If anything, Paper Peach could be even worse! She is not above using TEC's feelings for her to get what she wants, sending e-mails to Paper Mario.

I mean, Paper World has been established as an alternate universe officially, so who's to say that can't be the case with Paper Bowser? EDIT: The rest of your post suddenly reminded me of Pit's Conspiracy Theory about Daisy.

This is Gaming Questions That Don't Matter, a pointless set of threads where I ask pointless questions about pointless games pointlessly. This week's question revolves around Super Mario Sunshine, specifically one of the new characters introduced in that game. That's Bowser Jr. As the name implies, he's Bowser's son. In Mario Sunshine, Bowser tells him that Peach is his mother and that Mario is the lowlife scum that has kidnapped her. So, impressionable Bow J uses a paintbrush that Professor E. Gadd gave him (No, I have no idea why) to disguise himself as Mario, paint graffiti all over Isle Delfino and get the real Mario arrested. Doesn't work, thanks to Mario being allowed to run around the island and clean up the mess. Which eventually leads to this cutscene. Boy, that was something, alright. Now, the first thing that most people would think is that Bowser is a big liar and he's using his son in order to get Peach all to himself. It's definitely not his best dad moment, that's for sure. Sunshine's ending definitely has hints that this is the case. But, there's just a couple of things about the whole affair that still bugs me to this day. During the ending, Bowser attempts to tell his son "something difficult about Princess Peach" only to get interrupted by Junior saying he knows Peach isn't his real mum. Bowser never actually confirms it, he seems content to let Junior think that. Or he got distracted by the immense pride he felt when his kid tells him he wants to fight Mario again. I don't care what you say, it's a cute moment. Of course, that's assuming a lot of things. There's something a lot more damning, and it's in the video I posted above. Peach doesn't even attempt to deny Bowser Jr's claims! The most you get out of her is some mild surprise that she's being called Mama Peach. Her lack of denial raises so many doubts that I can't rule out that maybe Bowser was telling the truth? (About Junior's parentage. Not the kidnapping, he was defo lying about that) So what do you think? Was Bowser being ridiculous and delusional? Or is Peach a deadbeat mum that ditched her son at the first opportunity? Best not think of the logistics of how that coupling would even work...

This is the main reason I hate Noki Bay as well. It's a nightmare.

No, ARMS got some as well when Min Min dropped.

Just a heads up to Spirit collectors (mostly @markderoos), because this isn't exactly obvious in game. The Rex spirit has been changed so that it can now be enhanced at level 99. So you'll need to do that (and then get another Rex Spirit and get that to level 99 to maintain that 100% completion)

Yeah, the music selection in this pack is top-notch! That new medley is just too good! You Will Recall Our Names and Driver VS are some songs that I always wanted in Smash as well, so I'm pleased I finally got my wish. It's hard to tell during a fight, but Azurda has a lot of voice clips when you're fighting on the new stage. (A lot like Metal Face in the Xenoblade 1 stage) He remarks on when time is about to run out, if someone is down to their last life, what's going on in the background, whether someone slams something into his back, if someone hits him with fire and if Pyra/Mythra get KO'd. He even comments when the crowd starts chanting a character's name with "Well, someone's popular!" But my favourite is one hell of a meta comment. "My back? A Smash stage? What will they think of next?" It's not as diverse as Palutena's Guidance or Snake's Codec Calls, but it's a lot more than I expected. I definitely prefer Mythra, her combo game is so good! But unlike Sheik or Greninja, she has actual killing power thanks to Pyra! I can already tell she's gonna be a good character from the hour I played.

