More games that hopefully will end up being decent and that people will actually buy...

Surpise, a firmware upgrade with a free Virtual console game and reduced loading times as the loading times for the Wiis current interface aren't impressive at all, were almost getting to Sony territory here with loading times.

As i've mentioned in other threads, this has singlehandedly make me wait for a PAL Wii console despite having the opportunity to get it at US launch.

Something about looking at a bottom that looks to be a male one (despite it being as smooth as a babys) isn't quite right... 3/10. -
What are your Wii launch day plans? [New podcast Hot Topic]
solitanze replied to Conor_NE's topic in Nintendo Gaming
Withdraw money out of my bank account and buy it. Thats it really. Could've had a Wii back around the launch of the US Wii but was turned off by the fact that Wii Sports comes with a cardboard slip so i've waited until the Wii gets released in PAL regions so I can get the PAL Wii package that has Wii Sports in the glory that is the white game case. -

We shall see in due time... With this post, I have equalled my record for the most amount of posts in 1 thread, which was 84 in the original Twilight Princess thread but got cut short due to being one of the first users to be banned from a specific thread.

By the end of 2007 at the VERY earliest well hopefully start to see games fully utilising the capabilities of the Wii Mote. Live with the fact that for the next 12 months at least, during this experimentation phase, we'll see a much greater quantity of mediocre games than ever before while developers successfully familiarise themselves with the hardware and experiment as to whether there is a sufficient user base to maximise profits. The problem though is that with this unfamiliarity comes the trade off with developers feeling "forced" to tack on Wii Mote controls and thus shun out decent graphics in favour of control. Its funny, the purpose of Wii being technically inferior is to reduce development costs, but it seems to have not achieved this with developers feeling obligated to tack on Wii Mote controls, its taking developers more time to make games, this important resource is being drained and thus developers in order to maintain adequate efficieny, aren't polishing up their games graphics to an acceptable standard. Its all well and good if there were a balance between the two, the problem is, even with the decent games that have released on Wii in the US, theres still too much of a sacrifice of gaming fundamentals in favour of a generally unintuitive control schemes that takes a step backwards instead of forward. In other words, gaming journalists want Wii games to maintain convential gaming fundamentals while having additional Wii Mote capabilities that enhances the game (I think the 1st Wii game to officially achieve this will be Super Mario Galaxy), rather than detracts from the experience which is what most Wii launch titles have done and with these second rate efforts comes dissatisfied gamers wanting better games and thus out of retaliation, consumers will not buy these games, although crucial early on in a consoles life and then you'll have developers thinking why should I go to the effort of making games if they won't sell? These 1st impressions (performance wise) are extremely important and must be mended with adequate sales figures in order to correct Nintendos damaged reputation amongst some of the worlds leading game publishers. We must support the developers that attempt to support the Wii, for better or for worse if Nintendo are to have any chance what so ever in succeeding this generation.

I wonder if the Hudson fishing game that has literally vomit material graphics will end up rating higher than Rapala Fishing...

Both responses are correct, but in this case, unlike Twilight Princess where the benchmark was set that, that game has to achieve greatness with its average ratio due to Nintendo reps declaring it the best Zelda game ever made, If I were even remotely interested in Call Of Duty 3, i'll lower my expectations but the review scores are still too low for my liking anyway. The major reason for me not getting this particular game is the fact its multi format and available on PS3 and Xbox 360.

Neither am I.

I like these sort of novelty things, for completionists sake, i'll get one, but it is an afterthought really...

Some magazines do, some don't, supposedly they have to be editorial reviews, i'm not so certain on the EXACT criteria for a sites review being listed, i'm sure its on the website somewhere...

Kirby Air Ride on GCN, closing in on completing all 360 objectives accross the three modes of Air Ride, Top Ride and City Trial and there are some pretty darn challenging objectives in the game. The games really not as bad as reviews make it out to be although nothing the games nothing spectacular either. I'm becoming quite the Air Ride Master, might consider actually producing a detailed FAQ on this game, its seriously lacking on the net due to the huge amount of objectives to fulfill in the game.

With online play and new maps would be nice, but just its very appearance will please a lot of people if it ends up becoming a reality.

I'm a little disappointed Nintendo didn't go with the Gold Boxart, but I like the fact that they still go to the effort in printing color instruction manuals... -
At one stage they say Dog controls...

I won't even be using the strap, always had no interest in the straps. I have supurb grip/clutching ability anyway, GUARANTEED, I will not let go of the controller. Of course I won't be swinging with extreme force like these guys have.
