Just handing out invites, I've been on since it was 1gb.
-
Gmail is e.mail from Google.. it's very good and free. While it is in beta you have to be invited. I have invites for anyone who is still on old fashioned Hotmail. You get 10mb attachments, 2.0+ gigabytes of space so you don't need to delete mail, a world class spam filter, only text adverts, a search feature, fully compliant with Outlook/Thunderbird/Apple Mail. It's pretty much the best.. but it's become a bit of a boys club because you have to know a geek to get invited.. which can be tough. Most people will have it by now if you want it, certainly the chances are slim that you've not heard of it. By the way, it works with MSN and takes about 5 minutes to migrate using multiplatform guides. Any takers?

DSLite in TIME gadget of the year awards!
Nintendork replied to Sanchez's topic in General Chit Chat
DS lite and MacBook pro are both shit gadgets. What about something that saves someone's life. Ive's has had enough awards for the iPod, MacBook and PowerBooks. He doesn't need anymore. Where as the DS lite is nothing fantastic.. it has great software and looks cool, but it's not high tech.. it's not pioneering technology. Thus neither get my vote. -
Nobody cares really. Unless you own stock in any of the above companies. NOBODY SHOULD CARE (at least)

oh well, i can't take back my one star. such is the level of thought that a 1am unemployed caffeinated teenager gives to such things.

Connexions staff are poor, as soon as you phone up ask for the specialist careers advisor, otherwise you will get your job interest typed into a computer. Followed by a computer generated response advising you to do something that the computer says. Talking to a humanoid is much better than talking to a computer through a human.. often they only have 1 careers advisor on at once so you might have to wait for them to call you back.

Calling any American/Canadians/Related
Nintendork replied to Nintendork's topic in General Chit Chat
I never rated Mountain Dew.. but Lucky Charms, Jolly Ranchers and Reese's Cups are winners. I always loved the sweet for it's powerful taste.. the UK confectionary market is pretty stagnant, you've got a couple of chocolate giants owning the place with the same old ideas rehashed Dairy Milk + what? mint, orange, nuts, crunchie. Don't get me wrong, I love Skittles and Starburst (OPAL FRUITS!) Jelly babies.. they are my favourite UK sweets.. but Jolly Ranchers blow them all away. Except the grapefruit flavoured Starburst Jelly bean which is quite godly. -
First of all your impression of the Job Centre is quite misinterpreted. They're very good these days.. my one was very helpful.. while they do cater to the masses like myself they will help you out. Secondly never stop learning, true wisdom is understanding that you know nothing. Thirdly, don't up yourself too much.. you migth be better than the job but there's more to life than money and being the best you can be. If you're not challenged then fair enough but you shouldn't think this way. Lastly.. err, what was I gonna say now? hmm.. oh yeah, do something you enjoy and you'll never work a day in your life. I'm on a gap year right now.. part of me wants to go to University, work hard for a few years and get a good job with lots of money. Part of me wants to doss around, get a shitty job with few prospects but enjoy my life with my friends in my hometown. Skateboarding, getting drunk and the like. Life is very boring in the middle bit, why bother with it all? 20 years of schooling and they put you on the day shift as Bob Dylan once wrote. I'd shoot myself if I had to live every day the same, no spontaneousness, living a slave to the things you own and borrowing money to live (mortgages etc..) Part of me is a rebel.. and they always end up fools but do what you feel you want to, not what you should do. If that makes sense. Should being your sensible side, want being yourself.

first few minutes pale an insignificance to a consoles life time.

Matt C says Wii Sports sucks.. I am not even calling it a game anymore.. it's a technical demo. and a crummy one at that.. it takes a mere 2 hours to master every game except bowling apparently. That one is a laugh and has a steady learning curve.
-
Short first impressions aren't valid in my books.. for either console. A system has a learning curve.. as does the game. Technical flaws such as frame rates then fair enough but saying Fall of Man just copies other games on what is potentially a 20 minute play session is ludicrous.

/me honestly expects to see a £199.99 pak, a game like Rayman, Red Steel or Super Monkey Ball: Banana Blitz. I'll be happy to pay that.

Play.com - Cancellations and Confirmations

/me is amazed in this day and age such an important e.mail can get placed in the spam filter. I would suggest changing supplier/application. -
Edge is £9.99 for 3 months, inclusive of Royal Mail postage, packaging and any credit/debit fees. £3.33 per issue when you consider the overall cost. Not only that but you get it a day early.

Play.com - Cancellations and Confirmations

But there is no discussion.. it was innevitable that before stock allocations were announced web preorders would outweigh supply. It is merely a case of did you get a pre-order? Yes- no worries No- try again elsewhere. -

But you fail to consider that.. if it is applicable to them then they will get an e.mail and read it at their own accord. -

Another post that could have gone in the pre-order thread. -
