Dat Steelbook? I mean, I'm getting that Gorgeous Groudon Steelbook.
-
This implies that Bayo 2 does away with these. Which is great! I'm loving 1, but that's a pretty noticeable flaw in a gem of a game!
-
I remember R/S having horrendously slow battles. Like, unbearably sluggish animation. Black and White are my fave. Great overworld, great Pokemon, surprisingly decent story. And probably the best OST of the mainline series. Also, Krookodile. I haven't wanted a Pokemon so badly since... Well, Feraligatr, really. My 8 year old self would have flipped out if he saw that.
-
Bravo! Got a good giggle out of that. I have no comments about this. I mean, what can I say? No idea if this is a good idea or not.
-
I don't know what's more impressive, the fact that you bothered to fish that picture out, or the lengths you went to in order to misunderstand my post for comic effect.

I think "dislike" is a harsh word, personally. R/S isn't my favourite Pokemon game by a long shot, but it's still good. And it does have the 2nd best Pokemon designs. (Opinion, guys, don't start foaming at the mouth) I think Diamond and Pearl are the worst Pokemon mainline games. Lame world, lame Pokemon (Mostly) and typical "Game Freak tries on new hardware" bugs. I'm kinda indifferent with these remakes. Not that hyped. I'm sure it'll still be great. But not as hyped as I was for HG/SS.

Well, I know what trophy I'm aiming for as soon as WiiU comes out!

Super Smash Bros. Wii U Direct (23rd October 23:00)

You and me both. I'm just gonna go home and play Bayonetta. -
I LOVE MY LOCAL INDEPENDANT GAME SHOP! Guess how much I paid for the double pack? No, don't. You won't get it. 30 QUID! Screw getting the games early! I like getting the games cheap! I'm outie 5000!
-
I want this game to do well so badly that I'm actually gonna buy it myself instead of just borrowing it. I need to support my local game shop more as well. They're a great little shop that have hilariously and rightly outlasted two nearby GAME stores. So I'm getting it tomorrow, provided they have the double pack.

Music is hilarious though. Being a Londoner, it was very easy to get that challenge done. It was done long before I even got the second page. I have around 6 challenges left on page 3, collecting stuff mostly, but also Classic 9.0 and 100 Man-Smash with everyone. (I'm up to Lucario on that)

Man, Sticker Star? That's harsh... I happen to like Sticker Star quite a bit. Sure, it's no Thousand Year Door. But then, it wasn't trying to be. I like that they tried something different with the battles. It actually makes you think about what sticker to use and which ones you should save. Should you spend coins to get extra turns? It requires a whole lot more thought than other Paper Mario games. And some of the bosses are the best out of any of the Paper Mario games! That Blooper and the giant Ice Bowser statue are brilliant fights. I feel like this is in the same situation as Sunshine. If it didn't have Paper Mario on the box, I bet people would see it in a more favourable light.

Really? Argorok is pretty easy to cope with. Compared with Gohma or Manhandla. Run circles around it, wait for the tail to glow blue, use Hookshot. If you're in a rush, you can always use Focus Spirit, then press A. Instantly knocks enemies down for weak point hits. I recommend 4 Y's than an X for chipping the weak point down. That move is awesome for weak points. The Gauntlets are one of the easier weapons to get the Level 3 for. I find it amazing that you got Link's other weapons but not that one! It's a matter of opinion really. I'm pretty great with Agitha, she's a beast when it comes to killing Giant Bosses! But her Level 3 mission is so ridiculously set against her, it's bordering on unfair. Agitha can't cope with Dinolfos, the way she combos normally means they don't show their weak points, making it difficult to get the mission done in time, thanks to there being over 20 of the bloody things! You wanna be good with Agitha? I recommend checking this guy's Miiverse post. Had no idea she was invincible during the butterfly attack. Will have to try this out. https://miiverse.nintendo.net/posts/AYQHAAABAAABUaXDCosdcw Ruto is an odd character, she has ironically stiff attacks, but some of her X combos are great for plowing through small enemies and taking keeps. That builds up a little meter that can be used with X on it's own for a powerful long range attack. Handy for one-on-one's. She makes for a great second player. Her level 3 mission is very unforgiving though, on account of all the Gold Cuccoos trying to nick keeps and spread like the virus they are. Only barely managed to A rank it. Through a fluke. Ruto isn't my kind of character, but she does have her uses. Wizzro, on the other hand... I fail to see what he's good for. He keeps juggling enemies and that's not as awesome as it sounds. It's a humongous waste of time. I think he may just be the worst character. In my opinion. Agreed, Fi is the crowd queen. Not even a horde of Cuccoos scares me when I'm twirling around. For Bosses, I recommend finding an opportunity to press X by itself. That imbues Fi with Light, dealing more damage with each hit for a while. (Cia has a similar trick) Obviously this doesn't work as great for Giant Bosses. You'll find fights go a lot quicker if you can get that going.