Pretty straight forward, but I've played both of the 3DS entries and the Monk job is very similar to those games, so I knew what to expect. If I remember rightly, I had everyone as a Freelancer then, with everyone sporting White Mage sub-jobs (except Elvis, because he already had Black Mage at level 3, so I used that) I knew Sloan was gonna be doing most of the damage, so I focused on just keeping my HP and MP topped up with Treat and used Cure if whole party healing was needed, while throwing in an attack or a spell if I had a turn free. As for the boat feature, it's not as useful as you'd think. The bosses are really hard in this game, so every little helps. (Then again, you apparently get better rewards if you're able to go online, which I can't do reliably. So your mileage might vary) My advice would be to stick with it until everyone is at Level 12 Freelancer. Then start experimenting with other jobs. If you hold it off, it'll be more difficult to work with Freelancers due to tougher enemies. As for the bolded, not quite. Each job tweaks stats when set as your main. (Black Mage would increase Magic Attack, while lowering Physical Attack, for example) But this doesn't actually directly affect skills. So yes, the Magic Attack boost would help Black Mages do more damage with spells, but if you were to choose a main job that has even more Magic Attack (And those do exist) and then choose Black Mage as the Sub-Job, you'll do even more damage than a Black Mage could. After you're done with Freelancer, try and master some other jobs as often as possible. You already know that each job has a speciality, but getting to Level 12 will unlock a second speciality. The majority of these are really powerful!
-
The sooner you get Body Slam, as well as JP Up and Up, the better. Trust me on this. Freelancer is a pretty crap job at first, but master other jobs and a mastered Freelancer will get stat boosts for every other job they've mastered. This is broken beyond belief! I got one shotted by a boss I referred to in my previous post, so I went back with 4 Freelancers and completely destroyed it! Of course, I still had other jobs that needed to be mastered, so I went back to other jobs afterwards, but put in the effort and you'll have a great job for breaking past boss difficulty spikes.

Oh, that's annoying, but if it's anything like the Pokémon Let's Go ones, they should be available in the future.
-
God, I hate Minus Strike! I knew it was only a matter of time, and it's still as cheap as ever! Luckily, I've been preparing for this for quite a while now. I'm going Freelancer on this boss! It's the only way to even hope to survive it.

Oh god, major flashbacks! I had a Charmander one.

It seems that every time @Dcubed mentions the Avenue of Crushed Dreams, it turns out not to be the time to go down it. I can confirm that no-one predicted Monster Hunter or Arthur. My guess is back then, Monster Hunter World left the series in too much of an unknown state when it came to Nintendo, so no-one felt confident enough. And even Dcubed isn't stupid enough to actually bet on Arthur, a hope is different to a prediction, guys. Lloyd Irving's Mii costume is still MIA though, and people definitely predicted him. We'll have to see what the future holds.

I've managed to pull off a 1 VS 5 win once. (Although the CPU's were only level 6) Squad Strike is the second best mode that people forget exists.

Now that we know that Pyra and Mythra are out today. I imagine some of you will want to have a good old N-E new character night! Unfortunately, I can't organise it. But you shouldn't let one person stop you. I can still make up the usual list of colour options and alternate character choices for those who haven't bought the second Fighter's Pass so you can not have an embarrassing fashion faux pas. Whoever organises it should be aware of the general ruleset I use for Time Matches. I generally stick to Time, because fresh characters involve learning how they play, which means that mistakes are inevitable, so you're not punished too harshly by being forced to sit out just because you forgot that Pyra rockets straight down after using her Up B. 3 minutes, Items set to Low with the Special Flag off, Final Smash Meter On and Bottom 2 drop out when more than 4 players are in a room. Stage choices should be limited to Cloud Sea of Alrest, Guar Plains, or any custom stages that happen to be Xenoblade based, even if they are unbalanced in the most hilarious of ways! (Not naming any names) That should cover the important points. Now on to the costumes and characters allowed. If you want to look at the costumes, just go here and click the renders. Pyra/Mythra Default - Spoileriffic Green - Confusing Reversed Colours - Brown and Yellow Nia Flavour - Edgy Dark Outfits - Aerodynamic White and Blue - Default Colours, But They Pop! - Gold and Silver - Now for those people who don't have the second Fighter's Pass, here are a number of characters that are loosely related to Pyra/Mythra. The Obvious Choices Shulk, Mii Swordfighter (Dunban and Rex costume only, Rex costume requires the first Fighters Pass) Swapping before it was cool Sheik, Zelda, Pokémon Trainer The British Club Diddy Kong, Bayonetta, King K. Rool, Banjo & Kazooie My Sword is a Person too! Link, Toon Link Debuted on Switch Byleth (Yes, I know Min Min would also count, but if you're here, you don't have the second pass, so there's no point in listing her) Kirby Kirby Now, I'll leave the date and time up to whoever decides to host a room, but today would be perfect because the less time people have to practice, the funnier it'll be.

