If my experience with BotW is anything to go by, then upgrading armour is the way to survive. I imagine that'll be the same here.

The first part of the free DLC promised on the Kickstarter is available now. A 2D analogue run 'n gun, eh? Interesting. Might give it a go if @Dcubed did buy the remaster. The second part is available May 26th.

Welp, so much for that then! This is starting to get beyond a joke at this point! Apparently, the latest event raids in the actual game have been pulled as well. So, this week has just been going to the pits for this game.

Yeah, the jump to HD has kinda catapulted Mortal Kombat from peak 90's cheesy and edgy-ness to just plain uncomfortable.

What's there to not understand? I paid for BotW, and disliked it immensely. There's a very good reason I'm the only person here who hasn't got TotK.

Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack: N64 & SEGA Mega Drive (& GBA!!)
Glen-i replied to Julius's topic in Nintendo Gaming
Let's face it, the last thing Golden Sun needs is to be put on the service during the month where no-one is going to notice it. -
You say that knowing full well I paid for the game, and deemed it unacceptable, right?

Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack: N64 & SEGA Mega Drive (& GBA!!)

I mean, I guess Luigi physics in Mario World is a novel way to play it, but still... But hey, A Link to the Past GBA has a pretty good chance now, and that one is actually worth putting on NSO. -
Real talk, the BotW Great Fairies are probably my favourite iterations of them, and that only got elevated when you got to actually play as them in Age of Calamity!
-
Ah, stuff 'em if they can't be bothered! EDIT: One moment from me. Mario Kartma is totally real and does not appreciate certain things.

I saw my friend list was really jumping before opening the room tonight and got quite a bit hopeful that it would be a pretty full room. But then I actually looked at it to see who was playing Mario Kart, and, well, yeah... Thanks to those of you who actually bared the agony of putting aside an hour tonight. It must have been hell, I'm sure.

Don't look at me, Metroid Prime is the easy answer for this. And quite frankly, I'm gonna use this opportunity to shill a game I love. Awwww yeah! That's the good shiz! Wonder Boy: The Dragon's Trap, for your info, is a remake of an old Master System game, redone to astonishingly high standard with a drop dead gorgeous hand drawn style. I'm not joking when I say it's one of the best looking games on the Switch. There's a gallery that adds various pieces of concept art, concept animations, and even footage of audio recordings as you play the game. It's very in depth, and I'm a sucker for these kind of things. Piranha Man and Wonder Boy looking completely wrong there Some pages providing the Master System sprites and some different designs for the hand drawn versions. Wonder Boy designs that were never to be. The mad thing about the last two pictures is that it doesn't look far off from the final product. That's how good this game looks and it's something you don't see in a lot of concept art. Here's an actual screenshot of the finished product.

I'm gonna guess that it's a "Metroid Zero Mission style" take on the first game. General setting will be the same, but production values will be far higher then back then.

There's a really lovable charm about the Pokémon Stadium announcer. Must have absolutely killed the cartridge space, I mean literally "TAKEN DOWN ON THE WORD GO!" -
Yes. Pretty much. As long as the Pokemon's level is higher then when it can normally learn a move, you can relearn it.
-
Move relearning has been a thing since Ruby and Sapphire. It lets you relearn moves that a Pokémon naturally learns through levelling up. I imagine it works a lot like that. The weird thing is that since Sword and Shield, some moves have been removed from various Pokémon (Toxic being the most notable one). Nicked from @Serebii's site. So using the Greninja I have back in Ultra Sun as an example, it would only to be able to relearn any moves that it can learn from Scarlet/Violet, as that's the only mainline Switch game where Greninja can be used, but some moves it could learn in the 3DS games will be gone.

The first Chrono Pack is available now. 6 songs from Chrono Trigger, and 1 from Chrono Cross. The majority of these were in Curtain Call, except for "Wings That Cross Time". And anything Chrono Cross is new to Theatrhythm. There's still a few songs from Chrono Trigger missing that were in Curtain Call, but there's a second pack in the future, so we'll likely fill out the rest then. Anyway, you don't need me to tell you this is a good pack. It's freaking Chrono Trigger!

Pokémon HOME support is finally happening. It'll be available on the 24th of May. Also... That's a very cool feature. Maybe when I can finally transfer my shiny Greninja from my 3DS, I'll just go and blitz through Scarlet.

Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack: N64 & SEGA Mega Drive (& GBA!!)

But that's the thing! The strongest bug move in the game is Twineedle. A Beedrill exclusive move that's only 50 Power (25 X 2). Beedrill utterly blows and is weak against Psychic anyway, so there's no real threat there. And Gengar? Hah, what a joke! The only ghost move in Gen 1 is Night Shade, which is fixed damage, so ignores type matchups. And again, Gengar is weak to Psychic. Psychic types have no real counter in Gen 1. A great Pokémon Stadium team if you had Transfer Pak support was to just bunch 6 Psychic types together. Barely anything can get through that. -

All debuffs, and 1 stage buff moves are never worth the hassle. This is true of every Pokémon game. Now 2 stage buff moves like Swords Dance? They're worth considering. Rental Pokémon suck though, and can never pull that off. Amnesia is worth noting, because in Gen 1, the Special stat covers both special attack and special defense. Which means Amnesia is effectively a 4 stage buff move! There's a reason Psychic Pokémon are OP in Gen 1. ... OK, there's lots of reasons, but that's one of them. -
You're almost spot on there, but the item frequency is set to low, not normal. Everything else is correct, but whoever is hosting, it would be wise to go into Smash and create the ruleset before hand, so you're not doing it all last minute.
-
Just a heads up. Real life commitments mean I won't be able to Smash this week. I suppose I'll get my chance... another day...

Bloody hell! We have a pinned post feature on this forum!?

Oh right, I forgot. (Typing stuff up after midnight is a good idea, shut up!) There is one more thing that Star Allies has that's intriguing. Before the main fight with Hyness, he gives a speech that mostly serves to establish who he is, but the majority of it is a mad rant that automatically scrolls by too fast to actually read. Of course, naturally, someone slowed it down. And it does have some interesting tidbits. I'm not typing it all, because it's quite long, so here's the video. Now, this does come from Hyness's own mouth instead of the all glorious special screen (Glory to the Kirby Special Screen!), so there might be some bias on his part. He is the villain, after all. But I'm going to assume that there is at least some truth to this. What stands out to me the most is the mention of "those who were in such fear of our power". No idea who that could be, but definitely worth keeping it in mind.
