Wow, I know what I'm doing if there's a cliff around at the end of a quest.

Getting Game Over on the first Ghirahim fight is very accurate. Probably the most harsh first boss in Zelda history. Proper wake up call that "No, waggling randomly is not gonna cut it in this game!"
-
I feel like that's a snipe at me. At least I was smart enough to use a guide for blue coins this time.
-
Argh! You beat me to it, @Mokong This new gesture cracks me up!
-
I don't understand how that's even possible! I'm thinking about how difficult some of the Legend classes are, and I don't even want to imagine how much it takes to pull it off with no spirit team! And what do you do if a time limit is introduced!? I'm happy with just doing them with teams around the same power level, thank you very much.
-
Punch him @Hero-of-Time! Punch him right in the arm! LttP and Link's Awakening are solid entries!
-
I feel like that's low priority on the list of needed Kazuya patches.
-
Smakken highlight video is done! Includes a 23 Hit Combo Sandwich, Yummy Bees, a runaway crate, an epic capsule punch, and a healthy dose of yodeling! Featuring me as Blue Trousers Kazuya, @S.C.G as Red Trousers, @Dcubed as Gold Suit and @BowserBasher as Purple Suit. @RedShell played as Ryu, except for the fight with Min Min, where he played as Kirby. And @Sprout was basically everyone else (Including White Trousers), because he can't make up his damn mind!
-
Yeah, it's kinda bonkers how much damage the 10 Hit combo does (Around 40%!) I find some success in getting out of it if you manage to dodge towards Kazuya at a specific moment (That's gonna take practice) and you're prone to being interrupted in a free-for-all. That Final Smash is just utterly ridiculous though! So many times where I dodged the initial hit, but because someone else took the blow, I still got pummeled with the laser barrage! Definitely right up there with Diddy and Zelda in terms of how OP their Final Smash is.

Yep, it's a promotional card released yesterday.

Shinx's only notoriety is that until Sword/Shield's DLC, many were under the impression that Game Freak had completely forgotten it existed. You couldn't catch one natively for 3 generations! Riolu suffers from "Charizard" syndrome. Barely anyone actually likes Riolu, it only seems to be popular because you need one to get it's evolution, Lucario, which is crazy popular. This became quite obvious when X/Y came out, where you were given a Lucario partway through the game. People going for Pokédex completion tended to overlook Riolu, because they never saw one in the game. And yes, before you ask, I have terms for lots of weird phenomenon with Pokémon and their popularity.

The fact that there's a disclaimer pointing out that the game won't actually put the Triforce of Courage on the back of your hand is bloody hilarious! It also still feels very weird whenever a port gets more actual advertising then the original game did.
-
Well, FireRed/LeafGreen didn't name a Super Nerd after me for no reason.
-
Great noises = High pitched laughter and shouts of "Keep it going!" Couldn't believe how many times we nailed that timing!

Oh, you want some kind of actual answer, fair enough. Bidoof started off as Diamond/Pearl's Rattata replacement. Early Pokemon that isn't very good, but can learn a lot of HM's, so most people had one. It got a few fans because of how dopey it looks. But over time, it started garnering more fans due to 2 specfic games. The first would be the second Pokémon Mystery Dungeon, where a Bidoof was a large supporting role. Dopey as hell, but in an endearing sort of way. It also had a southern accent for some reason. Anyway that Bidoof was quite popular. The enhanced version of that game, Explorers of Sky, had a selling point of having 5 side stories that followed various NPC's. The first story was about that Bidoof. And just to compound upon that, the next generation (Black/White) came around and gave Bidoof a new ability, Moody. This ability became quite notorious because Smogon, a community of super serious Pokemon battlers, banned it because it had a chance of raising evasiveness. So you had this group of super powerful Pokemon deemed too OP for fair competition, and Bidoof. Naturally, the internet jumped on this, and Bidoof became one of the most popular non Gen 1 Pokemon. It's quite prominent in New Pokémon Snap, so that's kinda reignited it's popularity recently.

You know Rattata? Basically that, but way better.

This is one of those rare times where we actually agree. As far as gameplay goes, no Metroid has yet to match the feeling of just being badass Samus like Other M does.
-
That's a good thing, because @BowserBasher already claimed the purple suit.
-
It's only fitting that the greatest HM Slave (Banned on Smogon) gets it's own day! Utterly deserved.
-
Heads up, @markderoos, the Sophia and Arthur spirits are available through normal methods now. EDIT: Yes, I have gone back and refought every spirit fight to build up that score, and with mostly underpowered teams to boot! I hope we break the 1,500 mark, it's cutting it fine at this point.
-
Yep, 8pm. Best claim a costume, because I'm putting together a highlight reel and it'd be nice to easily identify everyone.
-
I feel like that's gonna get patched...

Well, we still haven't gotten a post from you three years ago, so I guess you're never getting one before you die, then. Might as well give up on that.