Think I'm coming up to the end of Chapter 3. Gotten quite a few more jobs, a lot of which have been getting some interesting tweaks. None of them are actually new if you've played Bravely Default... Kinda... But I'll spoiler it anyway. The plot's dynamic has changed a bit now. Certainly didn't see that coming!

Friend Codes, Fruit, Trading and Photo Thread For Animal Crossing
Glen-i replied to Hero-of-Time's topic in Nintendo Gaming
The Pipe is really cool and all, but I kinda think they missed an opportunity. Instead of it taking you to a random pipe, I think it would've been a better idea to use furniture customisation to change the colour of it and then have similarly coloured pipes connect to each other. As it is now, I only have two placed down, because I know it'll get annoying if I had any more than that. -
GQTDM: #6 How did Ridley Become Organic Again?
Glen-i replied to Glen-i's topic in General Gaming Discussion
Actually, she blew up Zebes twice. Ever since the Chozo left, it turned into a right dump! And then she went back to blow up the Space Pirate craft. (Being "shot down" was just a convenient excuse, prove me wrong) -

Good analogy, bad example. Because that's a completely different Ridley. Both Other M and Super Metroid Ridley could theoretically both be in the same room at the same time. -
Blatant Octopath Traveller Theft #2: Olberic's Level Slash move is in this. Got exactly the same name, does exactly the same thing. Shout "MY BLADE IS UNBENDING!" when used for maximum effect! Anyway, every time Adelle gets a status effect/debuff and responds with "What the!? You suck!", I immediately crack up! Something about the delivery just kills me every time! @Jonnas, yeah, he's not the only one. Just fought a boss who sometimes countered defaulting by raising their own BP. To be fair, it wasn't nearly as bad, because I still kept my BP and she wasn't the main source of damage in that fight. Much more manageable. But the Thief Fight is definitely a weird difficulty spike so far.
-
I'm on Chapter 2 now. A simple change in strategy made the Thief fight a lot more manageable. I stopped bothering with Default and just spammed the Freelancer's Body Slam whenever possible. That move is really useful! It's a physical attack, but it doesn't count as a weapon attack, which I've noticed some bosses are resistant or even immune to weapons. Focus on learning that. Holy hell, "Unshakable Will" is an absolutely amazing passive ability that grants immunity to 7 status effects! It's like having two thirds of a ribbon! And it only takes up one slot! Bonkers!

GQTDM: #6 How did Ridley Become Organic Again?
Glen-i replied to Glen-i's topic in General Gaming Discussion
Galactic Federation are morons, there is no doubt about that, but I'm gonna have to stop you there. That ain't Ridley in Fusion. It's one of the few actual cool things that Other M's story explained. That aside, your explanation makes a lot of sense. I recall the manga defo hinting at that when Ridley taunts Samus about eating her parents. -
Yeah, don't expect this to have anywhere near the number of towns your usual Pokémon game has. That's just wishful thinking.
-
Your point there is valid, it's just that Arceus is one of those rare Pokémon that has the same name in every language. So Japan's to blame for that one. But you're right in that NOA is very likely the one's that change Pokémon names for the English speaking market. And now I'm thinking of nothing but "Do the Mario".

Pretty unanimous, huh? Nice to see most people agree with me for once.
