  1. Anything to make my eventual return to this game less painful, I suppose.
  2. Well, the whole point of Kirby has always been to be games that anyone can finish. It's the mission statement of the games.
  3. Well, @BowserBasher, you're the deciding vote. (I abstain) 3 sets, 2 games, or 3 sets, 6 games?
  4. Considering we're doing doubles, I was thinking 3 matches of 3 set, 2 game. So everyone gets paired with everyone once. Of course, this is all assuming the connection is stable, ours can handle Smash Bros, so it should be fine in theory...
  5. Who would've thought that both dinosaurs and bugs are vulnerable to baseballs and music? How very specific. This game looks fun, and stupid. Futupid.
  6. I legit want this, but not the 4 game one, I want the 6 game, multiple versions one. With that one, you could have every Wonder Boy game on one console. The article hints that version will be released as a digital copy, so I might wait for that one, because I don't want to pay 100 Euros for a bunch of extra tat I don't want.
  7. Oh right, I've unlocked 4 or 5 of the secret courts along with the 2 secret characters, so I suggest that I host. But I haven't unlocked all the star characters, so in the spirit of fair play, just don't use them. 3 sets, 6 games sound good? Or shorter?
  8. Kirby basically has two phases of gameplay, super easy, and super difficult. Super difficult tends to be the post-credits stuff. Star Allies's take on the arena is legit one of the hardest things I've done in Kirby history. It is positively brutal!
  9. I'm fine with either. Might be able to convince @Dcubed to join in if it's tonight.
  10. So Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII just dropped on Game Pass, so that's the next game on my list. I've only played 20 minutes of it, and I am already blown away with the direction the plot has taken! So get this, Lightning is literally Jesus. I don't mean in the whole "main character is the key to saving the world" I mean she literally got a visit from God himself, who tells her that she has been chosen to be the Saviour! I'm not making this up! God was name-dropped out of nowhere all of a sudden! I was dying of laughter! What the actual eff is going on!?
  11. You don't need to worry about that. By this point, every new Pokémon for this game has been designed and likely already has a 3D model ready courtesy of Creatures Inc.
  12. Yep, the touch screen is functionally different, so a lot of DS games that utilise it for anything more then simple and slow taps would be awful to play on the Switch. That's why it works on the WiiU, but Ninty would be hesitant to do the same on the Switch. I'm assuming he's talking about the upcoming closure of the 3DS eShop. Soon you won't be able to download anything from it.
  13. They got away with something worse in Banjo-Tooie... Yeah, western advertising was tailored to a very specific demographic. Considering that the gaming magazines almost had an exclusive audience in teenage boys, that's the kind of advertising they utilised. If it wasn't that, it was potshots at the competition. Which has led to quite a few hilarious in hindsight ads like this: Admit it, most of you forgot that game existed.
  14. Well, I'm available Thursday or Friday.
  15. Oh, that's neat. Shame I'm never changing from my Mii's "Draw me like one of your French girls" pose. Why mess with perfection? It could use a nice frame, so hopefully, it comes over here. EDIT: Oh wait, you can't use any element of these on a Mii avatar? Fail! Guess my profile pic gets no update then.
  16. Yeah, I have to wonder if anyone at Game Freak are kicking themselves for not waiting until this game to have regional variants of those birds. Then again, I guess it's more likely that the English names weren't taken into account at all.
  17. Talking to named characters can sometimes have them talk about other named characters, which raises the affinity chart, and may unlock new quests. Thankfully, the mini-map does mark named characters. Shulk's is the first extra tree you can get, so it's definitely possible now.
  18. If you have Colony 9 at 4 star, you should be able to get Shulk's extra one by now. And I recommend doing so. Shulk gets some really useful skills from it. I'd say Dunban's are the best ones though, but that's harder to do. Make sure Shulk is in the lead and talk to everyone there, both at day and night.
  19. Yeah, Colony 6 is a right pain to do without a guide. And it's annoying even with one. Seeing as you're trying to get area affinities up, I have to ask, how many skill trees has Shulk got currently?
  20. Open the details of a game while you're on the game selection screen. It shows it near the top. It's a total playtime, so after your initial playthrough, it's not much use for timing yourself, and it's not good for speedrun purposes, because it includes any time you spend watching the Title Screen or watching the ending, but it's still neat.
  21. Oh yeah, ever since X and Y, the designs have been steadily leaning on the country of inspiration more and more. And I think it's great. I think Galar specifically has the most consistently high quality designs since Unova. And they really lean heavily on it. Football, Corgis, tea, a fox named "Nickit", James Bond if he was a chameleon, and the crow-operated black cab, to name a few. And that's not to mention the handful of Pokémon based around the rise of popular music that Britain is known for. We've got a drummer gorilla, Zigzagoon redesigned to be a KISS fan, and the punk rock lizard. The only missed opportunity is the lack of a Dragon Pokémon based on the Welsh flag. I do wonder if the references seem more obvious to us because we are from the UK? Well, I suppose that theory will be put to the test once these games are released and @Jonnas takes it upon himself to give us some explanations for Pokémon designs that will no doubt go over our heads.
  22. A quick reminder to never take the region inspiration for granted when it comes to Pokémon designs. A lot of people took Alola's Hawaiian inspiration as guarantee for a Dolphin Pokémon to be happening. Nothing came of it.
