Couldn't resist...

Well, I spent most of last night working on this game. I got a few booster cards from the Lightning Club and made a lightning deck called the "I hate your bench" deck. And steamrolled through the water club. Fossil Series Raichu is one hell of a card! 30 damage with 10 to up to 3 bench Pokemon? YES PLEASE! I won the promotional Mewtwo card in the Challenge Tournament and made a psychic deck with it. (It's called "Think about my" deck) which I then used to tackle the Science club. Because Science is apparently a type in this... Seeing as his deck causes all sorts of annoying status effects, I mainly used Snorlax and had Gengar using Curse while on the bench when appropriate. Why overkill when you can move damage counters around? During my Science club tirade, I got 2 Dragonairs. So I modified my Normal deck ("Just a bog-standard" deck) and took on the Psychic Club. Murray has a tough deck. Mr. Mime and Alakazam with Pokemon Centers are an annoying combo. But a Dragonair spamming Hyper Beam is even more annoying! It was just a case of constantly getting rid of his energies with Hyper Beam until he ran out of cards. (Why do you have a Professor Oak card in a stalling deck?) I know it looked close, but it was really all according to plan. I made sure I had more cards than him at all times.

The E3 demo showed 9 character slots. So unless I'm forgetting someone, there's at least 2 more left. But that WAS a demo, there may be more. Fi fights like I hoped she would. Lots of lovely little touches in that video. I approve!

Soooo... I'm in the minority of people one who sees this as pretty cool? You've got to hand it to the Rayman team, they really don't do things by halves. Which is super ironic, considering they're owned by Ubisoft... (I'm right in thinking it was Ubisoft's fault Legends took so long to release and not the guys who made the game, aren't I? Something about them being forced to hold off on the WiiU Release until the PS3 and 360 one's were finished?)

Well, I still have 2 medals, but now I have the rest of today to play it. So I should be making some good progress now.

Well, that was fast... Back in my game, I chose the grass deck, (I named it the "Psychic in my grass deck") so naturally, I went for Rock Club. Easy peasy! Next I made a deck called "Dirt ruined my Deck" (I like making names that utilise the word "deck" at the end) and was all ready to wage an epic children's card game against the Lightning club! I wiped out 2 of his Pokemon with a Diglett and he had nothing left. Talk about anti-climactic...

I just want to point out that @Aneres11 Chimchar came out better than mine. Something went funny with the eyes. I actually learned something from the shading lessons, namely a way to do highlights that makes it look like the light source is behind the subject. Aneres11 did it with that Chimchar picture above. I then applied it to a drawing of my own.

Not one bit, I'm perfectly comfortable with it. I don't joke when it comes to comfort.

If you like RPG's, you really do owe it to yourself to give it a good go. It's a big game, so you might want to prepare for a 70+ hour game. (Plus, it's got some fine voice actors in there. Lovely and British! It confused some Americans, which was hilarious.)

Geez, I've only done one club so far. No more waiting around. I'm gonna up my game! Luck plays a big part in this game. No matter how good your deck is, sometimes you're just going to be put in a hopeless situation. Have you changed the text speed? It makes things go so much quicker. It's not unheard of to get matches done in 5 minutes most of the time, once you know your way around the menu.

IS IT HAPPENING!? I can't take this amount of excitement! This is going to make the wait unbearable! Oh, the humanity! This might just be bigger than Greninja! And I went NUTS over Greninja. And now I'm thinking about all the music they could choose. I want Mechanical Rhythm in my Smash so much, it hurts!

OK, fair enough. Oh, I see what you mean. An overlay would be a great work around. Anyway, as much as I love Fire Emblem: Awakening and how it deserves a rep, I would happily shove Chrom out for Shulk, purely because Xenoblade is a better game, British voice acting in a Smash game is cool, he could be way more unique, giant freaking laser swords are cool and Reyn being an Assist Trophy for that glorious dialogue. (Then again, I would kick both of them out for playable Dillon, but that's never gonna happen now...)

What's gonna stop the non-Shulks from seeing it then? That would break up the action and just annoy players.

I've had worse excuses to get this up! What if 2 people play as Shulk though? I wouldn't mind it being a 3DS only thing. That would be good enough for me.

Smash hype is the best kind of hype, after all. Anyway, I'm hoping for Shulk. The sheer possibilities with the whole "Seeing the future" thing makes me very excited. @Dcubed and I were having a conversation a while back about how it could be done and he suggested getting visions on your 3DS bottom screen of upcoming stage hazards. Let's take Spear Pillar from Brawl as an example. About 10 seconds before it happened, the Shulk player might glimpse one of those beams of death and can then set up accordingly. The main action would still go on, but no-one else would know about it. Yeah, the WiiU version may not be able to do it without the gamepad, but it'd be super cool. Not to mention he has a wealth of Monado arts to use as specials. Buster for hard hitting. Cyclone for a recovery. You could even have Monado Speed as a kind of counter attack. And of course, his Smash attack could be BACK SLASH! Which would do more damage on opponents not facing you. You're assuming too much. He said he's nearing the bottom of new character videos. Which confirms 1 thing and supports one other. First of all, this isn't the last Character reveal. There will be more. And secondly, and this is slight speculation... It's quite possible not EVERY new character has a video. There might be some unlockables that he just won't reveal at all until the game is actually out.

3PM Monday? Sweet! I'll be able to watch it then. Yeah, I'll be amazed if all this is just for a veteran. EVERYBODY, GET HYPE!

The key phrase in that comment Sakurai made was "new challenger video". This seems too big for a veteran. This smells of completely new character. (Shulk makes it in time!) Sonic got one. Charizard as well, if you count sharing the spotlight with Greninja.

Seriously getting some deja vu here... I can only imagine it's because of how unstable wireless connections can be. You have to remember, we busted out Link Cables back then. Picture it now, the instant some bad connection issues happen, BAM! Connection error. There would be so many problems, I can see why they didn't bother.

Good luck with that... I hear the monotonous argument a lot with Other M. I think most of you guys don't realise that she sounds like that only when she's narrating events. She's giving a report, why would she sound emotional? That said, there's a lot wrong with that game, but I still think it's great fun and that's all that matters to me. Anyway, in my opinion, I don't give a damn, really. If Samus had more realistic proportions, given her upbringing, she'd look closer to female weightlifters than to Ripley. And no-one wants that...

Actually, it seems to depend on the stage you're playing. The Twilit Realm stage had the enemy designs from TP.

2 weeks is pretty reasonable. It's not unexpected to do a club in an hour. One club a day seems fine.

@Dcubed and I are getting some practice in if anyone wants to join in befrore the league.

Gotta restrain myself from getting any club medals until this group playthrough gets going. It's SO goooood though!

Eh... Never really liked Metagross. There are 3rd Gen Pokemon out there that needs the upgrade more. At least Steven seems to have an actual Steel Mega Pokemon now.
