He just quit! Yes, really. Just broke, will edit in an article shortly. EDIT: Here you go. Naturally, he's claiming he's not at fault. He's clearly lying.

Welp, so much for that dream. Co-op is local multiplayer only.

Me again, eh? Guess I'm the only one finishing games, huh? How's that ridiculously massive open world treating you lot? Why is Raven (Bottom right) so white in this picture? That's iffy as hell, and it rubs me the wrong way. Tales of Vesperia: Definitive Edition is an expanded port of an action RPG that originally released for the XBox 360 in 2009. The definitive edition was released on various consoles in 2019. The game follows Yuri Lowell, a former knight living his life in the slums of Zaphias. The water source there busts a pipe and leaks water everywhere, eventually sending Yuri, and his faithful canine companion, and best character in the game, Repede, on a journey to find the person who stole the part that keeps the water flowing properly. It's an RPG, so naturally, things soon escalate. Boy, do I have some issues with this plot... I'm not kidding when I say the dog is the best character. Tales of Vesperia plays like a typical RPG, except that the battles take place in real time, with a control scheme somewhat similar to a fighting game. Different characters have different strengths and weaknesses, although you'll likely just play as Yuri, because he's far and away better then mostly everyone else. Considering that this game supports multiplayer, I can imagine all sorts of arguments over who gets lumped with Estelle, but that's part of the fun. The gameplay is solid, it's fun figuring out the best way to string together different attacks into combos as you progress, and the game has a cool system where you can gain different passive benefits from weapons you find. Yeah, it's ripping off that system from Final Fantasy IX, but that's fine. You shouldn't crush Eagles, they're endangered. The game runs smoothly on Switch. 60 FPS throughout. I mean, it's an XBox 360 game, so you'd think that would be a given, but after the shambolic state of the Tales of Symphonia port, this seems like a miracle port in comparison. That said, the sound mixing is all over the place. Some voices are at a very low volume compared to others in the very same scene, there are typos and incorrect dialogue throughout. It looks really sloppy. Still, it's not a bad game. I enjoyed it, but it's not as good as the other two Tales of games I played.

Looks like more FF7 Remake, and that's fine by me. I was pleasantly surprised by the first game. My only real complaints were the hilarious amount of detours Cloud had to make (Stretching the 10 hour Midgar section over an entire game will do that), and Red XIII not being playable, which was an utter travesty. I just hope the overworld traversal is not open world, please take cues from Xenoblade, because that strikes the perfect balance in my eyes. Do that, and it'll no doubt be a hit with me.

Honestly? The Metroidvania approach is a good idea for Prince of Persia. It could totally work.

It's a promising reveal, here's hoping they get the physics right. If the co-op is online, I'd be up for playing through it with others.

The second Chrono Pack is out now. 5 more Chrono Trigger songs, 2 of which weren't in Theatrhythm Curtain Call, and 1 more Chrono Cross song. "Frog's Theme" and "Wind Scene" are in this pack, which are two of my favourite songs from the game! Yeah, they were in Curtain Call, so no surprise there. What is a nice surprise is "To Far Away Times" being the full version. It's one of the greatest credit roll songs in gaming history (Yes, better then Mario 64, I said it), and I'm glad it gets the full shabang here. Only makes me wonder why Calling got cut even more. Anyway, "Scars of Time" from Chrono Cross is also a fantastic choice. Another great pack, but again... Chrono Trigger music.

A reminder to you lot that there's a theme night tonight, refer to 2 posts ago to see.

TMNT: Shredder's Revenge (Switch, PS4, Xbox, PC)
Glen-i replied to Hero-of-Time's topic in Nintendo Gaming
Yeah, there's defo at least 1 more. They kept Casey secret until launch, so I imagine a similar unlockable thing going on here. -
Didn't he literally steal food from a certain trio of space explorers and leave them to starve?

Nintendo Switch Online: Game Boy / Game Boy Color
Glen-i replied to Julius's topic in Nintendo Gaming
Oh, that's great news! I've never played Tilt N Tumble, despite @Dcubed having access to it. Perfect opportunity, and a good sign for WarioWare Twisted. -
Not gonna lie, I feel a little dirty for my despicable Bowsercide on Mushroom Kingdom 2. I just couldn't resist the stock advantage... Sorry, @Ike. The stage was too perfect for it.

Pokémon HOME now supports compatability with these games. You can get the Paldean starters with their hidden abilities if you deposit a Pokémon from Sca/Vi. But I wouldn't. I'll give it two weeks of keeping my eye on Serebii's newsfeed before committing to the transfer. Just to be safe. There's no deadline for those starters, so no need to rush.

Stock matches tonight at 8pm.

SGDQ is ongoing. Pokémon Colosseum race about to start once Metroid Prime Remastered is done. The Four Swords GBA run (first time at GDQ, that game) was fun, in that it is completely inaccurate to how the game is normally played. Trust me, if that comes to the NSO app, it won't be that cooperative.

I can't help but think of Advance Wars: Reboot Camp when I read the bolded. I don't agree in that regard. If the game is pretty much done, then it's a bit of a waste to just not release it, just because it might be a bit rubbish. Sure, you'll get some online personalities pointing and laughing, but after TotK only recently coming out, it'll soon be forgotten and people will move on, and Ninty will have made a few bob from this.

Vanpool have shut down. Thanks to @markderoos for providing the link. Unlike Alphadream, this one is quite surprising, as they helped HAL with Kirby and the Forgotten Land, as well as Returns to Dream Land Deluxe. They also worked on Paper Mario: Origami King. Those games didn't exactly flop, so I'm baffled as to what happened. It really bums me out in particular though, because they made Dillon's Rolling Western, which means they single handedly gave us the best Nintendo character designs in the past decade. (Don't argue, it's true, I defy anyone to prove me wrong) I hope HAL or Nintendo absorb some of the staff, it'd be a shame to let them go to waste. And Dillon needs a Switch game still. Dead Heat Breakers was getting the series to hit it's stride. It can't end there.

I mean, if that article is accurate, Ninty probably want to just get it out there and over with.
-
Huh... It's actually coming out then? Didn't see that coming. EDIT: Apparently, you can use smart devices instead of Joy-Cons, going by the PR? Ninty, I like you and your weirdness, but you're stepping up to Jackbox Games here, and I don't think that's a fight you can win. DOUBLE EDIT AFTER JULIUS'S EDIT: Oh, so the article does mention Jackbox as the inspiration. That's brave.

Right, next week will be a theme night, so I'm getting the graphic out there now. Theme Night: Thursday 8th June You know, off roading sucks. We're sticking to tarmac, and with tarmac comes a great opportunity to go really fast.
-
Watch them ditch Smart Steering now... Congrats, dude. Hope your sleeping isn't too horrendous. Player's Choice tonight, because I spaced on it being the first week of the month. 8pm. Theme night next week.

I really hope The Switch Effect kicks this into high gear. It really deserves it. Either way, I've not played it since the first time I played it on the DS, so I'm defo donating to the "Ghost Trick needs sales" charity.

Ooh fun! Stuff before me being here! I always like it when really old stuff gets dredged up.

Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack: N64 & SEGA Mega Drive (& GBA!!)
Glen-i replied to Julius's topic in Nintendo Gaming
Yeah, it's a neccesity for the unlit and very dark GBA. Put it on a lit screen, and it looks very un-nice. Needs must, I'm afraid... -
For those of you looking in, let it be known that this man, is pure evil. He's referring to what he did at 24:37 in the stream above. And what he did was nothing short of heinous!
