding of Isaac: Afterbirth+ has been announced for September 14th in France by justforgames. Likely that's the same date we get it in the rest of Europe as well.

I expected that trailer to be completely crap but I actually laughed a couple of times. Seems like they updated the premise a bit from the old 90s-movie. May watch it once it hits Netflix.

The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild Wii U / Switch

Is the Trial of the Sword worth getting the DLC for now or should I just wait for Pack 2? Anyone completed it yet? -
I got contacted on LinkedIn last week by a manager in my organisation that had found me and wanted me to join a very important project. I went to an informal coffee meeting with him Monday and it's really interesting. Rather than using PL/1 and Cobol, working with older colleagues and such, I would enter a more modern IT development environment with younger people, C# as a programming language, and the job would in a higher degree utilize my competences within mathematics and software engineering than my current position. Careerwise it would be stupid not to apply for this job so I've decided to do that even though it might mean periods with more hours which is bad timing as I'm about to get my first child within a month or so. So now it's all about keeping this secret to my current manager - I have a meeting with her in a week to find out what to do with me in the future!

So finished my studies today with a nice grade and a new title of professional master in software engineering. Also got promoted to Senior Software Engineer from July 1st though that basically only means more responsibility as I already got the most of the pay-raise that was going along with the title. Now for that talk with my boss about career path and what I want to do with my professional life... that's a hard one!

I read and finished Crisis on Infinite Earths last week. What a story! That was massive, it was well-written and not that confusing - though some things could have been explained a bit better - and it was sad. It is very obvious from reading stuff that came after this that it really had an effect on the entire DC Universe and I feel that it is an important book to read. Now on to Infinite Crisis and Final Crisis, though I'm unsure whether they are actually part of the same story. They should be done by next week and then I'll read Injustice Year 1 and 2.

Radiant Historia Remake Announced (3DS)

Sneaky reveal! Can it be trusted? Atlus hasn't confirmed it, I think. -
Radiant Historia Remake Announced (3DS)
MindFreak replied to Hero-of-Time's topic in Nintendo Gaming
Do you have a source? Last time I checked this was only announced for North America but it may have gone by me. The video is called "Radiant Historia: Perfect Chronology (3DS) - Teaser Trailer (North America)" so doesn't apply to Europe. -
Ooooh. I get it!

Pokémon Shuffle 2! Yay!

It was quite good as entertainment. Not great film art but it wasn't necessary for it.

Famitsu has some details on the game: From Gematsu.

Supposedly leaked pics from Smash Bros Switch: From 4Chan so take it with a spoon of salt.

When rowing that is always true. But if you refer to the times, I think you need to do the math again. :P

2 km row 7:09. Quite pleased as my fastest 1 km row is 3:27. Apparently, sprint row is not really my thing.

I wrote this two years ago. Now, I have one week left before I have to hand in my master thesis and am almost done with it. I have an oral exam on June 8th and will after this point in time have not one but two masters. In connection with this I got a pay raise of about 7 % which is quite alright, and also got promoted to Senior Software Engineer. Now I just hope that I can put my skills to good use or that some cool company wants to headhunt me. ^^ Also, regarding the children: Such foresight! My wife is giving birth in two months to our first child. In the meantime, we also got married (had first anniversary last Sunday). So yeah.

I'd forgotten how nice it is to squat. It's been a while since I last did backsquats as I haven't been doing weights sessions for the past half a year or so - mainly going to classes that also had some weights in it. So I was pleasantly surprised when I actually managed to do 86 kg on backsquat for five reps the other day (did 5x5: 70-80-80-80-86) which apparently is a new record for 5 reps according to FitNotes which I've been updating since January 2016. I think I could have done 90 kg as well if it wasn't for my fear of the enxt part of the workout: every 6 minutes for four rounds we did 400 m rowing and 400 m running and then break until the next 6 minutes started. Did all rounds at about 3 minutes each.

Has XX even come out in Europe yet? Is this releasing over here?

Launch trailer: Still no news of the Switch-version, sadly.

I booked tickets for this on Thursday - I was litterally the only one to have done so in one of the more popular cinemas in town - and at a good time of the day (6:40 PM). I'm really looking forward to it, it looks good, though one of the best movie ever? Not a chance.

This is out now, and an English trailer has been released: I've tried it for 15 minutes or so and beated the first league. Seems like a good time-waster but it's too random with too little to do for the player. The game basically plays itself once booted. It feels more like a Tamogotchi with Magikarp.

Oh yeah. Had to build a serious lead on the other tracks to win that one... Always ended up beside the road on the last turn before goal but got lucky in the end and only fell to third place or something similar. I finally got all gold on 200cc. Never going to bother with that mode again, it's terrible... But now Time Trials feel SO slow compared to 200cc.