Yeah, it was. But it's safe to say, these days, that purple tunic is a nod to Four Swords. I still maintain my comment you should give them a try. Even if it is bloody hard to get a multiplayer setup.
-
For what it's worth, the 3DS version is still kinda active. Found quite a few players in around 2 minutes during the evening a couple of weeks ago.
-
You two need to play Four Swords / Four Swords Adventures. Great little gems, especially with friends.
-
I kinda like that. Makes me glad I bothered to train all my characters evenly. Zant I'm OK with, it's Ruto and Agitha I struggle with. I like Agitha, but she just sucks at taking out Dinolfos. So naturally, her Level 3 weapon mission is chock full of the buggers! She's Level 65 and I still can't get 1,200 KO's and finish up in less than 20 minutes, never mind 15! Cia and Volga are both fantastic. Great, fluid attacks and are great at coping with many situations. Wizzro suffers from not being able to coax enemies into showing weak points. Far too easy to juggle enemies, making fights last too long for A ranks. I need to get his Level 2 weapon. Speaking of, lovely nod with his weapon being the blue ring from Zelda 1. Safe to say the red ring will show up soon. EDIT: OK, this needs to be said. What masochistic nutjob thought it'd be a good idea to have "Don't get hit" as one of the Master Quest rules and then expects you to A rank a 15 minute mission while getting 1,200 KO's? One hit! From any random enemy, and your chance at an A rank is kaput. There's hard and then there's just unfair! I'm not OK with that.

All on system memory. I don't own many WiiU games. I just borrow off of @Dcubed. I buy games when I can afford them. Should also point that I always manually download updates and DLC due to not having an internet connection.
-
I second this. We like to call these runs "Morning constitutionals" on account of it looking like the main character is just trying to get to work. Actually, you ever watch Shaun of the Dead? Remember that bit where Shaun takes a trip to the newsagents while not noticing a zombie apocalypse is going on? It's like that but with more jogging.

The key word was most. I didn't say all of them required knowledge/skill. But yes, you're right. That is a dreadful show. Clearly trying to piggyback off of Deal's success.
-
Lovely to see that I've started a whirlwind of hate. Totally justified though. I give ITV a hard time with their constant ruining of classic game shows, but at least most of them require at least some Knowledge/Skill. For the record, you could get a game done in about 5 minutes if you'd just shut up with the melodrama. This show is a brilliant example as to why I hate modern day British TV. Thank god for Dave. I wouldn't ever watch telly otherwise.
-
You should watch the Cat Mario Show...
-
Holy crap! Really!? Damn, I was actually gonna give the first game a miss on account of me not liking it nearly as much as the sequels. It's OK, but it's just outshined by DKC 2 and 3. But hearing it's 60 Hz may have just changed my mind. Damn Nintendo and their constant spying on me!
-
Yeah, I know I should, but King Can't-Walk-Right has an iron-like grip on me. I'll have to force myself to use the Circle Pad for the rest of the demo.
