GQTDM: #8 Why does G.U.N have almost no info on Tails?
Glen-i replied to Glen-i's topic in General Gaming Discussion
I mean, both Sonic and Shadow's complexion is "Hedgehog", so maybe that's why? Which would only mean that G.U.N is specieist. (Shut up, it's totally a word!) -
Welp, 10 days into my Fit adventure with Ring. I've gone from "ARGH! MY LEGS!" to "ARGH! MY LEGS!", except 10 minutes later than usual. Seriously, squats absolutely kill me. I have about as much stamina as a wet paper bag, I always knew this, but I am slowly being able to last a bit longer. About to fight Dragaux in World 3, he still cracks me up whenever he makes an appearance. Such a ridiculous character design, that I can't help but laugh. Game's great fun though.

You thought it was done, but just like a bad rash, it's back! Gaming Questions That Don't Matter! My never-ending struggle with my inner demons, which manifest themselves as stupid, unanswerable questions about video games! After a brief hiatus, I stumbled upon this little notice that shows up in Sonic Adventure 2. Boy, there's a lot to digest here (What does "Complexion: Fox" even mean!?). For reasons I won't bother going into, Tails is wanted by the Sonic universe's equivalent to the military, G.U.N. in Sonic Adventure 2. Hence, the wanted poster. But why the hell is information on him so sparse? No date of birth, no information on where he's from, and they can't even get an accurate height! I mean, I'm not the biggest fan of Sonic games, but isn't Espio supposed to be the master of covert operations? Tails is surprisingly good at staying off the grid considering he hangs around Sonic all the time! So yeah, what gives? I wanna hear some thoughts on this.

Not if you do it while riding a Palamute!

Bugger, that was before my time. (N-Europe membership wise, I'm not that young!) Heads up, guys. If you played Metroid Prime Trilogy, then you've played the New Play Control! versions of the Metroid Prime games.

Looking at @Beast's Blu-ray collection... You certainly have a genre down-pat, huh? Channel 4 showed BlacKkKlansman a few days ago. Never seen it before, so why the hell not? It's described as "Dark Comedy", not too certain about that. It had it's moments (The final phone call was hilarious and very satisfying), but it doesn't feel like that was what the movie was aiming to be. If you never heard of the Ku Klux Klan before watching this (Yeah, extremely unlikely, just roll with it), you'd be forgiven for thinking that they look like some kind of Saturday morning cartoon villain group, their views and beliefs are so extreme, it should be laughable. But it's not, and that's depressing. It's a good movie, starts a bit slow in the first 20 minutes, but kept my interest once the main plotline kicked in. Would recommend.

I think I've discovered @Dcubed's equivalent to Sonic Chronicles. A game that has no redeemable qualities to it what-so-ever in your eyes. Absolutely miserable, isn't it? Playing a game like that. So bad, that it's not enjoyable, but not so bad that it wraps around to being funny.
-
It's certainly hilarious, @Mokong, but I did notice that you still take the damage, and that's very ouchies! Now you've gotta aim for mounting the tail and then getting killed while you're on it.
-
Theoretically, I could just borrow @Dcubed's Switch in May, boot up Ghosts 'n Goblins with my profile, die incredibly quickly, and then use save data cloud storage shenanigans to get that spirit. But then I'd be missing 1, and I think that actually might be more aggravating.

Heads up, @markderoos. Monster Hunter Rise Spirits are available now. Get on that, quick!

The Good Fight started it's 4th series over here on More4 a few weeks ago. Yes, it showed last year in the US, but still. It's a spin-off to that other show, The Good Wife. (I never actually watched it though) I really like this show, something about the themes and the characters make it really engaging. And also, I really dig the title sequence. It just steadily gets more and more over-the-top and that music is just so damn good!

No, they haven't. Gigginox has been absent since 3 Ultimate. Was kinda hoping after Khezu was in MH 4 and Generations, they'd shift back to Gigginox again, but nope.
-
I think you mean Gigginox, they're quite similar. But Khezu wasn't in Tri.

Yeah, this is weird. Especially being able to see all the monsters on the map. But with the maps being so big, it might have been a necessary evil because some of the areas can be a bit confusing to traverse. Especially when you need to go to an underground section. There's a TV advert showing off the multiplayer aspect with a group of 4 hunting a Magnamalo and one of the people asks "Where is it?" Excuse me, but what? You're hunting a monster like that and you still haven't figured out that the map shows you!? How have your friends not told you this!? Oh, and they're all using the default shout-outs. Yes, I noticed, so be warned. If you're a group of 4 and none of you have customised your shout-outs, you're no better than a typical Nintendo TV advert!

Hub quests are designed for multiplayer and Monster Hunter tends to have really long legs as far as player base goes, so there's no need to rush through it. Village quests are a great way to learn the ins and outs. Anyway, I won't be able to get online until May at the earliest. So you'll at least have me to play with. (And to be fair, a decent amount of N-Europe players)
-
See? This guy is the kind of guy I'd want to run into randomly.
-
Fair point, but it's still 10 minutes of your time to make yourself look more interesting to randoms or people who might not be able to voice chat at any time due to background noise (*Cough*Me*cough*). Anyway, I've done every village quest now (Didn't even get a Guild Card award for that, which is pretty telling that the game is incomplete). Got every Sword & Shield tree as far as I can get them as well. Got nothing left to do now, so I guess I'm shelving Rise until I can get back online.

Metroid fans are such massive whiners. Oh, boo hoo, you didn't like Other M or Federation Force? So what? At least you're still getting releases. They have some serious entitlement issues and a delusion that Metroid is as big as the likes of Mario and Zelda. (Spoiler alert: it isn't) Come back when your series is as dead as F-Zero or Golden Sun, then you might get some sympathy.

Super Mario 3D World + Bowser’s Fury (12 Feb 2021)
Glen-i replied to Ronnie's topic in Nintendo Gaming
The extra speed means that the slower characters (Peach and Rosalina) are probably the best choices thanks to their excellent correction based jumps. That speed proves to be a real hindrance for the Mario Bros and Toad, it gets really hard to maintain control in that course. -
I have 19 million bells and nothing to spend them on. The money rock is more than enough to sustain any spending.

Why would you out yourself as boring like that? I mean, I've played with you on Generations, I already knew you're a boring default shout-outer, but why announce it? Oh, and it's lazy. 12 lines of typing is all it takes to make yourself stand out. You're all boring and lazy! It's a decent opportunity to sharpen your weapon, chug a potion, set a trap and so on. If that's not needed, then do what I do and chuck hunting kunais at them. Damage is damage. Those being infinite now and the fantastic gyro controls has elevated them from useless item to "always on my Y button".
-
All of you suck because you're using the default automatic shout-outs! I expect better!
-
Boy, Almudron was genuinely tough. Damn thing wouldn't stay still and it hit like a truck, despite my 170-ish defense! Cool monster though. I'm at 6 star quests now, they're only 1 page long and the game is no longer giving me a task that I need to do in order to progress, so I think I'm coming up to how far the village quests go. EDIT: I just googled it, and there's no way to make your own layered armour at this point in time. Massive disappointment there. How am I supposed to wear casual clothes and a silly mask without being lumbered with rubbish stats!?
