No, you don't understand, he didn't just achieve Maximus, he achieved Invictus. When you first win a Tetris 99 match, you unlock another mode that only people who have won a match can play. It gets insanely fast over there. Notice how the Tetrininos are instantly at the bottom in his vid? So only really good players can get in. And he just won a match there.

Wow... Very ouch, man! At least I'm clearly not a lost cause when it comes to animals. Yeah, can't really get the demo while in lockdown. (I'm getting flashbacks to when Generations Ultimate came out and I couldn't get it for a week so I had to sulkingly look on the thread, watching everyone else have fun.)

The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild Wii U / Switch

Funny that you point out these two things, because they both got addressed... In Age of Calamity. Flurry Rush is so much more satisfying when it feels like you've earned it. -
A topic on the declining interest in the N-E Mario Kart League
Glen-i replied to Glen-i's topic in Nintendo Gaming
1. Yup, I suspected this was the main reason when I made this thread. 2. And I suspected this was the second reason. But unlike the first, I can actually do something about this. 3. I find this reasoning a bit strange, because I'm the only one who actually keeps track of that stuff. Sometimes @BowserBasher gives me results of nights I can't make, but no-one else has to worry about that. The point system I use provides a way to compete without having to attend every single week. I do implement a threshold of 50% attendance to stop someone coming in, performing really well and then buggering off for the rest of the year. I don't think 25-ish hours in a whole year is too unreasonable. 4. See, I wouldn't want anyone to begrudgingly join if they've got other games to play. Anyway, it seems pretty clear that one of the main reasons people don't join is the day. With the League starting again soon, I'm gonna take this opportunity to ask the League regulars, @BowserBasher, @S.C.G, @viceview51, @martinist if Saturday would be OK for you guys this year? -
Went back and finished off the World Tour mode in Kingdom Hearts: Melody of Memory. It's the only time you'll ever see me finish a Kingdom Hearts game on Proud difficulty! That artwork on the right isn't even remotely accurate. Shimomura soundtrack and not a single violin! Still plenty to do, but the main meat of the game is done at least.

It has, sorry.

The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild Wii U / Switch
Glen-i replied to darkjak's topic in Nintendo Gaming
When it comes to Nintendo, you are ignoring one thing, their handheld library. With the Switch consolidating the usual handheld projects and home console ones into one device, you'd expect there to be more stuff, but there really isn't. I look at my 3DS, and the amount of Ninty stuff alone is dizzying. Combine that with the WiiU, and it was a smorgasbord of First Party content! Oh, and I don't care what anyone claims, if a game began development for a certain console and then releases on said console, it's a game for that console, no matter how many other platforms it also releases on. -
The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild Wii U / Switch

Yes. They were designed for the PS4 first and then moved on to the PS5. They are PS4 games that were also made compatible for PS5. Just like BotW was a Wii U title made to be compatible with the Switch. This isn't a bad thing, but it's fundamentally wrong to claim otherwise. -
The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild Wii U / Switch

The Wii U release schedule was great, it was let down by the unappealing hardware. Wii U's first party library runs rings around the Switch's. And it's funny that you use BotW as an example, seeing as that's a Wii U port as well. You know what one of the current TV ads Nintendo are using to advertise the Switch right now? New Super Mario Bros U Deluxe. A Wii U title. Face it, the Wii U is carrying the Switch as far as Nintendo games go. Thankfully, you're right about third party support, because it's amazing for a Ninty console and saves the Switch further. -
That article mixed up it's characters. That's Kohga in the picture, not Sooga. Now I'm wondering why the first Hyrule Warriors got no spirits (or music) back when Smash was released...

