  1. I happen to take my photos very seriously, thank you very much!
  2. Like clockwork, it seems that copies of this are starting to trickle out to the public, so beware of potential spoilers. Yes, I know it's weird for me to say that, giving how apathetic I am towards expecting anything new here, but if there is something new, I do want it to be a surprise. So keep it to yourself if you do decide to seek it out.
  3. All the characters that didn't have a role in New Horizons can now be called in The Roost with amiibo cards.
  4. That makes no sense. Home lets you edit your in-game boxes straight from the Switch application. And when you transfer from the 3DS, they get shoved into a Home box. There's no need for a middle man in Diamond/Pearl anymore. No official confirmation. But I wouldn't be surprised if it was just the first 493 Pokémon that are allowed to be used (Plus Sylveon). Sword/Shield may have limited the Pokémon out of necessity, but I'm concerned that it's success has started a worrying trend with that. I don't think you'll be able to have an in-game living Dex for a very long time.
  5. Stamina matches tonight at 8pm
  6. The Great Ace Attorney Chronicles N-Europe Review Just when you think you've seen it all, suddenly a review for a 3 month old game (as far as the West is concerned, anyway) appears! Thanks to @S.C.G for getting it up, and @RedShell for the site graphics. EDIT: Oh right! And @Jonnas for proofreading it.
  7. Some of the pictures of the homes I've designed for my victims clients in Happy Home Paradise.
  8. I mean, if that doesn't sell you on it... It's hard to give some concrete impressions of it right now. It's a very slow, gradual process, much like Animal Crossing. The idea being that you do a little every day and Paradise Planning develops as you progress. But there's a few things I can say you benefit from straight away. EDIT: I am getting way too much mileage out of taking a theme and giving my own spin on it!
  9. Might be a way to catch some Pokémon that are from Gen 5 onwards, that's what I would do. Nah, in actuality, what I would do is sprinkle those throughout the game to keep veterans guessing what could show up. But, in reality, it's gonna be neither. Because that would be nice, and we can't have nice things. I'd be amazed if anything from Black/White onwards showed up here. Further splitting up my living dex! My Inteleon's gonna be chilling out in Galar, while my Feraligatr is making the jump to HD by going back to Sinnoh and my Greninja will still be stuck in bloody low definition Alola! Keeping track of them all is going to devolve into a nightmare at this rate! Why must my favourite water starters be split up!? EDIT: Now that I think about it, it's really shocking that outside of Smash, Greninja hasn't shown up in a HD game! It's easily the most popular Kalos Pokémon, you'd think TPC would push it more.
  10. I saw that person flubbing the jump in the first castle level of 3D World! And they didn't even pick Toad for maximum speed! "Expert Gamers", my hole! But yeah, looks promising. Especially more sold on Trevor McDonald's voice there, as well.
  11. Difference this time is that you have access to some nutjob who has every Pokémon ready to go. (Granted, not all on the same game like he used to have...)
  12. Happy Home Paradise is available. I've already given various animals an ominous factory, a room that is FAR too sparkly, and the above literary horror. And yes, there are more books inside.
  13. They should just rename Pro Camera to "Jump Scare Camera" Stuff keeps startling me when I use it! Best not to use these recipes in real life...
  14. Correct me if I'm wrong, but it was more the fact that you were ignoring the 3DS to make your point seem more grand then it actually was. Switch doesn't have dedicated portable sales backing it up. So it's not quite the same situation as the WiiU.
  15. This is an interesting point. As far as I remember, Nintendo are the only ones that have ever had a flop on the scale of the WiiU and still stayed in the console making business. Sega are the primo example for what normally happens when a console mega flops.
  16. Couldn't help myself. Had to make that South Park reference. And my magnum opus of "First day with new camera" I waited 15 minutes for that perfect shot. No regrets!
  17. There's a Sword and Shield with literally 100% affinity when maxed out. The Narwa armour is very interesting, because it has wonderful little skill called "Stormsoul" Getting that to level 5 gives a 15% Thunder and Dragon Boost, which is nice, but it also adds 2 levels to every other skill on the armour! (Doesn't effect skills on weapons or Talismans, unfortunately) This is nuts! But going for a full Narwa set will inevitably leave you with skills that will go to waste. However, the Ibushi set also has Stormsoul, so you can mix and match between the two to choose which skills you want. For example, here's the skill set of the armour I currently have. Yeah, it's nuts! Any melee weapon can really do well if you carefully mix the two sets! Gunners don't gel well with these armour sets though. You mention the Valstrax set, so I'm gonna mention @Mokong, who frequently uses that set, and would be better equipped to explain why that set rocks.
  18. Honestly, this was my problem with Origami King. Outside of the actual bosses, (which are amazing) the battles got tedious.
  19. I think he actually did get that as his first Super Missile! Sequence breaking on his first playthrough? That's a Metroid fan in the making!
  20. Woah, woah, woah, hold up, @Julius You actually got early Super Missiles on your first playthrough!? Impressive! Zero Mission is an interesting case, because it was the first time the developers made a Metroid game with the intent of allowing people to get a very tiny amount of items. It's entirely possible to finish with just the Morph Ball, Bombs, a Missile Tank, the Power Grip, the Ice Beam, the Varia Suit and the 3 unknown items, giving you a measly 9%. It's bloody difficult! And the developers expected people to try this, as there's two ending screens that you only see if you finish the game with 15% or less. (One for Normal, one for Hard)
  21. Solid session tonight, @Ike and @BowserBasher, pretty balanced win rate all round. That triple Isabelle match had me second guessing the random character selection process. Just two weeks ago, we had a triple Palutena match because of it. Is this even random!?
  22. Ladies and Gentlemen, I present to you... Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity, or as I like to call it, "How to take BotW's soundtrack and just style all over it!" Not convinced already? Fine! This is boss music... from Chapter 2. It is better then any song in BotW. Oh, did I mention it's interactive? It shifts to this when you're halfway done! There's even another version when you nail a particularly damaging hit! In fact, almost every song that happens during gameplay has at least three different variations! But let's carry on. Here's some of that "Zelda just got silly" fight music that BotW was sorely lacking. In conclusion, when I say I don't like BotW's soundtrack, it's not because I think it's objectively bad, it's because there's greatness in there, but it's not allowed to really shine because it's too minimalistic. Age of Calamity proves that, without a doubt. Anyway, the latest DLC actually has new songs. So I'm looking forward to hearing that!
  23. Right, let's resume normal rotations with Stock format at 8pm tonight.
  24. Nope, not here. Annoying too, because Super Mario Party had one. There is a mode that pits you against random people online in minigames and you try and get the longest win streak. That's pretty fun! BTW, I'm always up for some board games.
