Righto, here's the current League table. A welcome back to regular host @BowserBasher, who came in swinging. Smashing his way to 4th place. And another welcome back to @Vileplume2000. Still early days, averages are prone to fluctuate when you join, so don't give up yet. And a big hello to lapsed N-E Leaguer @viceview51. A very solid showing there, let's see if you can keep it up. With mostly everyone's averages going up last week, it was inevitable that averages would go down this week. And with 3 new entries joining the League, it's shaken up most of the board. Of note, is @Dcubed and @S.C.G, who somehow have exactly the same amount of points! Wow! Doesn't get much closer than that! Dcubed is on top because of his 1st and 2nd placings so far. Next week, we'll be having more user-picked GP's to commendate @Sméagol's absence. His GP will be there along with newcomers Vileplume2000 and viceview51. Check your private messages. And the rest of you should as well, just in case one of them can't make it next week, you might be asked to take their place. I'll put the theme up when I get the three GP's together.

Using Metroid to declare the 3DS dead is using the wrong franchise. Metroid pretty much never sells well. Let's wait until Pokemon, eh? I'm looking at Monster Hunter Stories, and that game proves the 3DS can still do gorgeous looking games.

That's fine, I was kinda wanting to repeat this theme with other people choosing anyway. You've given me a great excuse. That said, we need a replacement GP, which gives me a golden opportunity to test a idea I didn't want to put on a whole 3 GP's. So here's the updated League Night. I chose the tracks that have the most opportunities for you to use those mushrooms for all sorts of corner cutting and shortcuts. The most interesting thing is that coins still show up in this setting, so the closer you are to 1st place, the less likely you are to get those mushrooms. Which has the potential to make this the most balanced setup ever... or the most rubberbandyest GP ever. Which is perfect for "That Damn Rubberbanding" really, so why not? And one more thing, normally I turn a blind eye to accidental choosing of the wrong track, but considering the whole point of this night is to play exactly how the people choosing tonight's tracks want to play, I have to be very strict. If you choose the wrong track and it gets picked, you WILL be penalised for that GP. I can't stress that enough, have the schedule to hand! Still time to sign up!

The amount of Red/Blue votes sicken me. Especially when FireRed/LeafGreen exist. If you're gonna choose Gen 1, then at least choose the better version!

So, I saw the credits last night. I'll give my thoughts in the Gaming Diary thread soon, but this needs to be said... Brachy Blow is the greatest thing the Monster Hunter series has ever done. Caught me completely off-guard. Masterful!

@Dcubed and I gave the multiplayer a go this morning. It's amazingly in depth and goes to show how well thought out the battle system in this game is. You can download special rulesets to play with. (Sorry Sun/Moon, you totally ripped off this game with that) It's also very nice in that you don't really have to win to benefit, as both players get the same amount of egg fragments and their rank goes up. My favourite was the "Herbivores" only ruleset, we both only just got to the Hunter Town, so it ended up as a big Aptonoth fight. I'm loving the game so far, it's incredibly referential to the MonHun fanbase (Someone compared a Deviljho to a pickle! What next? A Seregios called Steve?) and every monster feels unique, just like Pokemon. OK, except for the sub-species, but that's to be expected. Highlights for me so far are getting absolutely destroyed by a Pink Rathian I was nowhere near ready for. Managing to complete a DLC quest to fight Tigrex by the skin of my teeth, and going into a den, trying to get a Gypceros egg, but accidently bringing back a bloody Diablos! Which I can't use yet because it's rarity 4... What a tease! This is an amazing RPG, I was always a bit worried it'd feel clumsy, but Capcom knocked it out of the park. It's an utter crime this game flopped. Even in Japan.

Hopefully, the demo will be easier to jump into for you now. I recommend choosing the bloke's scenario in the demo first, he has an easier time then the chick and is perfect for learning the ropes.

Yep, happens every time. I wanted the XBONE to buck the trend just because it'd be genuinely amazing. It ended up sinking Sega, but Nintendo bounced back with the Wii and Sony seem to have weathered the worst of it quickly with the PS4. Microsoft definitely had the worst foundation for their third console, The 360 had to go up against the Wii, a pretty hopeless battle in hindsight. And now they're fighting the PS4. Ouch.

It's from the people who made Bravely Default, so it's a bit more complex than the likes of Child of Light. (Amazing Game, BTW, definitely one of my surprise hits of the WiiU) Despite that, it's very reasonable to understand with a bit of careful tutorial reading and practice. I'll try and explain it as concisely as possible. With the help of a screenshot that you could never tell was edited in Paint.