The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild Wii U / Switch
Glen-i replied to darkjak's topic in Nintendo Gaming
As far as Ninty's output goes, it is. If it wasn't for the large amount of Wii U ports, it'd be incredibly barren. And let's face it, Nintendo games are the main selling point for a Nintendo console. Wii U also doesn't have a controller that doesn't break apart in a matter of months. -
I 100% Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3 yesterday. For Christmas, @Dcubed got me a GameCube! And Shadow the Hedgehog... If a present ever symbolised the back-handed compliment, that was it. Thankfully, he also got me every Tony Hawk game on the system, so I've been playing Shadow and whenever I can't take any more for the day, I switched to THPS3, so I can play a game that isn't crap. But yeah, completed it. (Well, with one character, I ain't got time to do it more than 20 times these days) @Dcubed said that he got a bit rusty with Tony Hawk games when he played his copy recently. (He got himself all of the games as well) But not me, clicked almost immediately, it's like riding a bike! Which is ironic, because I most definitely play Tony Hawk games better than I actually ride a bike. Three hours later, I'm moving on to the fourth game. Bigger budget on this one. For starters, it has the skaters actually voiced by their real life counterparts.

OK, smart arse. And Super Mario World is a Switch game.

Already bailing on realistic Dog, then?

Nintendo are buying Next Level Games. EDIT: In regards to the Pokémon anniversary stuff. Unless it comes with Stadium/Stadium 2 support, I don't want the Game Boy games to be released again so soon after the 3DS. That would just be boring. I'm with @Julius on that. GBA games or don't even bother. Especially FireRed/LeafGreen. Then we can have a good remake of Red/Blue where you're allowed to evolve your damn Golbat! While I like the idea of Ranger getting a re-release, have you tried drawing quick circles on the Switch's screen? It's not able to do it even remotely accurately. I'm afraid outside of a new release with revamped, Switch friendly mechanics, Ranger ain't leaving the DS. All in for the EoS remake though. Rescue Team DX did really well, so I can only hope Pokémon Company are smart and commissioned Chun Soft to do that. Give me that in Rescue Team DX's watercolour style and that's my year sorted!

The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild Wii U / Switch
Glen-i replied to darkjak's topic in Nintendo Gaming
I always felt that the Hylian NPC's in BotW were really pedestrian compared to other Zelda titles and there's my proof. It is really cool though. @Dcubed was suggesting the idea that it was gonna be a full Mii feature where you had the option to import your Mii's into the game before it got shifted to a multi-platform title. I'm inclined to believe that. Between this and the ditched Gamepad support, I do wonder what WiiU BotW would've been like. -
Nope, I believe it, the guy is desperate. He knows he's getting charged with some kind of crime the moment he leaves the White House.
-
Well, make sure you post it in the correct thread then.
-
Congrats on the Suicune! I really should start getting on that, but I desperately need Dynamax Candy for all my competitive Pokémon I transferred.

Oh right, I forgot to give my thoughts on Birth By Sleep's story so far. Now, I've never played this game, so please, for the love of Disney. Don't actually answer my questions if the game answers them later. I'm mostly just writing down my thoughts because I'm already a bit confused and thought it'll be interesting to see how wrong I am.
-
Yeah, my list will have to be 5 games, otherwise I'll be including WiiU ports. Oh, and I'm a Switch only owner, so I'll be focusing on games that came out this year on Switch. If a certain game appeared on another platform before hand, deal with it.

Oh boy, it's time for Terra's Final Boss, I sure hope I get smacked into next week because I tried a 2-hit combo after avoiding one of their attacks! *Sigh* See, I genuinely enjoy playing Kingdom Hearts, but I absolutely hate fighting most late game bosses in the series. You have all these elaborate moves, but if you ever actually attempt them, you get punished, because the boss will just teleport away mid-combo and then slap you out of your attack animation. Inevitably, this means the best way to handle it is taking cheap potshots whenever a (very brief) opportunity arises. I finished him off by reflecting one of his projectile spam attacks. It's not very satisfying. The camera really sucks here as well. But Terra's story is done (Leaf Bracer is the only reason I beat the final boss on my first attempt). I'll be doing Ventus' story next, purely because Aqua is the leader of the BBS team in Melody of Memory, so I get the feeling she's the most important character.

Nah, I've never cared about getting the secret endings in Kingdom Hearts games. Kinda wish I chose Beginner with how stupid the hit stun is in this game. But I will do all 3 paths. It's pretty obvious that the plot has a lot of holes that I'm sure the other 2 characters will fill in.
