N-E Online Mario Parties (Week 27 - Waluigi's Island - MP3)
Glen-i replied to Glen-i's topic in Nintendo Gaming
Just a heads up that the NSO room will open soon for @BowserBasher and @S.C.G -
Fourth track, I meant. Hurry up and get in!
-
That'll be the fourth one. Don't forget to follow the schedule.
-
Room's open now.
-
I wish. My powers of forced character and vehicle selection were vetoed at the start of this thread...
-
Yeah, just press L or R on the course select screen and it'll take you there.
-
That's the beauty of it. If one person in the room has the booster pass, anyone can select the tracks! So go right ahead.

N-E Online Mario Parties (Week 27 - Waluigi's Island - MP3)

Bowser Land Guys! It was Bowser all along! What a shocking twist! Mario Party 2's final board is here and much like the Bowser themed one from the first game, can be pretty rough. The various structures function differently then what we're used to. The Bank works in reverse, giving you 5 coins whenever you pass the bank space. Sweet! Huh? What happens if you land on the bank space? Uhhh... Best not land on the bank space, trust me on this. The Item Shop at the top right kinda blows, you're forced to buy an item at a marked up price, even if you don't want it. Think carefully before passing it. The one on the bottom left functions like normal. The real thing to watch out for is the Bowser Parade, which happens every five turns, it starts at the top of the board and follows the direction of the footprints as it moves towards the start. Anyone in the way will be taken with it and lose 2 coins for every space they travel. That... is pretty brutal, so always be aware of which way the Bowser Parade will go, as there are ways to dictate the direction it travels. Our session will be on Friday at 8pm. -

Bit late, but... -
Wave 4 Theme Night Like with all new waves so far, I expect a higher turnout, even some gatecrashers from the various friend lists going around. I can't and won't stop this, so I recommend getting into the room as early as possible to avoid disappointment. The room opens at 7:45pm, 15 minutes before we start. I'll also allow repeat track sselection only for anyone who joins late. See you there!
-
In case anyone is wondering, my setup is Medium Mii, Yoshi Bike, Mercedes Wheels. Yes, I got all the buffs!
-
What? That ninja from Final Fantasy IV? Weird choice, but I'd take it. Not the first time a Final Fantasy Ninja showed up in a Mario game.
-
Pity it's not an extra row on the character screen, but oh well. See, I'd be up for a FE character because it wouldn't be from Tour and therefore, a legit surprise. Plus, it'd make some people unreasonably angry at one tiny inclusion, which is always funny.

Bayonetta Origins: Cereza and the Lost Demon (17th March)

Oh snap. In the jam packed February, this slipped my mind. Will have to give it a go for sure. -
Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack: N64 & SEGA Mega Drive (& GBA!!)

Done. Did the whole Final Boss in 4 moves. It really can't be understated how utterly broken the Mush Badges are. Completely snaps any challenge of fights over its legs. Every boss was dying in 1 attack! It's hilarious! My time was under 10 hours and each Bro was at Level 45. The time elapsed at the last save point was 9 hours, 34 minutes. And I guarantee it didn't take me 26 minutes to reach the credits from there. It's still a great game. I love RPG's where you can get insanely broken with the right setup. It's why I like Octopath Traveler so much. I'll probably finish off WarioWare next. -
Slipped my mind that this week was a theme night and it's far too late for me to cobble one together. So Time format in just over 10 minutes.

At this point, I would've preferred Mario Party 3. We're running out of boards! -
How do you think I know? If I had to choose 4 songs from Live A Live, I probably would've gone with the ones they chose here. Of course, I would've preferred it if they all were the HD-2D versions, but eh... 4 isn't enough though. I can think of three more that should be here.
-
The Live A Live songs are available now for those who sold their souls to Square.
-
Player's Choice tonight at 8pm.
-
It is. Go watch it if you haven't, it's stupid good!

Octopath Traveler II (Switch, PS4/5, PC - 24th Feb 2023)

Right, so I've finished all eight first chapters, and I'm gonna jot down my thoughts on the 8 base jobs and how I think the tweaks may help or hinder them.
